How incredibly adorable is this dress? The floral print, full-skirt, and ruffle hem are so pretty and feminine...love, love, love!!! Another addition to my spring wishlist. :)

  1. Oh it's so pretty!
This might be the year I buy a Kate Spade dress. FFM, do you have any suggestions on where I might go in Florida to try on some of her line?
    Any tips would be appreciated!
    Enjoy your Saturday!

  4. I love this dress! I never really paid too attention to Kate Spade until reading your blog. Now, I think I'm going to have to set aside money just for Kate so when I see a dress like this I'm ready to pounce! I think I remember hearing she's from my neck of the woods.

  5. I like the design of the dress but the print looks like it would work only on younger women in their 20's or early 30's. I would not wear it at age 40. Wish it was in a solid color. (Plus the price is totally insane!!! for a dress that would only be worn a few times a year.)

  6. Hi Dani! You should definitely give Kate Spade a try! The quality on most of the garments is impeccable and the prices on sale often end up being comparable to J.Crew pieces. Right now when choosing between the 2 brands, I've been opting for Kate Spade.

There is a Kate Spade retail store at the International Plaza mall in Tampa (right across from J.Crew)...not to far from where you normally come to visit. :)

  9. Hi Dorothy! Kate Spade offers SO many pretty options for clothing and handbags. I always find several things to love with each new rollout, too. I know that the items are pricey when they are first debuted, but I continue to watch them until they go on sale and pick them up then. I would rather save my money and invest in a well-made, higher quality piece that I love, even if I do pay a bit more for it. I'm investing in quality pieces that I love to build my wardrobe and trying hard to pass up items I just 'like' or that don't meet my quality standards just because they're on sale. In the long run, I have been spending less overall while acquiring high quality, well-made garments I'm excited to wear. :)

Btw, the Kate Spade New York line is also sold at numerous other retailers such as Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, and Bloomingdale's, so it is fairly easy to pick up desired pieces on sale.

  10. Anon @11:57am: I'm sorry to hear the print doesn't work for you. There is a good chance that it will be offered in a solid, especially if the design ends up being very popular. I completely agree that the price is insane. Most KS items are pricey to begin with, but they can be picked up at fantastic sale prices, eventually. Lucky for me, the climate here allows dresses like this (as well as the rest of her line) to be worn year-round, so my CPW will end up being minimal. While that isn't the case in a lot of climates, it would still get the chance to be worn for a couple of seasons each year, making the CPW low then, as well. :)
