Sunday Shopping: Target

Hello Everyone! I hope you are having a fantastic weekend! Today's *Sunday Shopping* is at Target...fun-fun-fun...let's get started. :)

Target has really been offering so many great pieces lately, and the prices are usually fairly reasonable. They have a 90 day return policy, which allows you plenty of time to decide if your purchase is a *keeper* or not. Online shopping is easy, most items qualify for free shipping on orders of $50+, and you can return most items to your local Target store. However, the one thing I wish they would change about their website is the item pictures. Seriously...if I were to go by the way the clothes and shoes look online I would never make a purchase. The majority of the items they offer are SO much better IRL than they look on the website. Thank goodness for the customer reviews! :)

Now, I was in my local Target yesterday, and while I didn't have time to try on anything (I rarely do), I was able to snap some pics of a handful of the *new arrival* pieces to share with you.

Merona Collection Kennedy Dress in Purple Floral:
Merona Collection Kennedy Dress in Green Stripe:
Merona Collection Mallory Sheath Dress:
Merona Collection Isabella Shift Dress:
This one actually isn't new, but I took a picture because it reminds me of the J.Crew Wool Madeline Dress from last year seen here:
Merona Collection Bridget Shift Dress:
Merona Collection Kristen Tweed Dress:
Merona Collection Meg Twill Skirt in Floral Print:
Merona Collection Meg Tweed Skirt. This is the same fabric/print as the Kristen Tweed Dress above.
Mossimo Supply Co. Odell Floral Ballet Flats in Multicolor.
(These flats could be a nice, less expensive alternative to the Floral Papaya Patterned Classic Ballet Flat at J.Crew.)

Mossimo Women's *Phyliss* Pewter Nailhead Sandals. These don't appear to be available online yet, so I can't give you the link. If you're interested in them I would check your local Target store.

(These could possibly be a less expensive alternative to the J.Crew Reese Studded Gladiator Sandals.)

Mossimo Women's *Pollyann* Black Woven Wedges...also not available online yet.
(Not exact, but if you are looking for something similar and less expensive than the J.Crew Reese Gladiator in Black, these could be a good option

If you're interested in a less expensive alternative for the Jack Rogers Navajo Thong Sandal,

Merona has the Enid Whipstitch Flat Sandal that comes in Gold, Brown, Hot Pink/White, and White/Gold. These have been available for awhile and the Gold has already sold out online, but you may be able to find them at your store. My store only had the Gold and Brown available.

What do you think about the clothing, jewelry, and accessories that Target offers? Do you see anything above that you're going to check out? Please feel free to comment. :)

Also, remember that Old Navy is having their *Fundamentals Sale* which includes a great deal on their jeans that I blogged about here the other day. :)

Have a beautiful day! :)

xoxo,

  5. Target clothes just don't seem to fit me at all. I can take a bunch into the dressing room and everything is so ill fitting. Have not bought any clothes there in years. Things look pretty and I admire but have given up trying on as of this fall....

  7. Hello Ladies! Thank you all so much for stopping by to share your thoughts on Target...I truly appreciate it! :)

mrs.anketell: Have you checked out the maternity section at Target? I wore a lot of Liz Lange Maternity from there when I was expecting. There are even some knit non-maternity dresses at Target now that would also work for the expectant mothers. :)

  8. Oh dear, those floral flats are calling to me! They are almost sold out online, only 5.5 left. I'm really debating driving to Target for these.

What does everyone contemplate wearing with the floral flats?

  9. Those online pics are atrocious! Thanks for the irl pics. I would never have ordered online based on the web photo. The customer reviews usually help. but they're not always there. Thanks for sharing :-)

  10. I own the Isabella dress. No one could believe it's from Target. I haven't seen the new green items in-store. Love the shoes too!

  11. I just got back from Target. Not many of the multi floral flats there, just a few sizes left. I need a 6.5, I settled for a 7 and I'll return it if I find a 6.5 at another Target. I would say these run 1/2 size big because they're quite wide. Very pretty! Thanks for posting, FFM, because I never would have looked twice at them based on the Target.com picture.

  12. Desert Flower, thanks for that review--how do you imagine styling them/wearing them?

  14. Anon, I think now that I've seen them in person I know better how I'll wear them. The prints differ on each pair. The ones I have are primarily yellow, pink and brown. Others had almost no yellow, and had a dark purpley-grey color. Interesting!

I will wear mine with all shades of cream, yellow and brown, and probably grey, too. They'll look great with chinos and khakis, jeans, casual skirts like my Belle skirts from a few years ago.

  15. Desert Flower: I'm so glad you were able to get a pair of the flats! If you can't find a 6.5, is there any chance putting an insert in them will help with the fit a little? I've done that with shoes that are a little too big and it usually works. :)

Gigi: It is really just unbelievable how horrible the online pics are. I think Target would probably do a lot more business online if they were to step up there game with the website.

Carie: The Isabella dress is so lovely, and looks much more expensive than it actually is...I can see why people don't believe you got it at Target. :)

Ashley: YAY...so glad you got a pair! You may even be able to wear them with your new shift dress from LE Canvas...how cute would that be?

  16. Anon @5:34: I think Desert Flower is spot on with the way she plans to wear the shoes. They will work with numerous colors and will be a great *focal* point of any outfit. :)
