Monochromatic Neutrals

Monochromatic Neutrals
Monochromatic Neutrals - by FFM on Polyvore.com

This is so pretty IRL...I love the feminine and soft feel that the chiffon and monochromatic neutral colors give to the outfit. The Dainty Knotted Necklace is one of my favorite pieces, and I wear it almost daily. It is perfect for layering with all of the other necklaces such as the Crystal Snowball, Twisted Crystal, and now the new Layering Necklaces, as well.

  1. Gorgeous on you I bet. I cannot wear all beige with my coloring but very nice set:)

I just got online and order the white Victoria ruffle blouse and the ivory dotted Victoria ruffle cami. Please tell me I am going to love these pieces??? I hope so! Would the cami look good with the gray Astrid boucle? I ordered that too along with 3 different colored Cheri camis.

  4. If the cardigan goes down more in price I might consider it. I just think I would get bored with it fast. I don't know why...just the feeling I get. I keep adding it and then taking it out of my shopping cart b/c I am just not in love with it.

  5. Hi FFM!

OT: which color of the high heel flares do you have: "clena indigo" or "indigo" (if you can recall)? I can't really tell the difference, other than $20 :)

    TIA!

  7. Hi Smarty! My HHF are the Clean Indigo, item #97106. :)

  8. Yea! Those are $20 less than the "indigo". :) Thanks!

  9. Thank you so much for making those sets w/ the chiffon cardigan! I was thinking about khaki pants/capris, but wasn't sure until I saw your set! I just returned my Spring Dots Nicky skirt, it just didn't look right on me, as much as I wanted it to! I also like the idea of it w/ the Saturday pants. Which color of the Saturday (navy or mossy)?
Thanks again for all the inspiration!

P.S. I just got back from my Target and can't find that pearl necklace, boohoo!

  10. Good Morning C! I like the cardigan with both Navy and the Mossy Shadow...I plan to wear it with both. It's really whichever you personally prefer. :)

  11. Thanks FFM!

Is Mossy Shadow a dark olive green?
I also bought the new dainty bead layering necklace (in the lt. pink)! I'm so proud bc I got that even before I saw you had it! I thought that color w/b more versatile.
    Thanks again!

  12. Oh good! The necklace is really pretty. :) The Mossy Shadow is like a dark olive green. I had hoped they were going to offer a lighter *Army* green, but this color is still nice...it looks pretty with all the light pink tops and sweaters, too.

  13. So cute. I wish I could wear cropped pants now, but it is freezing up here in the northeast!

  14. Anon @ 11:51 - The pearl necklace is available on target.com for $5.49

  15. FFM, good point about the Mossy color looking good w/ all the pinks (I'm thinking the chiffon flower tshirt in pink w/b pretty with the pants or the fresco cardigan).

D ♥, thanks for the heads up for the necklace at target online, I will try that route...

    Thanks,
    C

  17. Beautiful outfit on you! I have to shop for some necklaces! I wear so much silver, rather than gold - I guess I could do/have the safe effect with silver necklaces? LOVE your style and IRL pics (OK, that will be the last time I tell you that!).

    ReplyDelete
  18. "same" effect, not safe!

    ReplyDelete
  19. Thanks Girls! :)

Elizabeth, you can definitely achieve the same effect with silver necklaces instead of gold.

  20. Girl, you are just too fab. I second Kim, and love the IRL pics. That cardi is so pretty. I have been watching it, and see that it has gone down in price...but I am not buying nay more FS merch!

  21. FFM, if you don't mind revealing, what size did you take in that cardigan? We look about the same size.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Oh, I don't mind...this cardigan is a size Small. :)

  23. I'm so terribly jealous that you can run around town in capris and cardis sans a heavy coat! Old man winter go away!

  24. Oh how great you look! I am into the monochromatic look this year. Great for us shorter women to make us look taller.

  25. Hi Fabulous Florida Mommy -

I love your taste in clothes and have spent hours looking and drooling over your sets. Please keep posting them. I bet you have hundred of silent followers like me.

  26. love this cardi on you! seeing in IRL makes me think i should grab one. keep up the wonderful sets!

  27. I wish JCrew would put all of their final sale stuff in the outlets (instead of the "outlet" stuff). Then I could actually see it in person and try it on AND I wouldn't have to pay shipping. Then we would buy it all! Just rambling...

  28. Guilty! I am a total "silent follower" and addicted to your sets, FFM! They are chock full of great ideas. In the morning when getting dressed, I now think, "What would FFM do?" :)

If at all possible, I would love if you could help come up with ideas on how to wear (with jeans- I work in a casual office) the J.Crew cashmere v-neck bow sweater in cantaloupe. It has a deep V, with a cashmere bow at the base of the V. It has been sitting in my closet the past 3 months, untouched. I have no idea what to do with it beyond wearing it with a white cami underneath. Starting to regret the purchase! TIA and I completely understand if you do not have the time!

  29. You looks Florida fabulous!!! Love the outfit!

  30. FFM,

You completely inspired my outfit today, khaki pants, taupe shell and the fabulous ivory maggie. Thanks for your awesome ideas!

  31. love love love this outfit! after going from a size 6 to a size 2 (three babies in four years-yay for finally losing the weight!) i need to build a new wardrobe from scratch. your sets are helping me decide which pieces i can make the most of to stretch my budget. i love your classic style! so wishing i had a jcrew store closeby.....

  32. FFM - you are so cute! I always love viewing your sets.

  33. Hi! What a great look! Very chic! I was wondering if you could do a set based around the Metallic-flecked pencil skirt item number 99466- it's a gorgeous skirt but I'm at a loss at how to style it beyond the obvious black cashmere turtleneck on top... All help appreciated!

  34. Hi FFM...May I ask how tall you are? You seem to have an easy time wearing heels. I'm 5'7 ish and can do a 2-2 1/2 inch heel in boots, but feel awkward in the 3 inch heels for work (teacher). I get the giraffe syndrome as I tower over my students! (Please don't suggest the giraffe tee.lol)

    ReplyDelete
  35. Hi Monogramgirl! I am only 5'4", and have been wearing heels for as long as I can remember...I love having the little bit of extra height they give me. You are so fortunate to be 5'7", and even 5'10 ish with a 3 inch heel...I would LOVE to be that tall! My normal heel height is 3 inches, but the Juliet Midheels are only 2.75 inches...do you have any of them?

    ReplyDelete
  36. Btw...have you ever tried the Cole Haan Fiona Pump? It comes in low, mid, and high heel...I have on the midheel in the post with my distressed jeans. They are the Naked Calf color, which is basically Camel. I love them. :)

    ReplyDelete
  37. Thanks FFM. I just measured my boots and they are about that same height. I am going to have to try the Juliette midheels. They are my favorites, but I assumed they were a 3 inch...guess I was missing the "midheel" part. Great advice...as always.

  38. FabulousFloridaMommy; many beautiful blondes stay away from wearing beiges and neutrals for the fear of being "washed"out, and I am so happy you are not being fearful. This neutral palette looks stunning on you; brings out your gorgeous tan ( I bet it's year round), complements golden locks. Overall effect is very sophisticated and elegant. I really like this cardi.

  39. I love that outfit! and every other one you post :)
