J.Crew Promo-Priced Items: Updated List

J.Crew has marked a lot of new items to promo-price this week, so here is the updated list. :)

For those of you who aren't familiar with Promo-priced items, they are select Regular-price pieces that J.Crew marks down to a 'Promotional Price' for a short amount of time. These items are eligible for any extra % off sale or full-price promotions that may occur at any time. The Promo-priced items are also eligible for the Educator and Student Discounts, so if you are a teacher or student you can receive an additional 15% off on them, as well.

The promo-prices are usually in effect for a week or two (sometimes longer), then they either go back up to full-price or move on into Spring Sale. I have noted the majority of the Promo-priced items currently available on the J.Crew website here:

  2. I purchased the Gondola Coat first thing the morning. I'm anxiously waiting for the "we shipped your item" email. I can't wait to wear it. I ordered the Cha Cha dress too, but not sure I can really justify a white linen dress. Too much Crewlade today and tomorrow has new releases - OY!

  3. Is there any way to get the educator discount online?

    1. Whereismyrobot: The best way to get the educator discount applied to online purchases is to order them from the red phone at a J.Crew store. The SA there will verify your educator status by asking for your ID and then confirm it to the online SA.

It used to be that J.Crew allowed the discount to be applied when ordering from home, but changed that last year, if I remember correctly. However, some JCAs have been able to still get it applied to online orders by placing them with their online personal shoppers, so you could try that route. I know that they faxed a copy of their ID to the PS, and then she applied the discount.

Another way that you can try if you have an in-store PS is to ask them if they will place the order from the red phone for you when you call them from home. That way you don't have to go in to the store, but still get the discount. Hope this helps!
