*Fabulous Find Friday*

Hello my Dear Readers! I hope you're having a great day and looking forward to a fun-filled weekend. :) Today is of course Friday, and that means it's time for *Fabulous Find Friday*, where I showcase products that a) I have tried and highly recommend, or b) I have come across amazing deals on and want to share with you.

Today's *Fabulous Find* is actually a food product. It's the Blue Diamond Whole Natural Almond 100 Calorie Packs

I personally love almonds, and these 100 calorie packs make them the ideal take-a-long snack for busy days when I'm on the go. I throw one or two in my handbag so that when I get hungry I have something healthy to eat, instead of grabbing crackers or animal cookies (a *staple* snack at our house). Now, I know that almonds have a fair amount of fat in them, but research has shown that 90 percent of the fats in almonds are unsaturated, and the nuts are high in protein, fiber, calcium, magnesium, potassium, vitamin E, and other antioxidants. Almonds help prevent osteoporosis and they regulate blood pressure. Studies have also shown that eating a nutritious diet that includes almonds lowers LDL cholesterol, and provides super strength protection against diabetes, cardiovascular disease, cancer and even weight gain and obesity. All of that and they are delicious, too! :)

Have a beautiful and blessed day!

xoxo,

  2. ThePhDWearsPrada: Happy Friday! Thanks for stopping by. :) I have not tried the cocoa dusted ones, but will be looking for them on my next trip to the market. I love anything chocolatey, so I'm sure these will be no exception. Thanks for the recommendation. Have a great day! :)

  3. I love these as a snack. However I buy the cans at Walgreens when they are on sale buy one get one free and I put some in the snack baggies. I believe would be cheaper this way....just a hint:)

  4. Hi Genny! Thanks for stopping by! :) I also buy the cans and those are what we eat while at home, but I buy the 100 calorie packs specifically just for taking on our days out. That way they last for longer than they would if we ate them on a daily basis. Plus, lots of times Target has them on special, so I stock up when they do. I agree that bagging your own could save money and I've done that, too, but I still prefer the convenience of the packs. :)

  6. Great suggestion, FFM! I am a teacher, and it's time to start thinking about gearing up for school. These would be great to keep in my room for quick energy boosts.

I was wondering what you thought of Anthropologie's Catmint dress. I remember you posting that you ordered it when it went on sale. Yea or nay?
    Thanks!

  7. I always have a bag of raw almonds in my drawer at work. It's the great in between meals snack!

Jane: The 100 calorie packs would be great for school. I usually take along an apple, so the combination of the two is not only filling, but also very healthy...definitely a great way to snack. :)

The Anthro Catmint dress is still hanging unworn in my closet waiting for me shorten the straps. I do love the color and print, but it hasn't yet made it into rotation because of the strap issue. I know some reviews on the dress were not kind due to the length giving it a *dowdy* or matronly feel, but I found the answer to that problem. Thinking ahead about the length issue, I ordered both the size 2 and 4Petite. Well, on me the petite size made all the difference in how it fits. The regular length did indeed look a bit too full and dowdy on me, but the petite size is shorter (above my knee), not quite as full, and gives a more youthful look to the dress, IMO. The only issue I have is that the straps are too long, but that seems to be the case on most Anthro dresses I have tried. It's any easy enough fix, but one I haven't yet taken the time to do. I'm actually going to put that on my *to do* list for this week and hopefully wear the dress to church next Sunday morning. HTH! :)

    Have a wonderful afternoon ladies!

  9. Rose: I completely agree with you! They really are satisfying and a great way to avoid giving into the temptation of unhealthier options.

  10. Thanks for your thoughts on the Catmint, FFM!
I made a Polyvore for the dress, and one of the comments I added was that I need to shorten the straps! I tried on the regular 2.

I think this dress doesn't work for everyone, but is a winner for the few who can make it work.
    I appreciate your review!
