I'm working at home today...my tee is one of my favorites...it's from ON but I can't find a pic. I finally got the Serengeti flats a couple months ago but haven't worn them yet. I'm still undecided since they seem to pinch the toebed on my right foot a bit. I thought I'd try them a little while in the house today to see if they'll work out. Any thoughts from someone who owns them? TIA! Have a wonderful day everyone! :)

  1. I have the same flats in black patent, and they are the most uncomfortable shoes ever! Maybe they will fit your feet a bit better than mine. For some reason, they both pinch my toes but are also too big on me. Once I almost fell down the stairs because they flew off my foot!

    Best of luck!

  2. Good Morning Anon@11:06! Thank you for the information on the flats. My pair also feel a bit large on my feet, but still pinch at the toe. I would love for them to work because they are so cute, but I'm just not sure...

  3. the serengeti flats are so cute! I hope they work out! If not, I have the Paolo Amie flat from Nordstrom - also a leopard patent but with a black cap toe - pretty comfy if you end up looking for something similar.

    Have a great day :)

  5. Hi FFM! My next planned purchase will be the Black Maxi Dress--I was able to get a black with white stars scarf off E-Bay to go with the dress like the ensemble you put together on your blog.
IRL pics of the scarf on my blog!

  6. I got the leopard patent KOBRAA flats by Steve Madden and they are super cute and VERY comfortable! I walked all over San Francisco in them while on vacation with no problems. I have the KOBRAA in 3 colors...seriously comfortable for my shape of foot.

  7. Hi, slightly OT but it has been a while that I wanted to ask you if the color of your rectangular-link bracelet is as it appears on the website pic (= Polywore sets). I've purchased it recently (found it in store on a tip of a JCA who had just returned it!) but it's VERY GOLDEN if you know what I mean and I'm wondering if they had two colors.

  8. Thank you for the suggestions sparrowsandsparkles and Katrina! :)

Hi luvallthingsjcrew! The maxi dress with your new scarf sounds divine! Congratulations on winning the scarf! :)

Hi Ema! I know what you mean and my bracelet is also VERY golden, as well. It actually matches a lot of my other J.Crew pieces, though...I do like it, but have noticed that the smaller *links* that hold the larger links together are fading into more of a silver color. I've considered returning it, but haven't because I do really like the bracelet, and it is starting to look more *mixed metal* now. I hope this help. I know the gold is more of a *fashion* gold color that many of the designers and retailers had/have been using.

  10. Hi, I really enjoy your blog and its on my top 5 favorite. I miss your irl pictures lately. Your outfits are alway put together so well.

  11. Thank you for letting me know. It's just that I bought it over the phone without ever seeing it IRL and when I picked it up it wasn't what I expected it to be. I'm not sure yet if I really like it (my husband says that it's tacky and I half agree with him but on the other side I haven't anything like this and I think that it would complement many outfits).

  13. Cute outfit, as always, FFM! Sorry the flats aren't working out. What a bummer.

I am definitely going to check out sparrowsandsparkle's and katrina's suggestions!

  14. What a darling outfit for a Friday. :) Thank you for all your advice about Florida dressing...it served me well.

Aren't J. Crew shoes the worst? I still love them, don't get me wrong, but they are irritating in that they are too wide in some parts and too narrow everywhere else. Good luck with the flats. They are so pretty, I would hate for them never to come out and play!

  15. Hey there FFM! I bought these shoes a while back and returned them. I have a wider foot and they just looked really ugly on my foot. I am still looking for something similar in a flat but for now I just wear my serengeti sling back pumps. Take care!

  16. There is nothing worse then uncomfortable flats (heels - well I can deal with them because they tend to be ... va va voom-y, but flats are MEANT to be comfy!) I would not keep them if they are pinching your toes so bad...no matter how cute!

  17. Hi FFM!
I find that these style flats and the city flats, imo, have very little room for all 5 toes and at the same time are really loose around the heel. So, at any time the shoe could fall off.. Anyway good luck on making a decision!

  18. The polyvore pic is great for everyone to shop from. What would be even better is "from Polyvore to Real Life" picture. Would enjoy that alot!

  19. Sorry to hear about the tight shoe FFM. I know that is a bummer when you really like a shoe. Did you try wearing a thick athletic sock on the right foot to stretch the toe area a bit?
I have long slender feet but no matter what I have to insert Dr Scholl pads in all of my JCrew shoes for comfort.

  20. I don't have these and refrained from getting them due to the toe pinch comments from others. I was in DSW yesterday and was surprised to see an almost identical looking pair by Kenneth Cole for $34.95. Squared toe box and man made upper instead of leather, but the print looked the same as the serengeti and they were comfortable. Just a thought in case you decide to return the current pair in search of a comfortable lookalike.

  21. Hi FFM,

Thanks for the feedback on the shoes. I have been eyeing them when they pop up in the sale section, but I actually thought that they might be a problem. I just picked up pair of the marjorie flats in the metallic blush, and found that those also pinch my toes...and I really needed some metallic flats. Do you have any suggestions for metallic silver, gold, or blush flats that you find are comfortable yet cute? Thanks ;)
