  2. I haven't bought anything in forever (aside from my fabulous zebra print Kate Spade baby bag), so I just caved a few hours ago and picked up two items on my wishlist at J. Crew - the dream draped v-neck sweater and the marled thandie blazer. I figure, the sweater will mask any baby pooch, and the blazer looked super cute when I tried it on in store a few weeks ago. So, if it looked good at 7 months prego, it's gotta look good post-prego, right?

    Eight more weeks! OMG.

  3. You have some great items on your list...love that bag! I posted a few things I have my eye on on my blof last night...there's always something (or many somethings) on my radar! =)

  4. Happy Wednesday, FFM! I saw the Beyond Vintage dress at the Piperlime pop-up store in NYC last week. I have been staring at that dress for quite sometime now. It was cute, but unfortunately it was too long for my petite frame (and I did not want to alter it and lose the design on the bottom). I know sizing is limited online, but you could probably call the NYC store to see if they have additional sizes. (I noticed that the store had a few sizes in other items that were sold out online).

A couple of items on my ever growing wishlist: Rebecca Taylor Love It blouse, Talbots platform pumps, Tory Burch Odella blouse, and Free People Lacey Top.

  5. Thanks for stopping by today ladies! :)

Collette: The capelet has 5 stars on its 7 reviews, so I'm guessing it's even better IRL. Hopefully I'll be able to see it in person at my Anthro store some time soon. :)

Susan: You are ALMOST there...just a little longer. I know you're getting to the stage where it gets extra rough but just remember it's all worth it in the end. I'm glad to hear you're doing well! :)

  6. Hi Jenni! I'm gonna stop by your blog soon to see what's on your list. :)

ThePhDWearsPrada: Happy Wednesday! Thanks for the info about the Mixed Stripe dress. I've been watching it for a while and my size was available until Piperlime featured it on the homepage the other day. I was hoping to get it on sale, but it looks like it may never make it there. How tall are you? I wonder if it would be too long on me, too?

I love all the items on your list! What color of the Talbots pumps are you going for? The lacey top is SO cute! I got this one in "antique", also made by Free People. It needs a cami underneath it, but I'm wearing it under my black Studio Blazer from JCrew anyways, so it doesn't matter that much. It's pretty full without a jacket over it, but so cute hanging out from under the jacket over a pair of skinny jeans. :)

  8. Monogramgirl: It's great to "see" you! Isn't the Prince of Wales blazer so pretty? I almost bought it a couple weeks ago but resisted the temptation. I sure hope I can get it on sale...

The peacoat also comes in Navy. I reviewed a few days ago in this post. :)

    Thanks for stopping by!

  9. ThePhDWearsPrada: I forgot to mention that the Free People lacey tunic looks better IRL than it does online. :)

  10. I am 5'1". I didn't try the dress on, I just held it up to me and made the decision that was not going to work. I wish I could offer more details. I love how the website paired the dress with the embellished cardi from Smitten (another item on my "wish list"). I wish I could find that cardi in black (it sold out quickly). I also love your Polyvore set.

I am going for the Talbot pump in camel (the color was also featured in Lucky mag). Have you tried them on at all? I have to admit, I have never really thought much of Talbots, but they appear to have really stepped it up this season.

Thanks for the link to the lace top. I really love this "lace trend"!

  11. Thank you PhD! I am 5'4" so maybe it will work for me...

I actually used the dress in my Polyvore as a stand in for a silk skirt I just picked up at a consignment store near me. It reminded me of the dress when I saw it, so I thought it could work in its place for now.

I haven't tried the Talbots pumps, but have heard good things about their shoes in general, so hopefully the pumps are no exception. Did you see the 20% off code for Talbots?

  12. Love all of your picks!! I saw the capelet in person and was dying to try it on, but just didn't have time. It looks fabulous though and would look great on you I bet. I just got a bunch of things on my wishlist, so I'm holding off on wishing for anything right now, haha. Well, except for the Stadium Milo. :)

  13. That Capelet is also on my Anthro list! I'm hoping to see in-store soon :)

  14. Great picks. I've been reading your blog for awhile but first time commenting. I just caved in last week and bought the Brompton satchel in Henna and the Trudie coat in roasted almond online. Can't wait to get it. I have never seen any of the items irl...I hope I won't get disappointed.

  15. I love the stripy dress. I don't have much on my wish list just now, I'm trying to think out my purchases a bit more these days, I think I need to focus on buying bits to make clothes I have work for me.

  20. Tabitha: I'm also trying to think out my purchases a bit more now. I have plenty of basics, so I'm trying to focus more on unique items, as well as pieces of good quality that will have longevity. Thank you for stopping by! :)

  21. LadySmith: Welcome! I'm so glad you're here! :) It appears that the capelet only comes in the yellow combo, unfortunately. It does have a 4.5 star rating based on 14 reviews however, so it's probably better IRL than it looks online. I don't really wear much yellow myself, but since it has other colors in the plaid, I think I'll give it a try. :) Thanks again for stopping by!
