J.Crew New Arrivals: IRL Pics *Part Three*

All of the following pieces, except for the Blazer and the Chain Flower Tee, have actually been out for a little while, and are currently available online. (It's possible the Chain Flower Tee has been in stores for awhile, but is just now in the March catalog on pg.54.)

J.Crew Philo Eyelet Blouse, item #23483, $78, available in Pale Blossom and White (seen on me in size 0).

Applique' Flower Art Tee, item #25138, $78 (currently on promotion for $62.40), this is the XSmall on me shown under the Sunshine Peonies Cardigan...not sure why I didn't take a pic of it by itself. Probably because I was trying to hurry...

Rumpled Broadcloth Vintage Zebra-stripe Tunic, item# 23222, $69.50, size 0 on me:

Chambray Schoolboy Blazer, item #22547, $158 size 0-14 (also available in Petite 0-12, item #24990). On the hanger and on me in size 2. I didn't think this was very flattering on when buttoned up, and felt it added more volume to my midsection than is actually there. The color is great, the fabric is cotton, it's fully lined, and has long sleeves...just wish the fit was more tailored at the waist.

Chain Flower Tee, item #25602, $49.50, size XS-XL, color Bisque, XSmall on me:

Solid Lieutenant Jacket, item #23815, $98, available in Black and Warm Beechwood seen here on me in size 0. This one is comfortable and a nice weight for Spring. I love the length and it is just *roomy* enough, without looking overly huge. The Beechwood isn't a good color on me, unfortunately, but I would consider getting it in Black.

Are you considering any of these items? Have you seen them IRL? Do you already own any of them? Please feel free to comment. :)

Have a beautiful and blessed day!

xoxo,

  6. I just ordered the Solid Lieutenant Jacket in black a few days ago (here's hoping it's arrived by the time I make my way home later this week). I'm really looking forward to trying it on - thanks so much for the IRL pics!

  7. The Philo top, I was really curious about after seeing it in that great catalog that you posted! (Thanks for that, btw!)

Now that I see it from the front, I'm not sure if those sleeves would emphasize my arms (which is something I would NOT want to do). It is adorable though.

As much as I love J.Crew's tees, my drawers are bursting with tees from J.Crew past and present, and I can't even think of getting rid of some to make room for new ones! LOL! They're all so pretty though. :)

    Thanks again, FFM!

  8. I agree with mrsa... I wish they would make more printed cardis in cotton like they used to. Maybe summer roll-out? The crewlet has a plethora of them, I stocked up last weekend. Great prices too.

Thanks for the IRLs FFM - love them!

  9. Thank you *so* much for all of these IRL photos. Seeing them on real people not pinned to extremes is so helpful (although you would look fabulous in a paper sack!) I love the silk linen pullover from the previous post on you.

  10. The Philo top is so cute, but runs big and won't fit a petite. Mine went back:(

  11. you know, it looks as though there is a "cotton" version of the sunshine cardigan, under jackie cardigans there is a "rose gold" cotton one, doesn't it look the same??

  13. RatsOnParade, Drewablank, cdp, and Kristin, and Anon@1:22: Thank you all for stopping by! :)

Rats: Let me know what you think of the black lieutenant jacket when it arrives. :)

Drewablank: I'm with you on the tees...I usually get at least one with each new rollout, but so far none of them have been a *must have* for me this time.

cdp: Yes, hopefully we'll see more cotton in the Spring and Summer.

Kristin: You are too kind...THANK YOU! :)

    Anon@1:22: ITA about the Philo!

  14. Mrs. Anketell: The Sunshine Peony IS on the same page as the Jackies, but the description for it says Merino Wool and $98.

Jess: THANK YOU!!! :) I purchased the Zebra skirt and Sunshine Peonies Strapless Dress. Love them both. :)

  15. I love the Philo top, but I have questions since I already bought and returned the Alpansia blouse. Is it so shear that a tank is necessary underneath and it a a-line? Thanks!

  16. Great pics! I love the print cardi.

  17. Thanks for the IRL photos. They are so much more helpful than the catalog pictures! I was hoping that this most recent roll-out would inspire me a bit more, but fortunately for my bank account there isn't anything that falls into a 'must have' for me. I'll be waiting for the next round.

  18. Hi melissamolasses! I'm not 100% sure about the sheerness of the Philo, but I don't remember seeing my bra or skin through it, so I'm thinking it may be a tad *thicker* than some of the other white tops J.Crew offers. I had on a nude bra in the pic and it doesn't show through. Do you have the chance to see it in the store before purchasing?

  20. You'll love Outlander, but the first book starts slowly until the time travel part happens. And you want to talk about enablers? I can't even tell you how many pcs of my wardrobe were inspired by you!

  21. Thanks for the pics, FFM.

I'm loving the tee, but alas, like Drewablank, my drawers are full.

  22. Thanks for the info, FFM. My closet store is an hour away, but I think it's probably cute enough to order online.

  23. Hi FFM!
I bought the lieutenant jacket the other day! Finally something that doesn't run 2 sizes big! I agree it is fitted enought with just enough room without being huge or ridiculous. I loved the black (or it looked more dark grey IRL to me). It really made what I wore pop. Thanks for the reviews!

  25. Just discovered your blog and it's great! I'm 5'2" so it's really nice to see some of these pieces on someone closer to my size. Really appreciate the info, too, as I don't have jcrew nearby and end up sending way too many things back due to sizing issues. Thanks!!!
