Another Spring and Summer of Maxi Dresses...

Maxi Dresses...oh how I love them! They are feminine and flowy, come in a wide variety of prints, colors, and styles, hide a multitude of imperfections, and to top it all off, they are incredibly comfortable to wear, too.

In fact, one of the things I look forward to most about the spring and summer is that I get to take my maxi dresses out of hibernation to wear them again. Here is a peek at just a handful of mine...

This photo was taken awhile ago, but I will be wearing this same outfit again this year.

This photo is from last summer, and I am looking forward to wearing the dress again this year.

Another thing to love about maxi dresses is that they are available at all different price points to fit all types of budgets. I have done some online 'window shopping' for maxi dresses, and have listed several that I think look promising. Take a peek and let me know what you think. :)

*Presley Sky Print Silk Maxi Dress
*Three Dots V-Neck Jersey Maxi Dress - I ordered this one in the Teal Surf colorway earlier this week, and it is due to arrive today...can't wait!
*Ark & Co. Floral Maxi Dress
*Collette by Collette Dinnigan Printed silk maxi dress
*Trina Turk Amrita Maxi
*Johnny Was Collection Printed Georgette Maxi Dress
*Anthropologie Pakpao Maxi Dress
*Anthropologie Striped Empire Day Dress
*Anthropologie Sapelo Maxi Dress

What are your thoughts on maxi dresses? Do you love them as much as I do, or are they a 'no-go' for you? Do you own any of the dresses I have listed? Are you planning to buy a new maxi dress this year, or perhaps try one for the first time? Please do share! I always love to hear from you! :)

xoxo,

  1. I love them too, FFM. I haven't purchased a new one this year. I have several in my closet from past summers though and like you I look forward to pulling them out. It's such an easy way to dress for a warm day. A maxi, some cute flat sandals, maybe a little jewelry, and I'm out the door

    1. Hi Desert Flower! They really are perfect for our climates, aren't they? I find myself wearing them repeatedly all spring and summer long. Like you said, so easy to just throw on with some jewelry, sandals, a great bag and head out the door.

    1. Hi ina! I love the way they look on you! :)

I almost passed on the Raj Paisley because it's shorter than the ones I normally wear, but am really glad I did get it in the end. You should post on the JCA looking to find thread about it to see if anyone is interested in selling theirs. You never know, you may have great luck finding one! :)

  3. I have several which I'll wear this summer. They are so easy to wear...I just need to be sure they are not too voluminous because I am short.
    Have a lovely weekend.

    1. Hi Jennifer! Oh, I am sure that they look lovely on you! I completely understand what you mean about some of them being too voluminous, though. Luckily there are plenty of different options out there. Enjoy your weekend! :)

  5. I love maxi dresses, and just pulled out a few that I can pair with a denim jacket while it's still chilly. They're my go-to in the summer as well. I found a cotton voile one last summer that is so light and airy, but lined so it's not see-through -- perfection! Love your collection FFM. Hope all is well and that you have a great weekend!

    1. Thanks M! I love maxi dresses worn with denim jackets, too. I have a cropped one from Anthro that pairs perfectly with them. I'll be looking forward to seeing pics of your dresses in the months to come. Enjoy your weekend! :)
