Updates on The Beach Trip and The Drunk Biker

Hello everyone! I hope you have all been having a beautiful and blessed week! We arrived home from our *beach getaway* late Monday evening and this is the first chance I've had to spend any significant amount of time online, so I thought I would post a little bit of an update. :)

The Beach Trip:
Our stay at the beach condo was absolutely FABULOUS...the weather was gorgeous and the view was amazing! The boys had a fantastic time jumping in the waves and building sand castles...needless to say, they didn't want to leave. ;)

I was able to manage a little bit of time to myself each morning for a walk on the beach which I thoroughly enjoyed! After I got back from my walks, DH and I took the boys down to the beach to play in the waves for awhile. Then it was lunch, naps, and another trip to the water followed by showers, dinner, and *hanging out*.

Saturday evening we watched 8 Brides with their Grooms and Wedding Parties have their wedding photos taken on the beach....yes, I did say 8. It was definitely a beautiful place to get married and the weather was gorgeous...I'm sure the photos are fantastic. :) I do hope the dresses survive after being dragged through the sand and surf...I've always wondered about that. Does anyone have any firsthand experience?

Mother's Day was relaxing and enjoyable...I am truly blessed and thankful to have my boys. :) We had another day of playing in the waves and sand, a fantastic dinner, and then a beautiful walk on the beach to watch the Sunset over the horizon...absolutely fabulous!

Monday was another day of the same...morning walk, beach, lunch, naps, and then we packed up and hit the road to come back home. We arrived home late Monday evening, and I have been catching up on laundry, errands, messages, etc. ever since, but that's ok...the 3 day getaway was well worth it. I hope we get to stay longer next time. :)

The Drunk Biker:
The Police Department did get the video of the biker from the store on Tuesday the 5th. I left several messages last week for the officer who is assigned to my case, but never heard back from him. I called again today but he was at the firing range and is supposed to be back on duty tomorrow, so I will call back again then. I did get the opportunity to speak to the manager of the Supermarket, and she said the biker hasn't been back since the incident, but if he does show up they are going to try to get a Trespass warrant on him so that he can't come back on the property. We'll see...I'll continue to update as I find out more information.

Thank you to all for the Happy Mother's Day wishes, as well as all of your kind words, thoughts, and your prayers! I appreciate all of you! :)

  1. I am happy to hear that you had such a lovely Mother's Day. And eight weddings- that must have been beautiful to watch!!! I love people-watching, especially during special occasions (all those pretty dresses!) :)

As for the drunk jerk- I am happy to hear that the video tape caught him in the act. I think he should be ashamed of himself & held responsible for his actions.

    Take care of yourself!!! :)

  2. Thanks Alexis! We only got to see one of the weddings, but were fortunate enough to see all of them have their Wedding photos taken...it really was beautiful to watch.

I also hope the PD follows through...it would be nice to see some justice for all of it.

  7. i am glad that you had a wonderful time. My co-worker is getting married on the beach next week in north carolina. I think it's so romantic. I am praying that you reach some type of resolution with that drunk biker that results in some type of criminal charge against him. I am still horrified at what he did to you and your boys. I know that wasn't the first or will it be the last time that he has terrorizes an innocent person...he needs to be stopped before he possibly hurts someone.

  12. I'm so glad that you were able to get away with your family and also take some time for yourself and relax. I love the beach so much, it's so calming.

On another note, I just read the story about the crazy drunk biker and I am appalled that someone could behave like that! I'm just so glad that you and your boys are okay. I pray for this person b/c they must be an awful dark place to be able to do something like this to another.I am also praying that a resolution is reached and that your family remains safe.
