Yes Please!!!

I mentioned adding the Biennial medium satchel in calf hair to my Fall Shopping List in this post last week. After waiting for what seems like forever for it to be available on the J.Crew website (ever since seeing it in the Fall 2012 Lookbook)...it has finally made its debut, along with many other New Arrivals. I was able to pre-order the bag with a discount code, and will be sure to review it once it arrives. :)

Along with the handbag, the other New Arrivals that have caught my eye are the Collection golden paisley blouse, Collection golden paisley pant, and Collection schoolboy blazer in Italian cashmere in Dusty Camel. What about you? Do you like any of the New Arrivals at J.Crew? Please do share...I always love to hear from you!

I also want to mention that J.Crew is offering Free Shipping on ANY order with code FREESHIP at checkout until 9.16.12. Be sure to check out my Promo-Priced Items lists to see what items have been given a promotional price, and also to see the ones that have been further marked down. The Women's list is here, and the Men's list is here

Btw, I want to say a big THANK YOU for all the kind words and well wishes for a speedy recovery from my back injury that so many of you left for me last week. I spent all of last week resting in bed, and do feel much better this week. I have even been able to get back to doing most of my normal daily routine. Thank you again to all who stopped by to share your kind thoughts...I truly appreciate each and every one of you! :)

Have a lovely day! :)

xoxo,

  3. Glad you're feeling better. Nothing is really calling my name this rollout - thank goodness! The navy top with the jeweled neckline is due to arrive tomorrow. Plus I have my heart set on a velvet blazer from W by Worth. Not online yet, but I'll post about it soon.

  4. FFM I've been thinking about you and I am so happy to know you are feeling much better!
I look forward to your review of the bag. I always love a new roll-out but there is nothing that I have to have, I do enjoy reading everyone else's thoughts though, it's good fun!

  5. Dear FFM,

I'm so sorry, I totally missed the news that you had injured your back! I hope you are much better now!

I saw the Calf Hair Biennial bag in my local store yesterday - it's very cute. I prefer the other leopard print myself, but I know you have a similar leopard print in your Talbots bag. So, given that you are happy with the print, it is a lovely bag. Also, it's a medium sized bag, not the giant biennial, so it's very usable.

I love some of the new releases. But have decided to respectfully turn away from the Collection paisley blouse and pants that I have had earmarked since they first previewed the fall collection! They are just too pricey. I cannot justify it. I think what suits me better is the honeycomb print. I have seen a silk scarf in store, which is truly luscious in that print and ordered the blouse in that print today. And also the jacquard pants! :)

Hope you have a wonderful evening!

    1. Thank you maqsad! :)

I do really like this leopard-print, so I hope the bag will work for me. I'm really glad that they made it in a smaller version, as the regular size Biennial is too large for me (and I am a 'big bag girl).

I agree that the paisley items are too pricey...so sad, isn't it? I hope that my store at least gets them in so that I can try them though. If they work out for me, then I will be anxiously awaiting for them to hit sale.

The honeycomb print is so lovely! Please do let me know what you think of the blouse and pants once they arrive! :)

  6. FFM, excellent to hear you are well on the mend! And as a "bag lady" I really hope the Biennial lives up to your love and comes to stay in your closet. Although I don't have one, I thrill at that JC name as it sounds like the wonderful Biennale contemporary art exhibitions in cities like Paris and Venice. Somehow for me that makes it even more stylish, LOL. With maqsad on the navy-brown honeycomb print, hoping the scarf (non-itchy silk) shows up in our one CDN store.

    1. Thank you GetFresh! :) Yes, I am also hoping that the calf hair Biennial lives up to my expectations. It would be so nice to have a bag to match my flats...

Oh I am glad to hear that the honeycomb print is navy and brown! I thought it was black from looking at the online pics. I really like that blouse, and the scarf sounds lovely, too. :)
