*Morning Glory Art Tee available in 4 colors.

*Sequin-Stripe Henley Tank...a definite *must have* for me. Check it out on Tabitha and Summerilla.

Perfect-Fit Ruffle Henley...just the right amount of ruffle to give the basic henley a little somethin' extra.

Heathered Microrib Jaspé Henley . This is true 100% Jaspe and not a blend...very soft and a great price, too.

*Space-Dyed Henley Tank. Summerilla also tried this one on (see the previous link for a pic).

**See them both here on AppGal.

*Perfect-Fit Boatneck Tee available in 12 colors.

Vintage Cotton V-Neck Tee. This appears to be the same cut as the Tissue Boyfriend V-Neck Tee but in updated colors.

Vintage Bateau Top in Dark Pewter and Pale Camel. I LOVE this one and have styled numerous sets with both colors including this one:
2.4.10
2.4.10 by FFM
**You can see the top on me here.

So...are you going to take advantage of the 20% off promotion? Do you have any of the tees or knits on your wishlist? I'd love to hear your thoughts...

Have a beautiful and blessed day!

  1. I did a tee order last week so I missed out. I like to add the Vintage Slub Polo is not thin like the other slub cotton tees, and the Lux Zip Cardigan is a great lightweight piece but it runs a little large so if yo like to wear it fitted size down.

  2. I would like to add however that the Max and MOlly tee is super thin. I mean see through sheer and delicate. I got mine and promptly returned it. It felt like it could fall apart in my hands! Truly disappointed in this tee.

  3. Great post! Love the Max & Molly outfit. Did you tuck the shirt? Thanks! Carrie

  4. Did you tuck the Max & Molly shirt? I love mine, but also find it very sheer in the back and prefer to wear it with a jacket or sweater. Do you recommend a a sweater or jacket to go with it?
    Thanks!

  5. Hello Ladies! Thank you for stopping by!

casual-crew: Thanks for the information on the polo and cardigan! :)

Jill and Carrie: The tee is pretty thin, but I always wear a nude bra or nude camisole under it, so I don't really find the sheerness to be a problem.

Carrie: In this set the tee is tucked in so that the belt shows. You can wear a cardi or jacket over it, but I would recommend wearing a nude cami underneath it instead, so that the flowers don't get hidden. I picked one up at Target a few weeks ago on the sale rack for $4. They sell several of them there all the time such as this one. HTH! :)

  6. Love the striped henley sequin tank-----ordered this am, but now it's "waitlisted" and ships 5/14---i wonder if this means I may not get it?? Any ideas??

  7. Hi mrs. anketell! I think you'll be fine. It was waitlisted yesterday when I was contemplating buying it (glad I held off a day), and I think that's just because they are due to get another shipment in. :)

  8. I will be picking up a few tees, as well as some of the new items that showed up today. I love the Victoria tissue cami, I'll pick up a few colors, as well as a couple other tees, the canterbury belle skirt and the silk cargo dress. Summer, here I come!

  9. Yes, FFM, i just spoke with a person at jcrew, and she said the same thing. They are expected to receive a shipment next week, so I should be fine. Thanks!!! There a few more tees that I want to order this weekend, too, this is a great promo!!!!!! What are you getting??

  10. great post- could see myself in both outfits!

  11. Thanks for linking my post! :) I also love the Max and Molly tee. Yes, it is sheer, but it isn't too much to deal with. Like you, I wear a nude cami underneath and usually have a cardi over it.

I bit on this promo, too...I ended up getting yet *another* jersey dress...this time the v-neck lundi dress in orchid shadow. I also got the bateau top in the pewter, even though it is on backorder. I love my camel one, so I know it will get a lot of wear.

  12. Thanks for recommending the Max & Molly with a nude cami. Great idea!

  13. I love these % off and free shipping promos. It makes me so much more likely to place an order.

  14. There are a few new arrivals on the web site this morning too.

  15. I LOVE the Max and Molly tee but could not get past the sheerness. Bothered me too much. It is just too hot where I live to think about a camisole under a tee. I just don't find that comfortable. I do own several that I wear to work but when I want a tee I want to be comfy. I just wish JCrew had made it in a perfect fit weight:(

  16. Got this tee with the last promo and not sure whether I am keeping it or not due to sheerness. But one question for FFM--how do you wear it tucked in? I assume you blouse it or lose most of the bottom bike print. Just curious. Many thanks.

  17. Also, for the fashionable challenged:)how do you wear a cardi with this and not lose the side colorful flowers? thanks again

  18. FFM,

I'm sorry this is terribly OT but I know you are a fan of the old navy military inspired jacket. After trying the jcrew linen military jacket, which I loved in theory but found terribly boxy, I would like to pull the trigger on the ON. However, sizes are limited and reviews were mixed on sizing. Could you tell me size you got, whether it was regular or petite, and how it compares to say, a jcrew maggie or schoolboy. Thanks so much.

  19. Hi Ladies! Sorry for the delay in my responses, but I've been gone since early this morning for appointments and errands. I did have to make a trip out to the mall to make several returns and ordered the sequin henley while I was there, since they only had a size Small and it was too big on me. I have to say that once again the pieces actually are looking better IRL than they are online, and I even think there are some that are in-store only again, too. I had all 4 boys with me and very little time to look around, but did see some pieces I found appealing. However, my only purchase was on the red phone for the waitlisted henleys.

Julie: When I tuck tees in it is definitely a *loose* tuck, and usually just the very front part of the shirt so that the belt shows. Most times the back of the shirt isn't tucked in at all. With the Max and Molly tee, if you tuck in the front just a little, the print is still almost completely visible and you can see the belt, too. HTH! :)

  20. Hi Terri! Please don't worry about asking an OT question! I really do NOT mind at all! I purchased the ON jacket in a size SMALL regular, but have consistently been an XSmall at ON lately, even though I should be a size Small according to their size charts (same as with J.Crew). I found the shoulders and arms to be too tight on the XSmall, even though the waist fit nicely. I wear a 4 in the Maggie, and a 2 in the Schoolboy. I would say the ON jacket in size Small fits me about the same as both of them do. I hope I haven't confused you...please feel free to ask any questions if you need more clarification. :)

Thank you again everyone for stopping by! I agree that these types of promotions are great and make me much more likely to make a purchase. Have a wonderful afternoon! :)

  21. FFM,

Thanks for the detailed feedback on the military ON jacket. I think we are similar in size. I'm going to stalk for the small, as I'm afraid the xs will be tight in the arms. I'm not sure if ON every has popbacks like our beloved JC but I'll keep an eye on it. Thanks again for your wonderful blog. I'm a native Floridian as are my parents though I no longer reside there.

  22. I agree with Hexicon, I love the % off plus free shipping promotions. I bought the double V jersey dress and am tempted to place another order later since I don't have to worry about the shipping costs.

  23. You're welcome Terri. I find that ON does restock certain items sometimes, so just keep checking the website. This one seems to be a really good seller, so maybe they'll bring more back. Another option is to visit your local store ON or call ON customer service and ask them to do a store locate for the jacket. I know this can be done, because they've searched for a jacket for me before. Then if they find one, you call the store and have them do a charge/send. It might be worth a try. :)

  24. Tweetle Beetle: I agree with both you and Hexicon on these promos with free shipping. It's great to be able to place an order for one item at a time. :)

  25. Terri: What part of Florida did you live in?

    ReplyDelete
  26. I ordered the sequin stripe tank - love it and glad I didn't buy it this past weekend. I am debating buying either the morning glory tee in salt or the overdyed waterfloral tee in either color (love them both).

    ReplyDelete
  27. Hi math teacher! What color did you get in the Sequin henley?

The overdyed floral tee looks pretty. Have you seen it IRL?

    ReplyDelete
  28. I ordered the quarry - my coloring doesn't work well with nude shades. I haven't seen the other tee IRL which worries me a little. The last tee promo, I ordered 4 tees and returned all of them! :) I have tried on the morning glory tee and like it. Maybe I should order both the overdyed and morning glory just to be safe? :)

  29. I did take advantage of this promo! I ordered the shirred racerback gown in dark pewter. I get a lot of use out of maxi dresses during our looong summers. I'm hoping it won't be too terribly long but I am expecting to have to hem it a bit.

    ReplyDelete
  30. math teacher: I ended up ordering both colors, but may only keep the quarry if the beige isn't good on me IRL. I like the look of the overdyed tee, but think it's more than likely that the pink and yellow flowers in the tees are almost neon. Not necessarily a bad thing, but I would be prepared to expect it.

Stacie: I tried the racerback dress a couple weeks ago, and you are right...it is long. I would need to wear it with heels or get it hemmed. I had considered keeping it, but the gathering in the back had a funny bulge to it. It was probably just the dress I got, but I didn't reorder to know for sure (because I have a lot of other maxi dresses to wear for now).

  31. FFM,

Thanks for the idea of calling the store; I often forget that option. I grew up in West Palm Beach, so hail from South Florida.

    Terri

  32. FFM, do you remember if it was actually hemmed at the bottom? In the catalog pic it almost looks like a "raw edge" kind of thing and I can't tell from the online pics.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Stacie: I'm pretty positive it's a raw-edge so you could probably just cut it to the length you need yourself. The jersey promenade gown was made the same way.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Thanks FFM! I'm actually kind of glad about that, usually it bugs me but it will be pretty easy to "hem" it myself than, haha. Assuming it doesn't have the back bulging issues. . .

    ReplyDelete
  35. Fabulous Florida Mommy, you're right that those pops are probably neon and I think I'm okay with that. Of course, I may change my mind after seeing it IRL. I bought a neon coral tee this past weekend and don't mind the color. It's not online yet. I love the tee, but the beading around the neckline is too heavy for the material and I have to keep adjusting so it's going back. One of these will be the replacement. And, these are cheaper! :D

  36. Hi FFM and ladies:
I have a J Crew cotton knit shell that I got on FS a while ago, and its too big across the chest/waist. Has anyone ever had the side seams of a T shirt taken in at the tailors? Since knits are stretchy, I know I would mangle it with my own sewing machine. Any tips, like cut off the extra fabric and serge the edges? Thanks.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Hi carol! I have taken in cotton blouses at the side seams but never a knit. If you are able to, I would ask the tailor how it's done, then decide if you can do it yourself or if they need to take it in.

Maybe one of the other ladies has some experience with altering knits that they will share though. :)

    Have a great day!

  38. Hey Ladies! My Sequin Henleys are in open status, which means I should get them next week. Did anyone else check the status of their waitlisted order? I'm sure most of them are probably getting ready to ship. It also appears that the waitlisted Sweeping Ruffles Shirt is back in stock and ready to ship, too. Did anyone order that one, too?
