Spring Cleaning: My *Deep Clean* Mission Begins

With my Decluttering and Organizing complete, I now embark on my *Deep Clean* mission...curtains, windows, baseboards, and walls: here I come!!! I am armed with my Windex, and Magic Eraser. If you have never tried the Magic Eraser you really, really should because it is, well...MAGIC! This little *eraser* will remove just about anything: crayon, fingerprints, unknown substances, you name it, and it erases it...I have one in my house at all times.
If my *Deep Clean* mission goes as planned, it will be complete by the end of today, leaving tomorrow for my regular house cleaning...just in time for my *baby's* Birthday Celebration on Sunday. He will be 2 years old...where DID the time go???

What are your plans for today? I know several of you have posted that you are also Spring Cleaning...how are doing? Are you making a lot of progress?

  1. Good luck with the deep clean today! You will be so satisfied at the end of the day!! I still haven't found the time for my jewelry board project but I do have the materials - 2 bulletin boards - I'm thinking a smaller one over a slightly larger one, plus fabric, ribbon, pins, etc. Will post as soon as I complete!

  2. I have to do that too, I keep putting it off. I have washed and put my winter stuff away, and brought out my Spring clothes. I have lost alot of weight so my Goodwill bag is pretty big. Have a good weekend.

  3. Good Morning Heidi and casual-crew! I hope you both have a FABULOUS day!

Heidi, I am looking forward to seeing pics of your completed jewelry board! I love the idea of covering it with fabric and ribbon. :)

casual-crew, congratulations on your weight loss, and the progress on your Spring cleaning! I know that both must make you feel fantastic. :)

  4. Good luck with your deep cleaning, FFM. And also happy birthday to your little man, hope he has a fantastic time. On the topic of spring cleaning, I have been decluttering for 2 weeks (I had to make a brief pause as I got sick). Today I am cleaning the place, but the windows - my big task so far - will have to wait, since the weather is still chilly and wet. So, hopefully sun will come out next week, so I can tackle this chore.

  5. Oh my goodness, I completely agree that the magic eraser is *magic* in sponge form! I can't figure out what makes it so amazing! But amazing it is, and like you, I always have one in the house. It truly does clean anything.

Good luck on your spring cleaning! I'm feeling the urge to start myself, but I have to wait until my spring break (2 weeks and counting...whew!)

  7. Good for you that you are getting so much done around the house! I too love those "Mr. Clean" scrubbies...they are genius. Did you know they work really well at getting scuffs off shoes? - Totally in love!

  9. Be careful with the magic eraser...don't let you kids play with it. There are pictures my friends have e-mailed me of children with severe chemical burns on their face/skin from using the magic eraser on themselves. We've stopped using it as we don't want to take any chances!

  10. Congrats on all the progress you've made with organizing and spring cleaning - hope all goes well today and you get lots accomplished! Yes - the Mr. Clean "Magic" Eraser is a miracle! I don't know what I used to do without it! GingerSnap - you are SO right - they work magic on shoe scuffs, too! Have a great weekend - Happy Birthday to your little guy!

  12. Those magic erasers are amazing, and so are you to do so much with all you have going on at all times! I only have one child, also just two, and she leaves me with just enough time to get dressed each day, and enough time to clean that things aren't moldy!
