Yes Please!!!

How adorable is this dress? Such a pretty and feminine silhouette, not to mention that it is perfect for the warm and 'lazy' days of summer. I actually had the opportunity to try this on at Anthropologie this week, and have to say that I am in love with it! The embroidery is beautiful, as are the little button details at the bustline, and it has a removable slip, as well. It definitely has a bit of a 'boho' feel to it, but I love that during the summertime. :)

The description on the Anthropologie website reads:

Beautifully embroidered and light as early spring air, an enchanting cotton frock from Vanessa Virginia.
  • Removable slip
  • Button front
  • Cotton; cotton lining
  • Machine wash
  • Regular: 36"L
  • Petite: 33"L
  • Imported
I tried on both the size 0 and 2, and although the 0 fit nicely, it was a bit too short for my own personal comfort. The length on the size 2 was perfect (hitting just above my knee), and the rest of the dress fit nicely without being too large.

I envision wearing the dress with a pair of flat sandals or flip-flops, gold hoop earrings, gold bangles, and a gold or cognac colored handbag...effortless and casually chic. This one is definitely on my list. :)

A Little This, A Little That...

Love This...

And This...

So Adorable...

This Too...

Anyone else a fan of MasterChef? Well...I love watching the show, and actually have an Anthropologie sighting from one of the episodes for you! It comes from the episode where the Top 15 compete in the Crab challenge. Helene Leeds wore the green Maeve Beda dress from Anthropologie on the show...

I have the white version of the dress, which I wore to run errands and make a trip to the market back in April...after all, a pretty dress can make any errand or event much more pleasant. ;) I shared all the details in this post.

While my three youngest boys have been enjoying VBS all week, I took the opportunity to visit a few of my favorite retailers...J.Crew, Anthropologie, and the Kate Spade Outlet store. While at J.Crew I had the opportunity to try a few things on...how fun!

The first item that caught my eye was the Dizzy Anchors dress. (You may remember me mentioning it in this post back at the beginning of the month, as being one of the New Arrivals pieces that I was interested in.) The dress is really cute in person, and the quality is good, too. I feel it runs slightly large. My 'normal' J.Crew dress size is a 0 or 2, but the size 00 fit the best in this particular dress. This one is on my watch list, as I love the silhouette (I would love to see the dress offered in a solid color or a plaid), and think the anchor print would be cute for our numerous stays on the Gulf Coast during the spring and summer months. (You can see the dress here on Rose, and here on AppGal)

Perfect shirt in chambray polka dot. This one is also good quality and very cute in person...ended up being a purchase for me. (Note: this is currently price $78 in stores, while it is $88 online.) It looks great with white capris or denim now, and will easily transition into fall and winter paired with a black skirt and knee boots, or black pants, as well as other colors such as winter white, charcoal grey, and navy blue. If you are currently wearing the colored pants trend, it looks adorable with red, too. (You can see the shirt here on ajc, here on AppGal, and here on Slastena.)

Ella dress in porcelain paisley. I feel this one runs on the normal to large side, as the size 2 fit me well, and that is the larger of my two J.Crew dress sizes. I have read reports that it is now $139 in stores, and that is before the extra 30% off discount.

Café capri in safari cat: These are actually quite cute in person, and fit true-to-size (the 2 fit me best, and that is my 'normal' café capri size). Unfortunately for me, the café capri silhouette is just not flattering for my body shape, so I did not bring them home with me. However, had they been in a different pant style, I would have considered them, especially at the in-store price of $34.99 before the additional 30% off. (You can see the pants here on Slastena.)

Speaking of J.Crew...there was a 'switch-up' on the Promo-price items again this week. Some new items have been marked to promo-price, while others have gone back to regular-price or marked down to sale price, so I've updated both the Women's and Men's lists. You can see the updated Women's Promo-priced items list here, and the updated Men's Promo-priced items list here. :)

Here are a few of the outfits I've worn on my shopping/errand running excursions this week...

That's it for now...

So what have you been up to this week? Any special plans for the upcoming weekend? Please do share! I always love to hear from you!:)
