  1. FFM - things you never want to see: me wearing the top in the first picture! I was crazy about this photo and stupidly ordered the sweater, forgetting that a) I am not 5'9" and b) I am not 110 pounds, too! It was hideous and went back right away! Thank god there were no photos! Have a great day!

    1. Hi WMM! Well, the sweater does look quite long on the model, so I understand why it didn't work out for you. The color combination is quite lovely though! Perhaps you can try a similar color combination with items already in your wardrobe. :)

    2. Perhaps, but I sure haven't found it yet... that is the difficulty in living in a small town! Am hoping to do well in Boston this weekend!

  2. Thanks for sharing this ongoing series. I love to see how designers are put such creative, fun looks together but will be modifying the bold color block and pattern/stripe mixes for my low key life style. I have the sweater and skirt from look #1 (sweater is teal blue from fall '11 and pencil skirt is from last year too in a mustard color and Edie purse in tan). Although the look is very pretty together, ultimately I did not feel comfortable wearing it out and about. I do plan on wearing my sovereign paisley pencil skirt and Cashmere Boatneck Sweater in Colorblock together when the weather gets a bit cooler but with a subdued hand bag and shoes. The Silk Paisley Dervish Shirt is gorgeous and I’m waiting patiently for a sale to purchase. I could never pull it off myself as pictured. It will be toothpick jeans or capri's for me.

    1. Awakening my Wardrobe: You're welcome! I'm glad to know that you are enjoying this series. I also love to see how designers put their looks together, and while I don't always care for the exact looks they do, it's fun to pick out a piece or two, and then tweak it for to my own personal liking and style. I thought it would also be fun to break down the outfits, so that anyone wanting to create the entire look, or just get a piece or two out of it, can see the items individually on the website. Plus the majority of them are on sale now, too. :)

I love the Paisley Dervish shirt and bought it in the navy. I have been patiently waiting to wear it because I think it may go on sale any day now, and I would prefer to rebuy it at the sale price.

      Thanks for stopping by!

  4. Hi Fabulous Florida Mommy!
I bought that paisley skirt and love it! Of course if I were a couple of inches taller it would probably look better on me, but great print and good color combination.
