J.Crew New Arrivals: IRL Pics

I snapped a few pics of several New Arrivals from J.Crew when I was trying them on yesterday. I apologize in advance for any poor quality, blurring, or other issues they may have. I was trying to be as quick as possible, as the photos will show. ;)

First up is the Palmera Printed Ruffle Cami which retails for $98. I have on the size 0.
Next are 3 of the new tees being offered. I believe they were $39.50-$42.50. I have on XSmalls.
This is the Rose Vines Perfect Shirt which retails for $78.
This is the Pastel Petal Perfect Shirt which also retails for $78. I didn't care for the color of this one IRL at all.
The first pic below is the Sunshine Peonies Strapless Dress, item #24947, and retails for $138. This is the same style as the Abstract Rose-print dress from 2008. It is 100% cotton, fully lined, has pockets, and is very pretty IRL. The print is different on every dress...some had more pink in front while others had barely any at all. I tried on 3 of them to find the one I liked best. Below it is an IRL pic of the Sunhine Peonies Pencil Skirt.

This next dress is very cute IRL...I think it would be great with capri sandals for a casual Spring and Summer look. It came in this blue and a pinky/papaya-like color, too. I think it was $78. The ruffles have a tendency to flip up in some spots, but if they were to be steamed or pressed I think they would lay ok. I am wearing the XSmall.

I also tried on the Blakely Dress in Black...it's the same style as the Zebra dress in the catalog. It runs TTS and is quite pretty, but is also quite difficult to get on and off. Be aware that it gapes very badly in the front, but a safety pin or fashion tape should easily fix that issue. :)

I have more pics that I'll post later. :)

xoxo,

  1. Love the Palmera ruffle top, but we were so busy at work yesterday I didn't get a chance to try it on. I think I want to go with the pale pink, but love the pattern one too!

It looks like your JCrew got some new tees that we didn't! I can't wait to try some more things on.

  2. Ooh, can't wait to see some of these IRL! What did you think of the sunshine peony pencil skirt? I have preordered it and am really excited to get it. Did it have honey glaze tones in it?

  3. Hi California Wife! Yes, my J.Crew had SO MANY tees...I couldn't believe it. I have *historically* bought one with every new rollout but actually didn't this time. I'd love to hear what you think of the new goodies once you have the chance to try them. :)

  4. Hi AppGal! The color and print of the skirt are very pretty IRL. I think the skirts are like the dress in that each one will be different. The print does have Honey Glaze in it and Bright Fuchsia, too. The material felt a bit *heavy* to me for the print, otherwise I think it's really lovely. :)

  6. Thanks so much for the great photos. I can't wait to get to my B&M this afternoon. There are items in the catalog that I'm already lusting after - but I have to say - just a few. A lot looks like more of the same....

  9. Thanks for posting these pics, FFM! And I can't wait for the others you're going to post of the new arrivals! :)

I so hyperventilate everytime I see that Sunshine Peonies print. But with my current penny-pinching and upcoming overseas trip, I can't possibly part with all that green. :( Boo. But I can always live vicariously through all the fabulousness that you all get from J.Crew's Spring rollout!

As for the ruffle dress: I didn't get it, but from what you all have said it sounds like I should have. It is definitely on my *future purchase* list. :)

  22. I love the print on the skirt. I'm also underwhelmed (as someone said in another thread) by the new arrivals. I think they just don't excite online and look better in person.

  23. FFM, thanks for the pics. You look wonderful in everything! The ruffle dress is especially flattering. I hope you decide to purchase this one.

My favorites are the dresses, both the sunshine peony print and the ruffled one. Wish they weren't strapless though.

I didn't care much for the Liberty prints this go round. And i'm replete on tees and camis. :)

  24. Hi FFM! Do you happen to have the item # for the ruffle dress? I don't see it online in the new arrivals. It looks fabulous on you!

  25. Mikaela, Gigi, Cleo, and Anon@8:12: THANK YOU!!! :)

Anon@8:12: I also noticed the ruffle dress didn't get put online with the new arrivals...very disappointing. Maybe it will be available online in the next rollout...fingers crossed. :)
In the meantime, the item # for it is 24528, it retails for $95, and is called the Ruffle *Luka* Dress is . HTH! :)
