Scarf Tying

Wearing a scarf is such a simple, effortless way to add a bit of interest and instantly elevate the look of an outfit. It is an extremely versatile accessory that can be worn in many different ways. This is a Scarf Tying Guide that I first posted last February, and then again in September, but thought it would be beneficial to post again since we are headed into fall. Talbots website also has a video with instructions on several ways to tie a scarf:*How To Tie A Scarf*.

There are so many beautiful scarves available right now at all different price ranges...here are a handful to consider:

Do you regularly wear scarves? Do you have a scarf collection? If you haven't worn a scarf in the past, do you plan to try one this year? Please do share. :)

  1. Thank you so much, FFM! I am a scarf newbie. I bought 3 in the last few months, mostly because I loved the prints. Unfortunately, I had no idea what to do with them. This is a great help.

  2. I own tons of scarves. I love the look of scarves, especially the new oblong ones, on most everyone, especially older women(I am 50+). I wear scarves at least a couple of times a week and find that they add SO MUCH to an outfit. Target scarves, vintage scarves, Hermes scarves. . . I LOVE THEM ALL! :)

  4. The graphic harmony print looks like the Crewlet's ocelot type print that I tried on in this post (3rd pic).

The scarf tying guide was a great repeat. Thanks for sharing :-)

  5. I have a HUGE scarf collection. I have been wearing them for many years now. I started off with maybe20-30 in the early 90's and now I have well over 100+. I would say in the last 5 years it has become my obession:) I have bought them on trips to Europe as well as when I lived in the U.K. I tend to buy them only on sale and I have gotten some really great deals over the years. Talbots also has a nice little booklet on scarf tying that I received when I ordered several from them.

  11. In this economy or when money is running low a scarf is a nice pick me up to an older outfit or just a nice item to buy if one cannot afford new clothing. I have cute back on buying new clothing and am looking for accessories to update my look for less $$

    Thanks for this post.
