6.28.09: Wearing Today & IRL Pics

6.28.09
6.28.09 by FFM featuring J Crew

I wore this to church this morning...as you must realize by now I really love my pearl and chain necklace from J.Crew, since I wear it several times a week. It's extremely versatile and very pretty IRL. :)

Pants: Ann Taylor Loft Relaxed Linen Tie-Waist Pants
Top: J.Crew Cashmere Sequin Shell in Heather Wheat *seems to be coming across as pink in the set and pics*
Earrings: J.Crew inspired Fireball Earrings from Nordstrom Rack
Necklaces: J.Crew
Bracelets: J.Crew
Clutch: J.Crew
Shoes: Banana Republic

I snapped a couple of RL pics after we got home this morning, thus the reason for so many wrinkles in the pants. ;)
You can't tell from the pics, but the sequins on the Cashmere shell are a mix of gold and silver, so either would work as far as accessories go. The shell also looks pretty tucked into white pants with a metallic silver skinny belt, silver sandals and accessories...another way I plan to wear it, but since we had BBQ for dinner last night and I am feeling a bit *puffy*, I opted to wear it untucked. ;) (Need to drink some ACV today)
A pic with the clutch:
A close up pic to show the jewelry and details on the sequin shell:
I've been asked to provide some more detail regarding my pool and arm workouts, so I will be posting that later on today. :) Have a beautiful Sunday!

  1. Hi FFM. You keep showing the BR sandals in your sets and they look so cute! I currently have them in my shopping bag- but a few ?s. The BR website mentions that you should order 1/2 size up. Did you find that to be true? And how about comfort? My concern with the chunky wedge is how heavy they are after a days wear. Thanks for your insights!

  2. Hi Woobie! I have both the Black and Bone in the BR sandals and purchased my regular size. I don't think they run small, personally. They are not heavy at all, even with the 4" platform. I've only worn them for a couple hours at a time so far, but have found them to be comfortable, especially for being so high. I'm hoping to also get them in Walnut if they are still available when the price gets lowered even more. HTH!

  4. Thank you mrs.anketell! I would highly recommend the necklace...I love mine. :) F21 also has a cheaper version if you don't want to spend as much. I wasn't ever able to find it at my local store, but did see it online at one point. The shell is actually putty, but is coming across as pink in the set and pics. I do love pink and khaki together, too though. :) Have a great day!

  6. Love it all...chic and slimming and most of all, PRETTY! I love the cashmere tank...I own it in pewter. I think I will have to try the necklaces with it...it is perfection.

Have a beautiful and wonderful Sunday!

  10. Hi Fab Florida Mom! I stumbled upon your blog and fell in love with your style. You are always so put together. I am lucky if I ever get out of my gym clothes! Ha!

I was wondering what the "ACV" drink is? Does it help with the puffiness? Thanks!

  11. Hi FFM! I have this top and like how you styled it!
I've worn it a couple times with jeans--I think--my memory or lack thereof scares me sometimes!
Anyhoo--what I like about this top is the mix of silver and bronze sequins means any choice in those colors for earrings...I do remember though that I wore this with my bronze Chico earrings and a gold belt.

  14. Hi Leslie and WELCOME! I hope you'll continue to visit. :)

ACV stands for Apple Cider Vinegar and it is basically a natural diuretic. I first learned about it when pregnant with my second son, and then used it during with my last 2 pregnancies and while breastfeeding to help with fluid retention. I still use it on days that I feel extra puffy due to taking in too much sodium. It seems that others use it for differing reasons, as well as on a daily basis. Gigi at Gigi's Gone Shopping has been using it daily with great success. It's definitely worth a try, IMO. HTH! Have a great day!

  15. LATJC: Thanks! What color do you have in the shell? Is it the same as mine? I'm sure you look absolutely beautiful in yours! I like the idea of wearing it with jeans, too. :)

    THANK YOU Pink Poppy!

  16. Perfection, as always.

That clutch came in final sale this weekend - I almost pounced!!! But I realized I'm more a gigantic-sac gal, at least for every day.

  17. Thanks PFP! As for the clutch...I agree, it IS fairly small and I am a *gigantic-sac* girl myself. It is just so cute, though, and I figured everyone was getting a little tired of seeing me carry my Gold Thompson. ;)
