Promo Time: Old Navy, Madewell, and J.Crew Plus *IRL* Pics of the Lula Glitter Ballet Flats, Tiered Gauze Skirt, and More...

Happy Wednesday Everyone! I hope you're having a fantastic week so far! I wanted to let you know about a few promotions taking place and share some real-life images of items I've had the opportunity to check out in person lately, so here we go! :)

Old Navy: Save 20% Off Adult Purchases with code MAKEOVER at checkout. Offer valid until 5.13.11.

*Scoop-neck Tee. I have this in the Blue Stripe, which is actually a deeper navy blue IRL...great little tee for the price. :)

*Lightweight Roll-Up Shirt. I also have this one in the *Mineral Deposit* color, which is a nice taupe shade IRL. The blouse is great for the price and a nice alternative to some of the similar, but more expensive ones at other retailers.

*Roll-Up Boyfriend Cardigan. Love the length and the adjustable sleeves.

*Plaid Bermudas. How cute these would be paired with a plain tee or tank top and a pair of espadrilles or fab sandals for summer.

*Tiered Gauze Skirt. I love this skirt! I have both the pink and yellow print...they are SO much cuter IRL than online. They look super cute worn with a basic tee and sandals...easy casual-chic. :)

*Jersey Cross-Front Maxi Dress. An inexpensive way to try out the maxi-dress trend if you haven't yet decided whether or not they are for you.

*Aztec-Print Bucket Bag. Cute. Cute. Cute.

Madewell: Save 20% Off Tees & Sweaters Plus Free Shipping on $100+ with code GOFORIT. Offer valid until 5.13.11.

*California coast two-tone tee . What a fun alternative to the *basic* tee. Love the Pink Sand color.

*V-Neck Pocket Tee. This one comes in such fun colors! I love it in Glam Pink especially. :)

*California Coast Pencil Stripe Tee . Love the stripes and the length.

*Striped Trapeze Tee in Olive/Navy...what a great color combination.

*Tomboy sweatshirt tee. Cute to wear over a white button down or own it's own with shorts, crop pants, or jeans.

*Deck-Stripe Popover. This looks so comfy...

*Year-Round Tank. Always a great staple to have in your wardrobe.

J.Crew: Free Shipping/No Minimum on Every Order with code FREESHIP at checkout. Offer ends TODAY, so shop now to take advantage of the deal.

*Short-sleeve Selvedge Chambray Shirt. I pre-ordered this one after seeing it in the Spring 2011 preview and highly recommend it. It is made very well plus it goes with anything and everything. Sizing on this one runs big, so going down one size is probably the best option. I went with the XXSmall and normally wear an XSmall in button down shirts.

*Perfect Shirt in Casbah Paisley. Love this! It is absolutely lovely IRL and runs True To Size. I think it has more of a turquoise undertone to it in person, so if you look good in that color, this is one is for you.

*Shrunken Fisherman Sweater. This is really nice in person and runs TTS. I like all three colors. Here are the white and beechwood:

*Icon Trench in Light Khaki. My store has never sold this, but I did pick one up earlier this year online and highly recommend it if you're in the market for a classic trench that will last for years to come.

*Lula Glitter Ballet Flats. My store didn't have these in, but I had ordered them last week to see in person...love! Of course they are the focal point of any outfit, so keep the rest of your clothing basic when wearing them. For example, they look so cute worn with a basic white or light grey tee and pair of rolled up jeans or white bermuda shorts along with silver accessories.

*Casbah Scarf. This one comes in three colors and each is very pretty IRL. I think it may be a bit too heavy to be worn as a summer scarf (depending on where you live), but the colors will transition well into fall, so there will still be plenty of time to wear it. The jade color (same print as the Casbah perfect shirt) seems to be sold out online, but is still available in stores.

*Navy Schoolboy Blazer. A great staple piece that can be updated in years to come by switching out the buttons.

Are you taking advantage of any of the promos and deals happening this week? Is there an item you love and would recommend? Please do share! :)

Have a lovely day!

xoxo,

  2. Thanks for the post! What did you think of the shrunken fisherman sweater in navy? It's so pretty in the birchwood and I'm trying to decide between them. Thanks for the tip on the Old Navy skirts. They look like a perfect Summer staple!

  3. I'm LOVING those Lula glitter ballet flats!!! I think I am going to stalk them online until they go on sale! Do you think they run TTS?

  4. suburban mom: Oh good! They are such an easy piece to put on and go, all while looking cute and pulled together. :)

  5. Lizzy T: I really like the Navy Fisherman sweater, too. However, to me it seems such a dark color for right now, while the beechwood and white seem more *airy* and lighter for spring. I am going to watch the navy to go on sale and try to get it to put away for next fall/winter. HTH! :)

  6. Erika: Aren't the Lulas adorable? I do think they run pretty TTS, maybe a tad large. I normally wear a 9.5 in most brands, sometimes a 10. I got the 10 in these because my last pair of J.Crew flats in a 9.5 were too small. The size 10 Lulas feel good and leave room for a cushioned insert to give added comfort. Plus they have the elasticized band around the shoe that holds them on. I've considered trying the 9.5, but don't think I'd have room for an insert then. Hope this helps a little! :)

  7. I love the gauze skirts. I have white and ordered the white/black print, but it wasn't as flattering. When I return it, I may check out the patterns you posted. Cute!

  11. mack: The Lulas are SO pretty IRL! Definitely give them a try if you get the chance. Which colors of the fisherman sweater did you get? I would like to eventually own all three...yes, a *multiples* purchase, but they each have there own unique look, IMO.

Oh the navy schoolboy...yes, I do have the Gap version, but did end up getting the one from J.Crew during one of the jacket promos earlier this year. I have been lusting after it since it's arrival at J.Crew, so I finally bit the bullet and got it. It rarely goes on sale, so when I had the opportunity to get the reduced price I pounced on it. Same with the Icon trench. It was another one I've pined after for many years, so I decided to make that investment, as well. I honestly don't regret either purchase. :)

  12. For the fisherman sweaters - I got the white and beachwood color with a promo. As soon as the navy came out (an another promo), I got that one too. I'm sure I could have waited on all of them :) The navy is dark and doesn't have a summer vibe like the other two. But just as fab.
