Inspiration: Dare To Believe

DARE TO BELIEVE
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Everybody Knows…

You can't be all things to all people.

You can't do all things at once.

You can't do all things equally well.

You can't do all things better than everyone else.

Your humanity is showing just like everyone else's.

So…

You have to find out who you are,
and be that.

You have to decide what comes first,
and do that.

You have to discover your strengths,
and use them.

You have to learn not to compete with others,
Because no one else is in the contest of "being you."

Then…

You will have learned to accept your own uniqueness.

You will have learned to set priorities and make decisions.

You will have learned to live with your limitations.

You will have learned to give yourself the respect that is due,
And you'll be a being that's vitally alive.

Dare To Believe…

That you are a wonderful, unique person.

That you are a once-in-all-history event.

That it's more than a right,
it's your duty,
to be who you are.

That life is not a problem to solve,
but a gift to cherish.

And you'll be able to stay one up on what used to get you down.

My Spring Cleaning not only benefited my husband, sons, and our home, but was also a time of refocus for me. I have felt renewed in my Body, Mind, and Spirit...I am determined more than ever to find the perfect balance in my life. I recently took a 5 day break from blogging, and limited my overall computer time, as well. I watched movies with my husband, took nature walks with my boys, created art projects with them, caught up on my reading, and spent time *just being*...almost like a *staycation*. I simply needed the break to focus on all the blessings in my life and be extra thankful for them. I am looking forward to catching up with everyone again, and I hope you all have a Wonderful and Extremely Blessed Week! :)

  12. AppGal: I know that *overwhelmed* feeling...that is what I was going through prior to my Spring Cleaning. The whole mission started out as a focus on the *physical* aspect of my home, but ended up being a renewing of body, mind, and spirit, as well. I started eating more healthy and cut out all candy and desserts, began exercising again, put my boys and myself back on our true schedule (so easy to get off track on that one), and made sure to have devotions and count my blessings everyday...it has all made such a difference in the way I feel. :) I am really glad you enjoyed today's inpiration...it really *hit home* for me, as well. I will be praying for you...have a wonderful day! :)

  13. Btw...all the little things I started doing in my *refocus* were all things I have done for many years and know I need to do on a daily basis, but had started *slacking off* on. It's amazing how much of a difference making sure to implement them in my everyday life again has made. :)

  15. Welcome back, Doesn't eating healthy and spending less time at the computer make a big difference? I have done the same thing and it has done wonders for me. My Spring cleaning help me too, it helped me realize how physically strong I have become after spending the last 4 years years recuperating from multiple injuries. Thanks for the inspiration!

  22. thank you again, FFM! I appreciate your kind words. Hopefully I can get this week off to a good start (although, as i was doing errands on my way home from school, i locked my keys in the car-arg!) sometimes you just have to laugh at the petty misfortunes that come your way :)

now, on an unrelated note: i got the gateau skirt in champagne today. i love love love it! But am having some issues coming up with colors and tops to wear with it. i scanned my closet for a couple of minutes and came up with nada. of course, i immediately thought of you! do you have any ideas?
