Style Inspiration by FFM: *3.6.11*

Happy Friday Everyone! Today's post continues an ongoing feature called *Style Inspiration by FFM*, where I will post one of my Polyvore set designs and include links to items you can purchase to re-create the look if you so choose. Some of the set designs will be outfits I am wearing or have worn in the past, others will be *reader request* sets, and some will simply be outfits I would love to wear. (If possible I try to include a *real life* photo of me in the outfit if it's something I'm wearing at the time. Of course my schedule doesn't always allow time for snapping a pic, but it is definitely something I hope to include more of with this feature in the future.)

Now on to today's *Style Inspiration by FFM*...this set is a casual outfit I wore to the park for a *Going Away* party on 3.6.11. The weather was gorgeous that day...the outfit was perfect for the occasion, received numerous compliments, and it was very comfortable, too. :)

3.6.11

The J.Crew Vintage Bateau Top in Camel is one of my all-time favorite shirts at this point. CPW (Cost Per Wear) is in the negative amount by now. I love it so much that I bought a *spare* last month when it popped back on the website in my size. I'd love to see J.Crew offer them again this season and add another color or two. :) (Similar here in *Golden Treasure* and here.)

My wide-leg jeans were found at a consignment shop last year. I love them...incredibly comfortable and only cost me a couple bucks. (Similar here and here.)

The Wool Floral Scarf was purchased from J.Crew on sale last year. I love the mix of the floral print with the stripes of the bateau top and the colors compliment each other very well. (Similar here and here.)

My Monet Gold Hoop Earrings were purchased at Macy's last year. They aren't available online, but you can find similar options here and here.

The gold oversized watch is from Target and is a great less-expensive alternative to this one from Michael Kors. It runs large, but I had a jeweler remove a couple of the links and it's now a perfect fit. I love it AND the price! :)

My Triple Scrolled-link Bracelet is from J.Crew a couple of years ago. It is big, bold, and looks great layered with the watch.

I purchased both of my Angela Caputi Chain Link Bracelets from Serena Italian Imports back in December of last year. I absolutely love them and wear them all the time. They are the same ones seen in this photo and this photo from The Sartorialist.  The bracelets are also sold here at the "Off Broadway" Boutique.

My ring is big, bold, and a great *match* to the Angela Caputi bracelet and was found at a vintage shop many years ago. If you're looking for something similar you may consider this one in *Tiger's Eye* or this one.

The Large Metallic Thompson Tote was purchased from J.Crew a couple years ago. I don't carry it often during the winter months, but it gets plenty of use during the spring and summer. It is a bright yellow gold that actually works well as a great neutral for all the prints and color I wear during those seasons. I also like the way it coordinates and almost *matches* most of my yellow gold jewelry pieces. (Every now and then the bag will show up for sale on Ebay, or there are similar options here and here.)

I purchased my Kork-Ease *Bette* Wedge Sandals off of Rue La La last year for an absolute steal. They are so incredibly comfortable, even with the higher heel, and I have worn them over and over again. These are another example of a purchase where the CPW is now in the negative numbers. (Similar here in *Ice* and here in *Sandstone*.)

My Aviator sunglasses were purchased from Endless.com quite awhile ago and are one of my *go to* pairs. Aviators are sold just about everywhere and at different price ranges, so finding a pair to fit your budget should be fairly easy. :) (A few you may be interested in here, here, and here.)

That's it for now! Have a wonderful day! :)

xoxo,

  4. You always manage to look effortless and chic, FFM, and this outfit is a perfect example of that. I think I need to hunt down that bateau top - the color is fantastic!
I've been eyeballing Kork-Ease's for a while now - how do they fit? I've also heard they were super-duper comfy, sounds like the reviews are right if you love them!

  5. Lisa-respect the shoes: THANK YOU! The bateau top really is fantastic. It keeps popping back in the Final sale section, so you may be able to snag one if you keep checking. :)

I find Kork-Ease to run a little small. I wear either a 9.5 or 10 and all of my Kork-Ease are 10s. So I would say that if you are between sizes it is best to size up. HTH!!! :)
