  1. I love You Look Very Familiar day! Some of these are really similar. Almost duplicates. I will be checking out the sunwashed dots dress in the store this weekend hopefully and I'll report back.

  2. Thank you so much for this weekly post. I enjoy all your posts and especially like the Tuesday one. As a busy mom I appreciate getting tips on other products that won't kill my wallet. I don't mind splurging on J Crew jackets and sometimes sweaters, but everything else is negotiable. Mommy saves some dough for the J Crew jackets by looking at these other options, which sometimes ironically are cut in a more appealing design than the original.

This is OT, but could you please provide a detailed review of your Kork Ease sandals? I've been debating these for over a month. I can't find them in stock locally at our department stores and don't want to waste return shipping from the discount websites if they turn out to be uncomfortable. I like the look of the two J Crew wedges (Cleo/Caden, both have a net 2.5" heel), but not the prices. I'm wondering if the Ava (net 1.5" heel after taking platform into consideration) or Bette (net 3" heel) would work best. I like the monochrome look of the suede covered versions, but don't know if they're still as lightweight as the cork versions. Do they get more comfortable with use? Do your feet slide on the manmade footbed? The Bette would be 1/2" net higher than J Crew's sandals. Hopefully that 1/2 difference would still allow them to be worn most of the day? Thanks in advance for any information you can provide.

  4. Hi anon@9:12 am! Thank you for stopping by and for the kind and encouraging words. I'm glad to hear you're enjoying my blog and this post, as well. :)

Now for the Kork-Ease: I absolutely LOVE mine! They are very comfortable, and I've worn mine pretty much all day running errands (which included a trip to the mall), numerous other stops, and then grocery shopping. When I got home I didn't even feel like I HAD to take them off, either. That was a day wearing the Bette wedge. They are the closest in height to the Cleo and my favorites. I recently got a pair of the Ava in Silver Metallic off of 6pm.com for $17. I've worn them for a little while around the house and must say that while they are still comfortable, I prefer the Bettes. The Ava seems more casual to me and not quite as comfortable as the Bette. I have the suede heels, so I can't comment on how they compare weight wise to the cork, but can say that I don't find them heavy by any means. I didn't have a break-in period with them, either. I found them comfortable the first time I wore them and my foot does not slide forward on the footbed, either. Zappos has them in stock (not on sale) and the shipping both ways is free so you could at least try them risk free. HTH! Let me know if you have any other questions! :)
