6.18.09 *Morning* by FFM featuring J Crew

Early morning Occupational Therapy for my 3 year-old. It is always very chilly in the OT room, so a jacket or cardigan is a necessity. My pants are actually solid white and are from the Gap last year. :)

The pants are 97% Cotton/3%Spandex but from the pics it appears as if they wrinkle as badly as linen does...so frustrating. This is the first time I've worn them since getting them off of Ebay last year for a couple of dollars. They are really comfy, so at least that's a plus to take away from the negative of the wrinkle factor.
My afternoon working from home. I came home and switched into shorts, sandals, and took off my jacket. It is very rare that I actually wear shorts...I'm just not a fan of them on me, but since I'm at home for the rest of the day, I'm actually going to wear them. :) Have a wonderful day!

I like your pairing of it with the military jacket, looks so great! I would not have thought of that myself but its perfect to dress it down!

  5. Stacie: Thank you! I think you look awesome in your Medallion top, too! :) The military jacket looks even better with it IRL since you can see how it picks up the green in the top.

Holly: Thank you, thank you, thank you! I really appreciate it! :)

  7. Thank you Jenny! I actually got my jacket in the Gap boys section instead of J.Crew. It fits me a lot better than the J.Crew version did and looks pretty much the same, IMO. ;)

  8. FFM, the medallion top looks great on you! Love the outfit! I wanted to purchase the top for myself, because I love the print, but the cutouts were way into my chest area, so back it went.... Have a great day!

  11. YAY! When I saw your polyvore, I thought, Oh man, I wish FFM had an IRL pic for this one...I've really wanted to see this top on someone. And voila! There you were lookin' all amazing, like usual. Goodness...I really wish I had picked up this top when it popped up online again. This is too cute. I'm always afraid that prints would look too busy on top or that they'd look dated fast, but I think this one is an exception.

  16. Your jacket is really from the Gap boys section? It looks fantastic!

You know that "ask Rachel Bilson" section in Instyle? She had something in there that a Boys large is about the same size as a womens small(or was it xs?), is that about right?

  17. The shirt looks so much cutier on you then it does online.

  18. Hey, I have a quick question on this top. It's on sale right now and I was thinking of purchasing it, but before I do, I wanted to ask if this top runs large or true-to-size? I have read that other bloggers think it runs a bit large... thanks, FFM.

  19. Jenny: I would say it does run TTS/slightly large. My *normal* J.Crew size for tops with sleeves is now a 2, but I purchased the Medallion from another JCA in the size 0. It fits well, but I think the shoulders would have been a tad wider if I had gotten the 2, but I'm not sure how much more room would have been in the torso. I'm happy with the size 0, which is one size down from my norm. I think if you have broad shoulders go with your normal size and size down if the shoulders aren't an issue for you. HTH! Btw...the shoulders in the 0 aren't uncomfortable on me at all, so I'm really happy with getting this size. :)

  20. Marietta: Thank you so much! Btw...I can completely understand the cut outs issues. I don't have that much of a problem with them since I'm not well-endowed, but I do have to wear a strapless bra with mine so that it doesn't show.

Alexis: Thank you for the compliment and for stopping by! :)

Thank you so much Domestic Diva! I really appreciate it!

Zoe Moet, luvallthingsjcrew, and Belinda K: Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! :)

Stephanie: YAY!!! I'm so glad you were able to get the swimsuit! I have the black set, too and think it is really fabulous, as well! :)

  22. Hi Stacie! Yes, my jacket is from the boys' section at GAP. It's a size Medium (or 8) in the sizing at their store, and I am an XS/S at J.Crew. The sleeves are shorter than if it was a woman's jacket, but I prefer to wear them pushed or rolled up anyways, so in this case it really doesn't matter that they don't hit at my wrist.

VERY cute on you!

  31. Tomorrow I will be posting IRL pics of the Cotton Medallion Dress, which is the same print as the Medallion top. I just received it today...it's been waitlisted since May, and to me, it was definitely worth the wait. I really, really like it a lot. :) Have a great evening!
