Outfit Post: What I Wore...

Hello everyone! I hope you are having a lovely weekend so far! I have been sharing pics of what I've been wearing each day on my Instagram page again this past week, so I thought I'd also share them here on my blog. A sort of 'Outfit Post Recap', if you will, for those who want the details of each look, who do not follow me on Instagram, or possibly do not even use it at all.

On Monday-Friday of every week, my days look something like this...I get up extra early so that I can work for several hours (I work from home) before the rest of the family gets up. Then I fix breakfast for everyone, teach school lessons to my four boys, followed by taking my eldest son Jake to and from Biology class, running any errands that need to be done, taking Wyatt to physical therapy on Tuesdays and Thursdays, as well as taking Garrett to speech therapy on Thursday.

My afternoons are spent finishing any work projects that did not get completed, catching up on domestic chores, and then fixing dinner for the family. Wednesday evenings the boys all go to their children's and youth groups at church, so my hubby and I drop them off, enjoy some quality time together, and then pick them up later that evening.

Here are the outfits I wore this past week...

11.9.14: - Sunday church service. Cold and rainy with temps in the upper 30's. It did snow later in the evening once the temps dropped.

*Not shown in the photo, but I also wore my J.Crew Lady Day Coat in black

11.10.14: - Temps in the lower 30's with snow at times. The whole family made the trip to Kalispell because Wyatt had an appointment to have his leg brace adjusted. While we were there we ran a few errands and did a bit of shopping.
(You can see the cute trapper hat and candles that I bought in this post.)

11.15.14: - High temp of 17 degrees...just hanging out at home. Zane and Wyatt both have colds, so we had them take it easy and rest up. I'm trying to get some of my clothing items listed on Ebay this weekend, so I took pics of them, did laundry, cooked, and also worked on this blog post.
After dinner we all settled in for another Doctor Who Marathon, as we have quite a bit of catching up to do for this latest season. I have to say, that even though David Tennant is my all-time favorite Doctor, I am quite enjoying Peter Capaldi in the role. Btw, how adorable are Clara's (Jenna Coleman's) outfits? The stylist for the show really does a fantastic job, IMO.

Outfit Details:

*J.Crew Vintage slim jeans in rustic wash - Similar here and here

    1. Thanks Anthro Blogger! We are definitely much more settled since finding a house earlier this summer, getting involved in a new church, etc. It's really nice to finally feel 'at home'. :)

  2. melissa i adore each and every outfit. i can't believe how busy you are and still manage to look amazing. i can see that beautiful clothing must be a nice escape for you! not that you need to escape but after looking after so many it must feel good to think about yourself. i hope i'm conveying this correctly! i will look for you on insta too.

also, btw, i wound up wearing just what you suggested. the black vintage with my vintage boots. it was perfect b/c all i did was run around, cooking, cleaning, etc etc. that Tory Burch dress would have been ruined or behind an apron. i'm so glad i took your advice! xoxo
