A Few J.Crew Spring Arrivals *Continued*

I made another trip out to my local J.Crew today, and was able to get a couple more photos to share. I also made some updates to my previous J.Crew Spring Arrivals post from Thursday. :)

UPDATE: Thank you to ladolcevita for more information on this jacket. The name is the Faille Maisey Jacket, and it also comes in Dusty Rose and Dark Charcoal. It is so feminine and very flattering on. I tried on the size 4 and it fit well, but I could have possibly worn a size 2, but there was not one in the store to try on. The color code on the tag is CHA, and it retails for $148. The next picture is the back of it.

This is the pink and green sweater I mentioned in the other Spring Arrivals post. I wear a Small in this one. $88

This piece is trench coat length with ruffles at the collar and a tie at the waist. It has very small stripes, and the color is called Natural. It's lightweight, as well. $168

Have you made it to your J.Crew to check out the new Spring Arrivals? Is there anything in particular you're interested in?

  1. Thanks for posting! The long trench w/ruffle collar looks really wrinkled. They must've pulled it straight from the box for you. :) So far I am not going crazy over anything but am keeping a watchful eye on the Travel Trench. I may feel differently after a trip to the store.

Are you making any suggestions on must-have spring items?

  3. Thanks for the sweater picture and price info. I appreciate it. What is your opinion of the print? Is the sweater cotton or merino? Thanks again:)

  4. Hi anon@ 5:27! I personally LOVE the pink and green sweater, and think it looks prettier IRL than in the photo. It's cotton, btw. :)

  5. FFM,

Thanks again for the info. and pictures. Hopefully, JCrew will come out with a tank in the green color to go with the sweater. Or did you see any? Also, is that navy blue I see in the sweater?

    THanks:)

  6. If my memory serves me correctly, the darker color is actually a darker green. The lighter green is similar to the Golden Cypress color they are making now. I did see many new colors of tees and tanks, but honestly didn't have time to match any of them to the cardigan...sorry! I would think, however, that they will offer something in a shade that will work with it. I actually had it on with the Cupcake tank in shell, and even though it was a lighter color than the pink in the cardigan, it still looked cute. :)

  7. Thanks for taking the time to post these great pics! Unfortunately, I don't live near a B&M, so I really love when you and others post IRL pics! The pink/green sweater is beautiful. I've ordered the Travel Trench, should arrive next week, so I'm anxious to see how it works out for me.

Thanks FFM! Love that pink and green cardi!!! Is it soft? Sometimes printed cardis have that stiff, 'painted' feel...

  9. FFM, I saw that first jacket today and it reminded me of the chino cooper jacket from the front. Which I know we both have and love! :) I hope it comes in more colors since I bought the cooper jacket in khaki.
My b&m had the sweater displayed but not out yet. I did like the print and would be interested in it once it goes on sale.

  10. I really like the pink and green cardigan. Were there any other printed cardigans? When will the spring line appear online?

  11. I did purchase the long 'trench' with ruffle collar in natural (4). It's a twisted cotton that is supposed to appear wrinkled, and looks lovely IRL (are you proud of me slastena?). I love it, the fit is very nice. Great shape.

  12. cdp: Does the trench have small stripes?

  13. IRL: So far my personal favorites are the Chiffon Floral Tee, Cupcake Tee, The Pink and Green Cardigan, the Quartz Favorite Fit Chinos, and Buttery Twill Trousers. The ripped/torn look of the Cupcake tank has been shown on the runways of designers such as Zac Posen, Salvatore Ferragamo, Dior, and Chanel, among others. Click Here for Couture Carrie . The Gladiator style sandals are also a Spring trend, as well as bold statement earrings, which J.Crew has already debuted in the Lookbook.

Elizabeth in MO: Congratulations on the Travel Trench! Which color did you get?

Paper Bag Princess: I thought the cardi was soft...it reminds me of the fit and feel of the Jackie Cardigan, but with buttons like the Melanie Cardigan.

Math Teacher: I thought the exact same thing about the Khaki Jacket...very reminiscent of the Cooper Chino Jacket. It would be divine in Navy or Black.

Joyce: I have heard the Spring Arrivals will be online towards the end of this week...fingers crossed!!!

  15. Hi Fabulous Florida Mommy! I like the long ruffle trench a lot, especially because it is subtly striped. I also like the pink and green sweater. I stopped by my local J. Crew in Tucson, Arizona and they didn't have either of these items (it's a really small store). Thank you so much for posting!!!

  16. Ooh, you're right - that new jacket in navy or black WOULD be divine! I hope someone is listening! :)

  18. I went back to my BM today too. They had the chiffon flower tee in a light pink and only had smalls left. All other sizes were gone. I did buy it in the cream. Also bought a long shawl collar cardigan in cream that I didn't even notice, but SA insisted I try on, and she was right. I loved it. SA told me that there are several items being released this spring with very limited quantities. She reviewed a couple of them with me by name, but no didn't have a pics.

  19. meant to say, but she didn't have any pics! I guess it's getting late!!!

  20. FFM: The twisted cotton trench doesn't have actual 'stripes', it is a textured cotton in a monotone natural shade.

I didn't see the shawl collar cardigan...did you? I will check that out on Tuesday, my PS said the new jewelry line will be coming in then. Cheers!! =)

  21. Perhaps I need glasses after all.... after looking again in daylight, the cotton natural trench does appear to have very subtle stripes. I wouldn't consider it a 'striped' coat, but they are there if you look closely. Hope that helps =)

  22. Thanks cdp! I thought I remembered subtle stripes on the trench...actually there seems to be a *stripe* theme going on with the new Spring line so far. I would like to get the striped buttery twill trousers...so pretty. :)

  23. Thanks FFM for posting! I'm heading to my B&M today and cannot wait to see what they have! Have a great day! MHJC

  24. Thank you for posting the photos, I really appreciate the IRL views. You mentioned you have the Jackie cardigan in shell pink. I'm curious, do you purchase the Jackie shell when you purchase the cardigans?

I have been buying the Jackie and its predecessor for years. I only did purchase both cardi and shell together once until last year and now I am always purchasing as a twinset. I find I can wear the shell under a suit or over a shirt as a vest, as well as with the cardi as a twinset. I'd like to know if others do the same or mainly just go for the cardis.

    What do you usually do?

  25. Hi FFM! I had another question about the new arrivals...you mentioned that you saw the Annie cami. How does it compare to the Elizabeth, as far as fit goes? Is it a halter style too? Is the shape similar? TIA!

    ReplyDelete
  26. Hi musthavejcrew! Have fun today! I can't wait to hear what you think about the new arrivals and find out what you get! :)

  27. Hello and4mynexttrick! I have been buying the shell and cardigans seperately, although I do actually own the Black Twinset and Honey Glaze twinset, but each piece was purchased at different times. I do like the look of them together, but usually end up wearing them separately. :)

  28. Good Morning AppGal! The Annie is cut generously, but not nearly as much as the Elizabeth was. I found it very large under the arms, even on the size 0, but it was definitely not as full in the body as the Elizabeth. I consider it a halter style, but the neckline seems to cover a little more of the shoulder area on this one. HTH! :)

  29. About the long trench: I really liked the fabric and tried it on at the B&M yesterday. I usually wear a 12 in JC coats and jackets but this was too tight across bust/upper arms. I would need a 14 and it was not in. I thought this was a lovely item! It is a soft wrinkled fabric and i liked that a lot.
