Took my 3 year-old to his Evaluation for Occupational Therapy today. My tank is actually from Target and is close in color to the Dusty Rose Peep Toes. The tank is not available online, unfortunately, so I cannot show an actual picture. It was marked down to $4.48. YAY! The blazer is grey. I am showing pics of the BR bag for Lanie. :)

  1. FFM;
So adorable, and visually on-point, as always! ;)

  2. Very put-together! Love pink in any type of "professional" outfit.

I'm so glad you have put real life photos on here. I feared it was a matter of time before people made rude comments. Don't let it dissuade you. You have a LOT of friends out here in blog-land.

BTW, I hope the dr's visit went well. Sometimes dealing with doctors and your own children is rough.

  3. I'm taking my 7 year-old for his OT evaluation tomorrow. I won't look nearly as fabulous, but it's good to know that I have some company.

  4. This is a great look because it is professional but not overly done. Love it!

  5. Professional and mommy-chic! Beautiful as always! Beautiful bag, also! Hope dr. appt goes well - I have 3 wonderful boys - their health and well-being is always #1 concern and worry but I wouldn't trade it for anything!

  7. Hi FFM

I hope you are not taking to heart the previous days comments...you are so helpful to all of us. I don't recall you needing or asking for anyone's advice. I think you are "fab" and I enjoy checking in to your blog. I feel like you keep me connected to style. Thanks!

  8. I would like to second what SS said. We love you FFM!

For some reason I am lacking a natural sense of style, and I am learning so much from your blog. Thank you!

  9. Ditto to all of the above. I love your blog! It is one of my favorite daily distractions!

  10. I agree -- lovely. Your oufits inspire me very much. Thanks for posting.

I didn't see the drama, but don't worry about any crackpots on haterade. That stuff causes bad karma.

  11. Oh and you got that BR bag. I love-ded that bag and showed some restraint. It's super gorgeous.

  12. Grey and pink go so well together! You looked fantastic ; elegant and polished, very lady-like!

  13. Thank you girls! I truly appreciate the words of support and encouragement!

The appointment went well...my 3 year old has Cerebral Palsy and currently receives Physical Therapy. However, it is important for him to now also receive Occupational Therapy, and hopefully Speech before too long. Unfortunately he has to *qualify* for these services, and that's what today's appointment was. As soon as the pediatrician signs the paperwork he will be able to get started. YAY!!

Mamacita, you are definitely not alone! Best wishes for tomorrow...please let me know how it goes! :)

  14. Gigi: I actually got the bag on SUPER Sale at the BR in the mall. It was already reduced, but then I noticed blue ink pen on one side so they gave me an extra 20% off...YAY!!!

This reminds me: does anyone have any tips for removing ink from leather?

  15. You look so chic FFM! I love the combination of grey, pink and denim in this outfit.

  16. FFM, you need your own theme song! Always love your outfits. For cleaning leather, I highly recommend saddle soap or glycerin soap. I've found those two will get just about anything out of leather. It will help your bag last forever too!

  17. Great outfit!

I had always heard that hairspray works well, using a small amount at a time, rubbing the stain. I once got most of a horrendous marker stain out of Coach bag this way.

  18. I think it is great that the Starbuck's coffee is a part of the Polyvore set! :)

  19. I love this combo! Looks so great on you!

I have just started to use Polyvore and L*O*V*E it! Random question...do the items disappear on Polyvore when they disappear on the website? I was thinking of compiling "My Closet" in the "My Items" tab so I can easily see what is in my closet, but don't want to waste my time if it is going to disappear! TIA!

  20. Thank you A Bigger Closet! I noticed we were both in pink today! :)

Roxy and HeidiG: thank you for the compliments and advice on removing the ink. I will definitely be giving them a try! :)

Alexis: I absolutely LOVE Starbucks! It's alwyas my first stop when I head out to run errands, go to appointments, etc.

Laura: The items don't get deleted once they aren't available anymore, so you are safe to fill your Polyvore closet with the items you own IRL. :)

    On pen mark removal...
I've used rubbing alcohol w/ q-tips; it's gotten the marks out but you risk lightening surrounding area, if the area is a darker color. I've used mr. clean magic eraser, this works, and I've also heard of using tea tree oil(haven't tried it though). Good luck!

  22. Ooooh... I never heard that about tea tree oil. I will have to try it sometime. It is truly magical!

I use Ivory dishwashing liquid on every type of stain. It won't leave a residue and gets everything I've run into out.

  24. Hi FMM,
I just want to tell you how much I appreciate your blog - your outfits, comments and pictures! You are an inspiration. I have three boys - the youngest 18 mos and I am just trying to get my groove back :) I love reading your posts - you get me fired up to get back to *me* - and being a fabulous mommy (and wife) while doing it. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

  25. Thank you for the tips Posey and SS!

Lanie, you are welcome! The bag is beautiful and the leather is very soft, but I also wanted to mention that it is fairly heavy on its own (without anything in it) so that is something to consider before purchasing.

Mack, thank you so much! :)

  26. FFM, I love how you put together your outfits! I check your blog daily to give myself ideas on how to combine pieces into sharp looking outfits. (I live in Atlanta so our weather is similar). Sometimes I get in a clothing rut and your outfits and real-life pics are such inspiration! I dont know how you do it, but you always look fab!

  27. Re: your question on another blog (My Delightful Obsessions) about Dolce & Gabanna handbags. Try posting your authenticity question on this forum:

You have to sign up as a member but the members are generally very helpful. Bags used to be my obsession until I switched over to clothing :).

    Hope that helps.

  28. Great outfit. Don't you love that jacket?

I'm gonna wear mine today and run out to Target to try to find the pink tank.

    thanks!

  29. Thank you for the information Francesca! :)

fidele, I absolutely ADORE this blazer...it's one of my favorite pieces of clothing! I hope you find the tank...they had other colors, as well. White, a pretty almost forest green, and a red that is sort of a burgandy/rust color...very pretty. I like that they aren't ribbed, they are a substantial weight, the length is slightly longer for layering, and the straps are wide enough to cover a bra strap, too. :)

  30. Just wanted to update: I actually found the pink tank online at Target, but it's still full price. Target really needs to post better pictures on their website...here's the link: Pink Tank at Target . It doesn't perfectly match the Dusty Rose peep toes, but it does *go*.

  31. Thank you, thank you for your "wearing today" outfits. It is so helpful to have something like this to reference and then take to my closet to see how I can make it work with my wardrobe. I wore a similar outfit today to a seminar I went to. Thanks again!
