OOTD: 8.26.11 *Denim and Chambray*

It's been quite a while since I've posted an "Outfit of the Day", so before heading out to my hair appointment earlier this morning, I managed to snap a picture of what I'm wearing today. :)

8.26.11 *Denim and Chambray*
*Denim and Chambray*

IRL:

The Details:

*J.Crew Factory End-on-End Camp Shirt in 'Classic Navy', size XSmall. I also own the original Contrast-stitch Perfect Shirt from the retail store and there honestly isn't much of a difference between the two. I am not one to buy many 'made for the factory' items, but I had read good reviews of this one from other JCAs, and since I wanted a "back up" in case something happened to my original I decided to order. Well, all of the reviews were correct, and this shirt is indeed very nice quality. If you have been looking for the Contrast-stitch perfect shirt to no avail, this is a really great alternative.

*Old Navy 'The Weekend' Jeans in Weathered Wash. By far some of my favorites, and I wear them a lot. Old Navy had stopped carrying them for awhile, but I have noticed them pop back on the website every now and then, so if you're looking for a pair, it's worth bookmarking the page and checking back regularly to see if they show up in your size.

*J.Crew Pearl Twisted Hammock Necklace purchased a couple years ago. Similar here and here (this is also offered in white so check your local store).

*Steel By Design Hoop Earrings in *Yellow Gold*. These are extremely lightweight and very comfortable to wear. If you're looking for a slightly larger gold hoop, I would suggest giving these a try. :)

*Shimmering Croco Pattern Strap Watch in white. This is very pretty IRL and comfortable to wear, as well.

*J.Crew Small Crystal Colletto Bracelet also purchased quite awhile ago. Similar here (in 'Crystal') and here.

*LOFT Serena Mini-Stud sandals in white, which I wear on a constant basis. I have been looking for an alternative to these since the soles are just about worn out now and recently purchased the 'Farley' sandal from Report (in white). They don't have the gold studs, but I like the solid color since I will be able to wear it with both gold and silver accessories. I haven't worn them yet, but from trying them on they seem incredibly comfortable.

*J.Crew Large Metallic Gallery Hobo in Pale Gold. I have carried this bag frequently since I purchased it quite awhile ago, so the CPW (Cost Per Wear) on it is very minimal at this point. If you're looking for one, I've seen them every now and then on Ebay or you could opt for a similar alternative such as this one or this one.

**Just an added note to let you know that if you missed my PSA earlier today about the J.Crew Icon Trench you can check it out here.

That's it for now! I'm off to fix dinner...enjoy the rest of your day! :)

xoxo,

  3. Yes, I love seeing your IRL pictures!
You look chic as always and you've convinced me to wear my hammock necklace. I just don't have the courage to wear bigger jewelry. I have the small hobo bag in silver and it's one of my fav. Have a great weekend!

  5. jcrewphd: Thank you! I haven't worn my hammock necklace in awhile because I've been drawn to smaller jewelry pieces lately. However, I do love the necklace and really like the contrast of it with the casual feel of the denim combination, so I decided to bring it out of the jewelry section of my clothing *museum* for the day. :)
