*Casual Chic* Looks for Spring and Summer

I've received numerous emails from women, including stay-at-home moms and working moms who want to achieve a *casual chic* look for everyday and/or weekends, while still remaining comfortable, so I thought I would devote a post to the subject, and pull some sets from the Polyvore archives. The sets were created based on actual or similar pieces I own and wear...they are comfortable, easy to create, yet *pulled together* at the same time. I will be creating more looks as we move into Spring and Summer, but will also be *shopping my closet* with the pieces I have in these sets.

Another great option is an embellished tee under a cute little blazer or jean jacket with cropped pants or bermudas...I'll be creating sets with these pieces in the near future. :)

  6. Fantastic options - thanks for sharing We can all use the help as we get stuck in our ruts. Because I work 99% from home, I can usually wear whatever, so it's tempting to slide into slumpadinka territory some days.

It seems your recipe is a good mix of color (or nice blend of neutrals) and fun pieces with some great accessories to make our everyday blah move up to tra-la-la-la. And that's why I added the pearls to the hoodie and jeans combo today for puppy's 1st vet visit. :)

  7. I like all the walking-short options. That really is the perfect piece for "on the go" and still looks put together :)

  10. Great post!! You know I am ALWAYS looking for these type of outfits! Thanks!!

One thought I had last night was I wish there was a list somewhere that said what colors went well with each other. I looked up a color wheel on-line but I feel that I need more. Something like what you did the other day where you listed a color then gave a list of 10 other colors that went well with it. Do you know if anything like that is out there? I would love to hang it in my closet when I get ready in the am.

  15. Love the sets! I am so glad to see that you are using the honey glaze. I was going to put away my honey glaze cardi but I think maybe I will leave it out and try to wear it! Thanks for all the great ideas:)

  16. All so pretty! I really love the blue Jackie cardi sets and the Suzannah cami sets. I've basically been living in my 2 chiffon rosette tees. Between the cream and shell pink one, they go with everything in my wardrobe. Definitely two of the best investments I made this season.

Your sets are also really helpful in keeping me on track with wearing what I already have instead of buying more. Thank you!

  18. I love that first outfit. love love love it. I had to go to a jewelry party tonight, Silpada. And they had many great necklaces and bracelets that would look fabulous with that simple jeans and white t-shirt.
