Tracy Gardner on MORE.com

Hello Everyone! I hope you are having a wonderful Wednesday! There is an article I came across about Tracy Gardner over at MORE.com, which was written by Susan Swimmer and initially published in January of this year. Speaking about Tracy she says, "This retailing expert has helped steer some of the most high profile brands of our time. Now the president of J. Crew, Gardner embodies the company's blend of urban and feminine chic."

Here are a couple outfits that are styled as examples in the article...remember these pieces?
If you want to read the entire article please click on the link below.

*Woman of Style: Tracy Gardner

**Pamela blogged about this article here on her wonderful Ginger Girl blog back in January. Alexis also had a post about it over on J.Crew Aficionada, as well. Click here to read it.

Pamela noted in her post that the article in the February magazine itself said (speaking about Tracy Gardner) , "The highlights of her personal aesthetic: the perfect jacket, layers of jewelry, impeccable tailoring and feminine details.  Gardner insists good styling is something you develop over time, when a look becomes 'more about what you won't do,' and she herself has evolved in that direction."

What do you think about Tracy Gardner's style and advice? Do you like any of the looks styled for the article on MORE.com? I'd love to hear your thoughts...

***Coming up later by request...sets that I styled for the Merona® Seahorse Slub Jersey Tee from Target (I also blogged about it and other Merona® tees here last Friday). :)

xoxo,

  2. I like Tracy Gardner and her style more than Jenna Lyons, it was interesting to read about her ideas.

I purchased the Seahorse tee from Old Navy this week, the price was right and the quality was good for the price. It is amazing how my ON tees hold up over time.

  3. I agree with Casual Crew, I like Tracy's style more than Jenna's. Perhaps because it's closer to my personal style. Interesting read, thanks for posting it, FFM.

I have some of those pieces pictured and wear them frequently.

  4. I actually like both ladies' style. Jenna's seems more off the cuff and focuses on the integration of uber high-end pieces, while Tracy's is more accessible. :) Thanks for the links!

  6. Thanks for stopping by ladies! I really like Tracy Gardner's style, not to mention that she is always well-spoken in her interviews. It's nice to listen to someone in an executive position who doesn't sound like she's still in high school, IMO. :)
