  1. Hi FFM,

Thanks for the info. Love these boots, but am having a hard time styling them. Could you please provide some polyvores (or IRL) pictures for these boots for a 40 year old mom? TIA

  3. Thanks for the info! I'm also interested in seeing IRL pics or ideas on how to style them. Not sure if you would wear them like tall boots with pants tucked in or with skirts/dresses. Any ideas/pics would be great! :)

  4. Hi Anon @12:05, Stylestance, and AppGal! I will definitely be styling some sets with the boots. I have to say though that one of my favorite looks for them is very basic: a pair of blue jeans, a tee, and some great jewelry or perhaps a scarf. The jeans are worn over the boots for this look.

Stylestance: I actually did place an order for the black ones...I have to see them IRL and can always return them to my local Target if they don't work out. I absolutely love the brown pair so I'm sure I'll love the black pair, too. :)

  9. Just wanted to say that I have the real Frye "Harness" boots (the Targets are knock-offs) in a cognac color and have owned them for probably 6-7 years and they are a staple for me. They go w/tees, sweaters, tunics, you name it. I have worn them both under jeans (tyipcally) and over my jeans with a tunic. I am leary of cheap boots because I am pretty picky, but these Target knock-offs are AMAZING! I have quite the boot collection and I think I am adding these Target ones in black now that they are available again. Trust me...you can barely tell the difference between the Frye and the Target boots! Oh...I'll also say that they are super comfy...very low heel, but can still be worn w/longer jeans!

  10. FFM, thanks for this great news! I'd given up on these as they were looooong gone at my local Tarjays.

How's the sizing run, for those of you who have them?

  11. Thank you so much for the review Christy! :)

JCAUNCmom: I sized down 1/2 size in the Dark Tan pair, but have ordered my normal size and 1/2 size smaller in the black just in case they fit differently. Then I'll just return the pair that doesn't fit...I'd rather be safe than sorry on these because I have a feeling they'll sell out quickly again. HTH!

  12. I called 5 Target stores and finally found a brown pair in my size! I was told that they sold out like hot cakes. They are my normal size and are a little loose, so I may end up wearing a thicker sock with them, especially in colder weather. I compared them to the actual Frye boots at the department store yesterday (I was wearing mine). Just could not see any difference in my $49.99 ones and the $217 Frye ones. What a great knock-off! I wore them with a paisley print collared long sleeve shirt (yellow, turquoise, brown print) , a brown corduroy blazer, and boot cut jeans. Thank you for sharing another great find with us, FFM ! I may have to consider those black ones!!

If you do - could you tell me about it - what you like, don't like, size, heavy/not heavy, quality - etc. TIA!!

  18. Hi Magic! I'm so glad you were able to find a pair. Your outfit with the paisley shirt, blazer and boots sounds fabulous! :)

amy kelinda: Let me know if you find a pair...you can always go ahead and pre-order online now. ;)

Hi Elizabeth! I was just thinking about you a few days ago and wondering how you've been. Then I saw you post yesterday on the Inspiration thread and I am so thrilled to hear from you again! Sorry I didn't get to your question yesterday about the Campo. I do not have it, unfortunately but would LOVE to own one. It reminds me of a Coach bag I already have and love. I do think it is pretty big based on the measurements given on the website, though. Sorry I couldn't be of more help!

  19. Hi Sara! Yes, definitely wear your pants over the boots. That's the way I'm wearing them today and will most of the time. :)

  20. Hi FFM- I'm a fan of your blog. I just ordered the boots and the size 10.5 is already sold out. If people are wondering about sizing there are a lot of comments addressing size on Targets on line review of the tan color. FFM- Did you find they ran small?

Someone on this post asked about the Campo Bag which I have and LOVE. It really is getting better with age as the patina becomes richer and the leather softer. I store it in the cloth bag it comes with when not using it and rub out/soften the scratches occasionally. I've gotten a ton of compliments on it. I think that there are people who feel that it might be too big and heavy, but I am really tall(and am used to coach bags which can be heavy) and it feels great. It is now my favorite bag! Hope this helps.
Thanks for a great blog FFM!!!

  21. Hi Awakening my Wardrobe! I'm glad you were able to order the boots. :) I actually found the Dark Tan pair to run 1/2 size large. I am normally a size 10 but got the size 9.5 instead and they fit great. I ordered both 9.5 and 10 in the black though, just in case the sizing is different in that color for some reason. HTH!

Also, thank you so much for your review on the Campo bag and congratulations on getting it!

  24. Yes, I just ordered both colors and in two sizes each. I am a little concerned now that I read your experience FFM with sizing down. I went off the reviews on Target, and bought my usual size and 1/2 size larger. I'm usually an 8 in almost all stores, except JC and occasionally Target. I have to go up to 8.5 often in those stores. I've never been able to size down to a 7.5 at Target. Both of my Targets were out of stock in the boot, so I didn't have a good comparison. There was a 9.5, and that actually felt even snug around the width of my foot (I have wide feet and high arches). I think I will be okay with at least an 8, but do you think I should order 7.5's too or would that be crazy? I'm sure by the time I get the 8s, if they are still too big, all sizes will be sold out then to do a return. TIA for your help!

  25. Hi love2shop4bags! I'm glad you were able to order the boots and I have to say it's a tough call on the sizing. I don't think you would be crazy for ordering a 3rd pair, but if you normally size up at stores like Target and J.Crew, then your *true* size will probably work with these. I see that the reviews say they run small, but I just don't feel that is the case at all. JennyK said she tried them on and felt they ran 1/2 size large like I do, but Joyce said hers fit TTS. You could always wear a thicker sock if your normal size is a bit too big and you aren't able to get the smaller size (if you even need to). I just always figure that it's worth trying different sizes because I can always return the ones that don't fit. I hope this helps you! Let me know if you have any other questions! :)

  26. hi ffm! thank you SO much for sharing these with us! i've debated over the frye boots for so long and here is the perfect solution. have a wonderful weekend!

  27. Hi ladies! I was lucky enough to find these boots at one of my local Target stores yesterday so I just wanted to make a comment about the sizing.

I found them to run very tts!! I took my usual size 10. I sometimes have to purchase 11's at Target (and other stores/brands) but the 10 in these fit perfect!! I also purchased the Mossimo Kady Boots yesterday and I needed an 11 in those so these definitely seem to run tts or even a bit on the large side! I hope this helps some of you!?! Good luck~ they really are great boots!

Thanks again FFM for the heads-up on these boots! I LOVE 'em! :)
