Style Inspiration by FFM: *Buffalo Check*

Happy Monday my dear readers! I hope you had a fabulous weekend! :) Today's post continues an ongoing feature called *Style Inspiration by FFM*, where I will post one of my Polyvore set designs and include links to items you can purchase to re-create the look if you so choose. Some of the set designs will be outfits I am wearing or have worn in the past, others will be *reader request* sets, and some will simply be outfits I would love to wear. (If possible I try to include a *real life* photo of me in the outfit if it's something I'm wearing at the time. Of course my schedule doesn't always allow time for snapping a pic, but it is definitely something I hope to include more of with this feature in the future.)

Now on to today's *Style Inspiration by FFM*...this set is an outfit I wore back on 11.30.10: *Buffalo Check*.
11.30.10

The Details:

The black Buffalo Check shirt is from J.Crew and appears to still be available in numerous sizes. If you aren't able to get this particular one there are similar options here and here. I find this shirt to be very versatile...it looks cute on its own, under a cardigan, blazer, or shell, and can also be worn over a tank or turtleneck for a completely different look.

My sweater is the Merino Wool Colorblock Cardigan from Banana Republic which I purchased when it first came out back in August. I love the contrasting trim on the sweater, the longer length, not to mention that it's comfortable to wear...definitely pleased with  my purchase.  It is sold out from the BR website now, but similar cardigans can be found here, here, and here.

The AG Tomboy Crops (in Runner) from Anthropologie are one of my favorites. The dark denim is flattering and has stretch to it, making them very comfortable to wear. They aren't on the Anthro website anymore, but similar option can be found here and here.

My Pave' Ball Earrings were a birthday gift from my parents that I wear on an almost daily basis. They have just the right amount of sparkle and go with everything. There are plenty of similar options available like this pair, this pair, and this pair.

The Holiday Cascading Pearls were purchased at Forever 21 last year, so they are no longer available. Similar options here and here though if you're looking for one.

My watch is the Merona® Boyfriend Style Watch from Target. This one is much prettier IRL than the online picture. It does run big, but a jeweler can remove links to give you a perfect fit. (This watch is a great less-expensive alternative to the MICHAEL KORS Silver Oversized Runway Watch.)

The shoes were purchased at Target a couple of years ago and have worn quite well. I love the silver detail on the toe and it helps pull together all the accessories in the outfit. There are similar styles available now here and here if you're looking for a pair.

My Charm and Luck silver metallic handbag was purchased several years ago and gets carried a lot. The CPW (cost per wear) on it is now in the pennies. You can see a RL pic of it here. I think a metallic handbag is a great staple piece to have in your wardrobe. It works as a neutral that can be worn with just about any outfit you have on. Metallic bags can be found just about anywhere such as here, here and here.

That's it for now! Have a beautiful and blessed day! :)

xoxo,

  7. Thank you Collette! :)

yogagirl: I hope you're able to get the Rose Dust check shirt. It would look fabulous on you! :)

Patina: I can't wait to see pics of your pink bag...I'm sure it's gorgeous! I'm going to try for more IRL pics soon. My super busy schedule just hasn't allowed for them lately.

Tabitha: I would probably feel the same way if I lived where it got so extremely cold. I would really love it if we could have more of our chilly days, though. The days with 40 or 50 degree temps are ideal for wearing some of my favorite outfits. Unfortunately they are few and far between here.

Janna: Thank you and Merry Christmas to you, too! :)

The white cabbage: Thanks! I'll be stopping by your blog soon. :)
