J.Crew: New Promo-Priced Items & Markdowns Plus Save 25% Off $150+ or 30% Off $250+ - GIFTNOW

Just a quick note to let you know that J.Crew is offering 25% Off orders of $150+, or 30% Off orders of $250+, and Free Shipping on $150+ with code GIFTNOW at checkout until 12.9.12. They have also done another 'switch-up' on the Promo-priced items this week...a lot of new items have been marked to promo-price, while others have gone back to regular-price or marked down to sale price. I have updated the Women's list here, and you can see the Men's list here.

For those of you who aren't familiar with Promo-priced items, they are select Regular-price pieces that J.Crew marks down to a 'Promotional Price' for a short amount of time. These items are eligible for any extra % off sale or full-price promotions that may occur at any time. The Promo-priced items are also eligible for the Educator and Student Discounts, so if you are a teacher or student you can receive an additional 15% off on them, as well.

The promo-prices are usually in effect for a week or two (sometimes longer), then they either go back up to full-price or move on into Sale. I have noted the majority of the Women's Promo-priced items currently available on the J.Crew website, as well as the items that were previously on promo, but have been marked down (please note that the items ending in $.99 are the ones that have been marked down further from Promo-price and are now at sale price).

Have a lovely day, and Happy Shopping! :)

xoxo,

  1. Hi FFM,

I wanted to give my review of the Tommy Hilfiger Blackwatch plaid trench coat that you picked as a favorite of the Macy's F&F sale. I received the coat today and am really pleased! I ordered it in Medium and Large and although Medium fit well in the body, the shoulders and arms would not allow for anything but a thin sweater underneath. Thankfully since it's a belted trench, I can go with the Large to accommate for a thicker sweater and with it tied it looks good. I wear a 6 or 8 in a perfect shirt from the Crew for referance and have this "too big shoulders and arms" problem with almost every line. Now about the coat. It's a larger scale plaid than the J. Crew blackwatch slim trench, which I like, since I'm 5'9" it works for me. The plaid on each side of the collar is perfectly matched as it is on the caplet on the back. The plaid looks well placed over the entire coat. The belt is very long to facilitate tying, which is how I wear my trenches. Nice buttons, a hook at the collar and detail belts at the hem of sleeve for a nice couture look. And the sleeves aren't too long! Nicely lined....all around very very happy with it. The fabric is a wool/poly blend, but it's very substantial and feels like a thick wook coat to me, but not so thick it's uncomfortable. It's wooly...if you know what I mean. The J. Crew coat was a finer fabric, but for $400+ I would expect that. I would call the Tommy coat more of a all around outdoor coat, casual but with style. I can see it worn with jeans, cords, wool skirts. It falls above my knee about as pictured on the model. Thank you so much for directed me to this coat! And since I got it almost 50% off, I'm pretty happy. I wish my Macy's would carry more of the Tommy line. I LOVE the current magazine ads and would like to try more items!

  2. Hi FFM: I thought you might know the answer to this query since you keep such close track of JCrew pricing: do you know if the pecan Little Edie was marked down? It seems to have disappeared from the website and lots of colors were marked down (not just promo)... but I can't find a record of it anywhere!

    1. Hi Margaret! The Little Edie is online right now, and the pecan isn't showing up in the sale section (or the regular section), so I'm not sure. The blue, grey, and gold are marked down though. Sorry I couldn't be of more help this morning, but I will continue to keep an eye out for the pecan for you. I can email you if it shows up...just let me know. :)
