A Little This, A Little That...

Love This...

And This...

So Adorable...

This Too...

Anyone else a fan of MasterChef? Well...I love watching the show, and actually have an Anthropologie sighting from one of the episodes for you! It comes from the episode where the Top 15 compete in the Crab challenge. Helene Leeds wore the green Maeve Beda dress from Anthropologie on the show...

I have the white version of the dress, which I wore to run errands and make a trip to the market back in April...after all, a pretty dress can make any errand or event much more pleasant. ;) I shared all the details in this post.

While my three youngest boys have been enjoying VBS all week, I took the opportunity to visit a few of my favorite retailers...J.Crew, Anthropologie, and the Kate Spade Outlet store. While at J.Crew I had the opportunity to try a few things on...how fun!

The first item that caught my eye was the Dizzy Anchors dress. (You may remember me mentioning it in this post back at the beginning of the month, as being one of the New Arrivals pieces that I was interested in.) The dress is really cute in person, and the quality is good, too. I feel it runs slightly large. My 'normal' J.Crew dress size is a 0 or 2, but the size 00 fit the best in this particular dress. This one is on my watch list, as I love the silhouette (I would love to see the dress offered in a solid color or a plaid), and think the anchor print would be cute for our numerous stays on the Gulf Coast during the spring and summer months. (You can see the dress here on Rose, and here on AppGal)

Perfect shirt in chambray polka dot. This one is also good quality and very cute in person...ended up being a purchase for me. (Note: this is currently price $78 in stores, while it is $88 online.) It looks great with white capris or denim now, and will easily transition into fall and winter paired with a black skirt and knee boots, or black pants, as well as other colors such as winter white, charcoal grey, and navy blue. If you are currently wearing the colored pants trend, it looks adorable with red, too. (You can see the shirt here on ajc, here on AppGal, and here on Slastena.)

Ella dress in porcelain paisley. I feel this one runs on the normal to large side, as the size 2 fit me well, and that is the larger of my two J.Crew dress sizes. I have read reports that it is now $139 in stores, and that is before the extra 30% off discount.

Café capri in safari cat: These are actually quite cute in person, and fit true-to-size (the 2 fit me best, and that is my 'normal' café capri size). Unfortunately for me, the café capri silhouette is just not flattering for my body shape, so I did not bring them home with me. However, had they been in a different pant style, I would have considered them, especially at the in-store price of $34.99 before the additional 30% off. (You can see the pants here on Slastena.)

Speaking of J.Crew...there was a 'switch-up' on the Promo-price items again this week. Some new items have been marked to promo-price, while others have gone back to regular-price or marked down to sale price, so I've updated both the Women's and Men's lists. You can see the updated Women's Promo-priced items list here, and the updated Men's Promo-priced items list here. :)

Here are a few of the outfits I've worn on my shopping/errand running excursions this week...

  1. Hi FFM, Great outfits! I also like the silhouette of the anchor dress, I wish it was offered in solid colors. It is Canada Day weekend here and we are off to an island cottage, I'll be packing up today and organizing the food. We leave early tomorrow.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

  2. I am absolutely crazy about Master Chef! It is so much fun!

Love your outfits - I keep eying the safari cat capris, but can't seem to pull the trigger... maybe the next 30% off?

    1. Hi WMM! It's so nice to have a fellow MasterChef fan! Do you have a favorite to win yet?

Knowing how much you love J.Crew capris, I think you would probably really like the safari cat pair, too. They look really adorable paired with a chambray shirt and sandals. :)

  3. I love your cute outfits. Our weekend is packed with a large party tonight - a pot luck BBQ at our house for about 20. Our dear friends are in town and I couldn't resist getting our old gang together. Even as a Pot Luck it is a lot of work to get the house together, several appetizers prepared, and cocktails shaken. Due to bad planning, I even have a client meeting today. Yikes! Fortunately for me, tomorrow I can make it to J Crew in SF to check out a few sale items before Slugger's baseball game. Sunday is berry picking and jam making (a first for me) and I can't wait!
I hope you have a fabulous weekend!!!!

    1. Thank you Julie! Your party sounds like so much fun! It's always so nice to meet up with old friends...sort of takes you back to your younger years, doesn't it?

I hope all went well with your client meeting today, and that you were able to get all the little details for your party taken care of, too. Have fun at J.Crew tomorrow! Let me know if you decide to get anything. :)

  4. I love that you dress every day. So many times I'm tempted to schlep around in my sweats and I always think that FFM would not run to the market looking like that! You are a good influence :)

  6. We moved & don't have our tv hooked up yet. Although I want to follow the Olympic Trials & such, I haven't missed it at all. If it were hooked up, I'd probably catch Master Chef. I like those types of shows. I'll bet that white dress is super cute on you & I love that you have the Raj paisley. Very FFM as well ;)

    1. Hi Gigi! I hope your move went well! How does MiniG like her new surroundings? I think you would like MasterChef. I'm pretty sure you can catch most, if not all of the episodes online right now.

Have you worn your Raj paisley maxidress yet? I think it looks beautiful on you! :)
