Eddie Bauer

Yes, you read correctly...Eddie Bauer. Let's have a look now, shall we?

Wool Hacking Jacket. How adorable are you? In 5 different colors you make it so hard to choose my favorite.

Wool-Blend Blazer. {sigh} If only the Gray was still available in my size...

Cotton/Cashmere Boyfriend Cardigan in 7 pretty colors including this Mulberry:

3/4-Sleeve Shine Cardigan...love it in this Gold:

Eddie Bauer Original Appliqué Snowflake Tee...cute, cute, cute AND it has long sleeves. :)

Corduroy Trouser Skirt available in 5 colors including Aubergine:

Leather Cashmere Lined Gloves...leather and cashmere, what a yummy combination.

Buckle-Toe Flat in 6 colors including Red:

Tall Refined Leather Equestrian Boot. These are also available in Extended Calf sizes.

and the matching Sterling Silver Freshwater Pearl Drop Earrings...because sometimes simple and understated is the best way to go.

These pieces, as well as numerous others on the Eddie Bauer website could very well have their own You Look Very Familiar...Have I Seen You Some Place Before post...trust me...there are a LOT of them that look very similar to J.Crew pieces. However, today I wanted to get this post up to showcase some of the great deals being offered before the sizes get too limited. (Be sure to click on all the images of the clothes when you go to their page. They show the clothing in the different colors and on models, too.)

Eddie Bauer offers Regular, Petite, Tall, and Extended (Plus) sizes. They also allow returns to any of their Eddie Bauer stores, so if you are fortunate enough to have one near you, your *risk factor* for ordering is minimal. Also, if you sign up to receive emails they send you a 15% off coupon to be used online or in-store...gotta love those coupons! :)

So what do you think? Have you shopped at Eddie Bauer recently? Can you give any advice on sizing and fit? If you haven't shopped there are you going to consider it now? I personally haven't shopped at Eddie Bauer in years, but honestly...I am seriously considering shopping there again after seeing all the great items they have. :)

Happy New Year!

  1. HAPPY NEW YEAR! I'm always intrigued with Eddie Bauer - we have one in our small mall in my small town. I have the snowflake applique tee - very cute, great quality, and fits TTS (yes - and LONG sleeves!). I also found a beautiful black/white checked scarf in store this season too that I love and wear a lot. I noticed several things this season in EB that reminded me of another store we all know and love! The red flats are adorable - I may have to hop over to their website. And yes, EB always has great coupons - even as inserts in magazines such as Real Simple.

  4. Love the wool jackets and the applique tee. CUTE! There used to be an Eddie Bauer store at my closest shopping mall (right across the street from the Crew!) but it recently closed :( and stupid Apple Store opened in its place. I used to go in from time to time and find some goodies. The clothes are generally very well made. They make great "wrinkle and iron-free" shirts that are awesome staples for anyone's closet. You picked out some nice things here and what terrific prices! Happy New Year!

  5. OH FFM, now I have to go to Eddie Bauer when I hit the mall tomorrow. I'm interested in the trouser skirt so I"ll stop in my B&M tomorrow and hope they have one I can try on. I looked at Eddie Bauer's size charts and waist and hip are an inch smaller than the comparable J Crew size. I'm surprised because I always thought Eddie Bauer ran large. The sale price is great - I hope is works.

  6. EB has some good clothes, some are so similar to JC. I tried the Snowflake tee on, I found it to be on the small side, and the next size up was too big. I have trouble getting a good fit with EB. They are having a good sale right now 25% off just about everything in the store incl. Resort.

  7. I've shopped at EB for a few years and most of their clothing is great quality. As far as sizing in the past they did tend to run big but in the last year or so they are much more true to size. Hope that helps!

  8. Hi Ladies and Happy New Year! Thank you all for stopping by! :)

Elizabeth: Thank you so much for sharing the info about EB. We have 3 of the EB Outlets at the local Factory Malls here, so I'm going to check them out. I'm not sure if they will have *made for the factory* clothing or the *real deal*, but I think it's at least worth taking a look to know for sure.

Coley and Yogagirl: I was also pleasantly surprised about EB. :)

Anne: Thanks for sharing the information. Btw, I ordered the J.Crew Pearl Earrings yesterday. :)

crewcrazy: Have fun tomorrow and be sure to report back on what you find! I hope you find the trouser skirt, too. :)

casual-crew and Lin: Thank you for sharing your information, as well. I truly appreciate it! :)

  10. I have shopped at Eddie Bauer in the past because they have tall sizes. Haven't bought anything recently, but I have a very pretty purple cardigan that I got there a few years ago and still wear a lot.

  13. I bought that 3/4 sleeve metallic cardi in gray for my mom along with a sparkly tee for underneath. I have been finding quite a few things at EB over the past few motnhs - it all started with the Christine blouse! I was lucky enough to be invited to a focus group at their headquarters (they are a Seattle company) to see/give opinions on ideas for 2010 and I think we are going to see some cute things coming up from them!
