Style Inspiration by FFM: *1.22.10*

Hello my dear readers! Today's post continues an ongoing feature called *Style Inspiration by FFM*, where I will post one of my Polyvore set designs and include links to items you can purchase to re-create the look if you so choose. Some of the set designs will be outfits I am wearing or have worn in the past, others will be *reader request* sets, and some will simply be outfits I would love to wear. (If possible I try to include a *real life* photo of me in the outfit if it's something I'm wearing at the time. Of course my schedule doesn't always allow time for snapping a pic, but it is definitely something I hope to include more of with this feature in the future.)

Now on to today's *Style Inspiration by FFM*...this set is an outfit I wore to run errands and grocery shop on 1.22.10.

The Details:

My black turtleneck sweater is from Gap. I purchased two in this color on a great discount and love them. The sweater is nicely fitted without looking too tight and very comfortable, as well. Highly recommend if you're looking for one. (Similar here and here.)

The Donegal Wool Schoolboy Blazer in *Heather Carbon* is from the J.Crew Factory store. Now, I am really not a fan of the factory store, but after searching for the retail version of this jacket for almost two years to no avail, I decided to break down and give this one a try when it was on a deep discount. I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived. The quality is decent for the price I paid, and the fit is great. Right now you can get it for 30% off with code MUSTSHOP. I'm really happy to have finally added a heather carbon blazer to my wardrobe. (Similar here and here.)

The Old Navy "The Weekend Jeans" are my *go to* pair for a more casual, dressed down look. I like how they balance out the blazer, making the entire outfit "casually chic" as opposed to too dressy. (Similar jeans here and here in 7yr distressed.)

My Skinny Tortoise Patent belt was purchased from J.Crew last year. I love how the colors work so well with the Cognac color of my Banana Republic Goa 4-Pocket Hobo Handbag (also purchased last year with an amazing discount) and my Tory Burch Greta Wedge Clogs that I purchased in early December last year. The clogs are still available in limited sizes and while the handbag is now sold out, you can find similar ones here and here.

I purchased my Monet Gold Hoop Earrings at Macy's last year. They aren't available online, but you can find similar options here and here.

My gold oversized watch is from Target and is a great less-expensive alternative to this one from Michael Kors. It runs large, but I had a jeweler remove a couple of the links and it's now a perfect fit. I love it AND the price! :)

The Kenneth Jay Lane Champs-Elysees 8-3/4" Bracelet is one of my favorite jewelry pieces. It is big and bold, yet lightweight...the perfect statement piece. I purchased it at QVC.com early last year, so it is sold out now, but there are similar options here, here, here, and here.

My Angela Caputi Chain Link Bracelet is the same one seen in this photo and this photo from The Sartorialist. I want to thank Desert Flower for finding out where to purchase this bracelet...I love it! (It is also sold here at the "Off Broadway" Boutique.)

I purchased my Tortoise Sunglasses a couple of years ago on Ebay, and they are still in great condition. (You can find a similar pair here and here.)

I must say this outfit is now one of my favorites. It is comfortable, polished, and casually chic...a favorite combination of mine. :)

Have a beautiful and blessed day!

xoxo,

  8. Lizzy T: Thank you! I will definitely work on posting IRL pics of me in the outfits again. My *extra time* is at a minimum right now with homeschool back in full swing, so the pictures were one of the things that had to *go* for the time being. I'll get them back up eventually though! :)
