Sunday Shopping: ASOS

Hey Everyone! It's time for another edition of Sunday Shopping...woo hoo! :) As a sort of follow up to this post yesterday (where I reviewed a handbag I ordered from ASOS, who is offering free shipping and free returns until 9.25, btw) we are going to visit their website for a bit of online *window shopping*. Let's get started. :)

Vero Moda Dandilion Print Silk Blouse. I am absolutely loving all the silk blouses that the various retailers are offering these days. What a great way to dress up a pair of jeans and still remain comfortable, feminine, and pulled together.

Cornelli Trim High Neck Blouse. This one reminds me a bit of this blouse from Oscar de la Renta.

Space Dye Longline Cardigan. Love, love, love long cardigans, and they will be a staple of mine this fall and winter. Perfect over skinny jeans worn with a pair of boots, or over a pair of flare jeans worn with clogs.

What do you think about the merchandise that ASOS sells? Have you purchased anything from them that you would recommend? Are you planning on placing an order while they're offering  free shipping and free? Please do share. :)

  1. I've purchased a few things from Asos. A couple of the dresses were really tight across the rear, so I sent them back. They were maternity, I might add. I recvd a credit w/out incident. I kept a grey one that's lovely. The fabrics were all good though. I'd say Asos is closer to H&M and Zara on the items I've ordered and not F21 as I had feared. Nothing against F21 of course. Just don't need to ship items like that from the UK that I can get 10 min from my home.

Will be ordering the mink bag you posted on! Can't resist that one. Thanks for sharing your style w/us. If we ever meet one day I'll might show up dressed like you ;-)

  2. ps - I've eyed the cape a few times, but I'm sure it would swallow me. It would be silly to look like a camel colored Casper, floating around, dontcha think? *lol*

  3. I ordered the quilted bag that you blogged about the other day and it already shipped. It looks like a good knockoff of my Marc Jacobs The Single in black (that I would also love to have in the nude color but I am not ready to spend another $500. $25 is much better :-)). So far, very happy with the service and if I don't like the bag I can return for free. Thanks for posting about it.

I must say, I had never heard about Asos before but I saw a few ads today in the street. Guess they are attacking the US market.

  4. I have seen many gorgeous pieces of clothes on Polyvore, when I clicked I found out they were ASOS. I was not aware of the site, so I looked closely and I liked many things. I am glad it's available in US now. I am looking forward to your detailed assessment of the quality/sizing.

  7. Gigi: Thanks for sharing about your ASOS purchases. I'm glad to hear the quality isn't F21 level, too. ITA that it would be silly to ship from the UK when you could simply go to the mall.

You are cracking me up with your cape comment! Thank you for the laugh. :)

I hope you like your mink bag. I think the price is decent for what it is, and while it does feel *synthetic*, it's still cute and the color is a great neutral.

  8. Ema: I really like that the purchases at ASOS are risk free right now. It's a great time to give them a try. Like I commented to Gigi, the bag does feel synthetic, but it's still cute and a great deal for the $25. :)
