Yes Please!!!

Tory Burch Penny Loafer

I recently had the opportunity to try these on and must say that they are now high on my wish list. They felt comfortable and true to size, plus they were very flattering on...not too bulky or manly looking at all. At the time I tried them on, I was wearing a white Three-quarter Sleeve Stretch Perfect Shirt from J.Crew tucked into the Foundry Pant (also from J.Crew), worn with a black Wide Leather Jeans Belt (which I purchased from J.Crew a couple years ago) and the outfit looked extra cute with the addition of the Penny Loafer, imho. It will definitely be a look I will wear if/when I get a pair. :)

I initially had my eye on the red loafers, but since I am in need of a basic black shoe (and they are pricey which means no multiples), I have changed my choice to the black colorway instead. I do wish they were less $$$, but after trying on numerous pairs of black penny loafers, I have found them to be one of the most comfortable and flattering so far. For me, this means they will get a lot more use, which will in turn make the CPW (Cost Per Wear) for them very low.

xoxo,

  5. Thanks for stopping by to share your thoughts about the penny loafers ladies! :)

ina: The Foundry Pant runs large. I normally wear a 2 or 4 in pants at J.Crew and have the foundry in a size 0. I actually think I could have even worn the 00 as they stretch out when you're wearing them. HTH! :)

fidele: Thanks for the info on the Brookfield! You're right, it is very similar and a great price, too. My size is sold out everywhere online right now but I would love to give them a try, so I'll be stalking the websites in case they come back in stock.

I recently bought the red pair and also LOVE them. I have already worn them many times so I know over the years they will pay for themselves!

  12. I have been coveting the red ones since I first saw them on the website! 25% off right now is very tempting. Those foundry pants look so cute... I can see them with the loafers for sure

  13. Update on these penny loafers ladies: I ordered them in my 'normal' size and they ended up being too large. Not sure why they felt as if they fit in the store...probably because I didn't have the opportunity to walk around in them a lot. Anyways, I reordered in a half-size smaller and the fit is perfect, so for me the actually run a half size large.
