Review: Mossimo Supply Co. Kaelyn Ankle Boot

Hello everyone! I hope you are all doing well, and enjoying your week so far! Today I have another 'Fabulous Find' to share with you! It is for the Mossimo Supply Co. Kaelyn Ankle Boot from Target. I spotted these in my local Target store back in October (they were already at a discounted price), and decided to give them a try since I was looking for a pair of neutral-colored ankle boots. The Taupe shade of the boot looked as if it would 'fit the bill', and I'm really glad I tried them...not only do they look much better IRL, but they are very comfortable to wear, too. As a matter of fact, I also purchased them in the Black colorway, too. :)

The description on the Target website reads:

Sizing: Junior
Features: Tagless Footbed, Pull-Loops, Cushioned Insole
Boot Style: Ankle
Boot Shaft Height: Approximately 3.5"
Boot Shaft Circumference: Approximately 10"
Upper Material: Faux Suede
Outsole Material: Thermoplastic Rubber
Insole Material: Faux Leather
Lining Material: Textile, Faux Leather
Sole Style: Non-Skid Tread on Toe and Heel
Closure Style: Side Zipper
Toe Style: Round Toe
Heel: Approximately 2" Block

(You can see the boot on the website here).

Here is a picture of them IRL taken without the camera flash.

The side view:

The color is an almost perfect match to the taupe shade in my Equipment Python-print Blouse...

This is the outfit I wore with the blouse and boots just the other day...

As I mentioned before, the boots are very comfortable to wear. In fact, I have worn them numerous times to run errands, and once when taking an evening walk with my husband, and have not experienced any discomfort whatsoever.

Here are the Black pair IRL. They are equally fabulous and comfortable:

The Side View once again:

The 2" heel height is perfect for giving a bit of lift, and the inside zipper makes them easy to get on and off. I would say they run True-To-Size, as my normal size 9.5 fits well, without any pinching or discomfort. They also remind me of a less expensive alternative to the Isabel Marant Dicker Boot, J.Crew Aggie ankle boots in suede, and Sam Edelman 'Petty' Suede Ankle Bootie

All in all I would say the Mossimo Supply Co. Kaelyn Ankle Boot are a definite winner, and a really great deal for the price, too...highly recommend! :)

That's it for now...have a lovely day!

xoxo,

  1. I am wearing mine out!! Wish I had thought to buy a second pair since I got them for $8.49!! They are my most worn booties this fall. I really wanted them in black too but never found them, so I bought a similar black pair at Kohl's I have yet to wear. Maybe I can still get black online - I need to take a look. Thanks for a great review - I second that they are totally worth it - even at full price!!

    1. Hi Peggy! I just knew you would have them AND that you got them for a steal! I hope you're able to get the black pair. They really are equally nice, and I agree they are totally worth full price, too! :)

  2. I have and love these boots in the taupe. The 2" heel on these versus the 3" heel on the more expensive versions was the deal maker for me. The only drawback is that the heel looks a tad cheap; however, when you have them on they are far enough away for it not to be noticable. No one is going to have their eyes close enough to see those details.

    Have a great holiday, FFM!

    1. Hi Generation Kvetch! It's so good to see you again, and I hope you have been well! Excellent point about the heel. I agree that it does look a tad cheap, but like you said, it's not noticeable when you have them on. Especially if you just wear them with jeans or long pants like I do. :)

  3. What a great review. I have been looking for a pair of gray booties and these are right up my alley. I love how you paired yours with the snakeprint top. Always a plus that they are comfortable too! Heather

    1. Thank you Style Journey! The color of the boots is a Taupey Grey. I have noticed that they seem to take on the appearance of either color depending on what you wear them with. It is indeed such a plus when they not only look good, but are comfortable too...not to mention inexpensive. :)
