Lands' End CANVAS: New Spring Arrivals

*Authentic inspiration. Modern interpretation*...Lands' End CANVAS has added New Spring Arrivals, so I thought it would be fun to window shop some of the new pieces together. :)

Bow Tie Shirt available in 3 colors.
  • Sailor Tee available in 5 colors...love the boat neck. :)
Stripe Sailor Tee available in 2 colors and very cute.
Eyelet Shift Dress available in Navy and White...how adorable is this dress???
Pattern Poplin Skirt available in 4 different pattern/color combinations. I love the Gull Gray Multi-stripe seen in this pic:
Wide Cotton Web Belt available in 2 colors.
  • Solid Cotton Linen Scarf available in 12 fabulous colors. This one might have been available at the time of my last CANVAS post, but I felt it was definitely worth mentioning today since we are headed toward Spring (and the price is fantastic, too). :)
  • The Cotton Linen Scarf also comes in 4 Printed color/pattern combinations.
Bamboo Straw Tote available in 4 colors.
Cotton Headband available in 5 colors, although it appears that the Chili Pepper Multi Floral in this pic is currently unavailable. I have several of the J.Crew version of this (called the no-hassle headscarf ) and love them. Perfect for the beach or pool, and they are a cute alternative to a hat on bad hair days, too. ;)

So, what do you think of the New Spring Arrivals? Have you ordered anything since we first started our CANVAS journey? Are you considering placing an order now? Please feel free to comment. :)

If you missed my previous posts on Lands' End CANVAS you see them here and here.

Have a beautiful and blessed day! :)

xoxo,

  4. Does anyone know how the sizes compare to JC? If I'm a medium in JC perfect fit t's, would I be a medium here?

  8. I think I'm going to need to go back there to eyeball the eyelet dress. Pretty!

I ordered the blue and pink versions of their gingham shirt recently and I am in love. I am a size 2/2P and the shirts fit like a dream - they are fitted enough to show you have a shape but not tight and the quality is superb. This is a less expensive and (I think) nicer fitting option to the checked cotton shirt from J. Crew a few seasons ago.

  9. Because of your wonderful post on Land's End Canvas, I ended up placing an order the next day! I ordered 10 items (poplin skirt, stripe tee, 2 cardi's...) and saved almost $100 with the discount & free shipping. Should be here tomorrow...hope it's good irl :)

  10. I have that Grey Gull striped poplin skirt coming and would be happy to let you all know how it is. I am very impressed with the Canvas offerings so far. LE may be getting most of my clothing $$ this spring and summer!

  11. Yeah! Order just arrived so here is my update.
White cardigan - ordered a small as I am normally btwn size 6-8 and although it fits I would prefer a bit looser fit. I like the quality so will return for a med.
Ragtop newspaper bag in orange is to big. It really is a bag not a purse. Might be nice as a beach bag but not what I was looking for.
Biggest score for me was the straight leg jeans. Fit perfectly! Will be ordering in other denim colors.

  12. fyi- just figured out I should have clicked more info. on product descriptions for Canvas products. If I had done so in the first place I would have not ordered newspaper bag.

  13. Hi Stacie! I love all the pieces you ordered and can't wait to hear your report. :)

Hi Amy Kelinda! I completely agree with you! :)

    Thank you yogagirl! :)

anon@11:50: I ordered one of the *Jackie*-like cardigans last fall in my J.Crew size and the fit feels about the same. I think they are running pretty similar. You can also have a live chat online with one of the reps or call CS to get individual garment measurements, as well. :)

amers72: Thank you for sharing about your purchases with us! I really appreciate you taking the time to stop by and comment about them! :)

  15. Just got a huge regular LE order and a smaller LE Canvas order yesterday. I still like regular LE better but all items were in the overstocks or bought on sale with the 20% off code.

  17. After your blog a week ago about LE Canvas, I placed an order for the gingham poplin shirt, stripe oxford, stripe boyfriend cardigans and a couple of tanks. Unfortunately, nearly everything is going to be returned. My problem is that I normally wear a 0P and the size 00 in the Canvas is a little off in proportion for me. The one item that did fit me perfectly is the stripe oxford. The website says it runs small, and I would agree. I was really hoping the stripe boyfriend cardis would work out for me, but the cut is just too boxy and loose in the arms. The color of the tanks I ordered were different IRL than they appeared on my computer; but I did like the fit. Overall, I was impressed with the quality for the price, and may try a couple other items in the future. I was impressed when I received a card in the mail yesterday from CS (HANDWRITTEN) welcoming me to Canvas and reminding me that their clothing is guaranteed. I have been SO unimpressed with J. Crew lately that I have been seeking out alternatives. I think LE Canvas is a pretty good one. Thanks for the heads-up.

  18. I think I clicked on every link in this post! I feel like the looks are true classics. Have you checked out Banana Republic's new stuff? I swear it's late 90s/early 2000s J.Crew.

  19. FFM: Good morning, I haven't moved yet, another 4 weeks to go and I cannot wait, the change will be good for me. Have a great weekend.

  20. Does anyone know how the poplin skirt sits? I like how full it looks in the patterned poplin shots, but not so much on the solid shots. I'm looking for a skirt that flares out a bit and sits full like a modern take on a 50's skirt. To those that have bought the skirt, is it full like a modern 50's circle skirt cut? Thanks!

  21. HI FFM, I do plan to place an order now that they've wisely offered the free shipping and 20% off incentive. I'm not sure what will be in my basket just yet, but I've been eyeing the white jeans and the knit shirt for a while. Thanks to everyone for their feedback-can't wait to see their reviews. Also, thank you for introducing me to the new collection. Land's End has never been my style...but I like what I see so far with Canvas.

  22. Review time!

Heritage Cardigan in Gray Heather - a classic. I couldn't believe I don't own a grey cardigan, and this is perfect. I am typically a S in JC's Jackie's, but sized down to an XS in this and am glad I did. It has long sleeves and flat buttons and is very soft and fits like a glove. If I was planning to wear long-sleeved tops under this I would've gotten a small, but I usually wear these with tanks. I've been looking for a plain (but not feather-weight) cardigan for a while and this fits the bill perfectly. I'll be going back for more. 96% cotton/3% nylon/1% Lycra Spandex.

Pattern Poplin Skirt in Gull Grey Stripe - cute as a button, but just not for me. I'm more of a pencil/A-line girl but thought I'd give this flouncy skirt a try. I'm typically a 2-4 in JC skirts, got a 4 in this and it fit exactly at the waist. I was hoping to wear it a little lower on the hips to gain some length, but it was not to be. Also, I'm wider in the hips than anywhere else and this just accentuated that. Close, but no cigar. This was 20" long, top to bottom.

I also got two great pieces from LE's Overstocks: a pair of bootcut jeans in a uniformly dark wash (no distressing) for $20 that fit perfectly, and a white cardigan with a pink jeweled seahorse intarsia knit that is adorable for spring ($22). With the free shipping you've got nothing to lose (especially if you've got a Sears/LE nearby to return) so I'd recommend giving both LE and/or Canvas a try. I haven't been so excited about receiving an order in a while, and was not disappointed by the quality of any of the pieces. I was also excited that I spent less than I would have had to in order to qualify for free shipping at JC. ;)

  23. Thanks for the review silver_lining! The grey Heritage cardigan is the same one that I purchased last Fall...it is fabulous, isn't it? I will definitely go back for more of them. Sorry the skirt didn't work out, but like you said, it didn't cost you anything to give it a try. Congratulations on everything that did work out, and thanks again for taking the time to come back and post your review! :)

  24. Silver lining: I know which $20 bootcut jeans you are talking about. I bought those too and the fit is spot on. They're really comfortable too! I'm hooked on Lands End! The quality is superb.

  25. Just received 2 LE Canvas items from last weeks code (shipping was super fast with USPS) and I LOVE both of them. I picked up the short sleeve ruffle front shirt in the china blue stripe and the 3/4 length sailor tee. I need to exchange the ss ruffle shirt, though. I'm normally a size 4/small in JCrew tops and I ordered a 2 based on the size chart. It's tight in the arms and through the middle for me. Love the 3/4 sailor stripe tee - the XS fits perfectly.

When I was at Sears returning some snow boots I bought for the kids, I noticed they were having an additional 50% off clearance prices, so I snagged a Heritage cardigan in navy in a Petite XS. Love the fit because it ends up being a little cropped and 3/4 sleeve on me. Adorable, and for $15 - a STEAL! I'm really digging LE right now because of the free shipping and easy returns. Plus, everything is machine washable (the Heritage cardi is not nearly as delicate as the Jackie!) and as a mother of 2, I need machine washable!
