Style Inspiration by FFM: 10.9.11-*Love This...* Interpretation/Recreation

This post continues an ongoing feature called *Style Inspiration by FFM*, where I will post one of my Polyvore set designs and include links to items you can purchase to re-create the look if you so choose. Some of the set designs will be outfits I am wearing or have worn in the past, others will be *reader request* sets, and some will simply be outfits I would love to wear. (If possible I try to include a *real life* photo of me in the outfit if it's something I'm wearing at the time. Of course my schedule doesn't always allow time for snapping a pic, but it is definitely something I hope to include more of with this feature in the future.)

Now on to today's *Style Inspiration by FFM*...this set is my interpretation/recreation of a look I featured in one of my *Love This..." posts here earlier this year. I loved this outfit from the moment I saw the photo and immediately began my search for similar pieces to recreate the look. I actually found everything I needed several months ago, but unfortunately the weather had been too warm to wear the look. Thankfully, back in October it started to cool down, so I took advantage of the cooler temps to wear my outfit when taking my 6 year-old out for his birthday on 10.9.11.
10.9.11: 'Love This...' Inspiration/Recreation

IRL:

The Details:
*J.Crew Chino Cooper Jacket purchased several years ago. (Similar here and here.)

*Zara Retro-stripe Tee in Red/Navy combo. The minute I saw this tee in the store I knew it would be perfect for the look I wanted to recreate. (You may remember that I also purchased this tee in the copper colorway and blogged about it here back in August.) I love these tees...the cotton is super soft and they are very comfortable to wear. The price is decent on them, too. (Similar here.)

*L.L. Bean Sailor Girl Print Scarf purchased several months ago. I knew that I wanted a scarf with a nautical print for recreating my look. I searched a long time to find one of the J.Crew In-Store only Sailboat scarves but was never successful. So, when I saw this one at L.L. Bean on sale and with free shipping, I decided that it would work just as well. :) (This one is another great option and so is this one.)

*Madewell Vintage Low Flares. I purchased these earlier this year so they are sold out now, but there are similar jeans here and here.

*Anthropologie Crystal Urchin's Shell earrings purchased two years ago. I love these and wear them on a regular basis. I would love to see Anthro offer them again and would happily pick up another pair. :) Since they are no longer available, you might consider a similar pair like these or these (if you are looking for some).

*ISAACMIZRAHILIVE! Perfect Crystal Bold StretchBracelet. This is another one of my favorites and I wear it quite frequently. (I own it in the silver version, as well.) It really is so pretty IRL, and I get compliments, as well as asked where it's from at least once every single time I wear it. As a matter of fact, the last time I was in Anthropologie, the SA who was helping me asked about it and was planning on buying one for herself and one to give as a gift...in both colors.

*Joan Rivers Timeless Elegance Croco Embossed Strap Watch. I love the color of this watch in person, it's comfortable to wear, and it's a perfect match to my handbag. :)

*Oliver Peoples PHOEBE 59 sunglasses. I was able to purchase these awhile ago on Gilt.com at a fabulous price...love them and highly recommend if you're able to get a pair. (Similar here and here.)

*Chloé Paddington Leather Satchel in Red. I love adding the color red to outfits, especially when the outfit consists of mainly neutrals. A red handbag, bracelet, or watch (like the one above) is an excellent way to do that. (Similar here here and here.)

*Kork-Ease 'Bette' Wedge Sandal in Natural. I love these sandals! They are very comfortable, even with the 4" wedge heel, and look cute with jeans, skirts, and dresses...very versatile. :)

That's it for now! Have a lovely day!:)

xoxo,
