Shopping Simplified @ Madewell: Extra 30% Promo-Priced Items & Sale Styles + Free Shipping on All Orders - MAKEWAVES!!!

Hello everyone! It's time for another All Things Simplified Shopping post, where I take the work out of sale shopping for you! My 'simplified shopping' posts will include information on the deal or % off, promo-priced items, and/or sale markdowns, and/or my personalized picks for retailers that are running current sale promotions. This time the simplified shopping is at Madewell...

Madewell is offering an Extra 30% Off Promo-Priced Items & Sale Styles with code MAKEWAVES at checkout until 6.29.14. Shipping is FREE on ALL Orders, too...YAY! I absolutely love Madewell, personally. The casual-vibe of their clothing works well with my lifestyle, and the prices are often more affordable than a lot of the retailers offering similar styles. The quality has been good on all the items I have ordered, and the pieces are all holding up very well so far. If you haven't ever ordered from Madewell, you should definitely consider giving them a try. :)

They have done a 'switch-up' on the Promo-priced items at Madewell this week...a lot of new items have been marked to promo-price, while others have gone back to regular-price or marked down to sale price (making them final sale).

For those of you who aren't familiar with Promo-priced items, they are select Regular-price pieces that Madewell marks down to a 'Promotional Price' for a short amount of time. These items are eligible for any extra % off sale or full-price promotions that may occur at any time. The Promo-priced items are also eligible for the Educator and Student Discounts, so if you are a teacher or student you can receive an additional 15% off on them, as well.

The promo-prices are usually in effect for a week or two (sometimes longer), then they either go back up to full-price or move on into Final Sale. I have noted the majority of the Promo-priced items currently available on the Madewell website, as well as the items that have recently been marked down. :)

Cooking Simplified: Gluten-Free Coconut Flour Blueberry Muffins

As I mentioned in this post two weeks ago, I have been going to the local Farmer's Market every Friday morning to browse the merchants' stands, pick up fresh vegetables and meat from the local farmers, and to enjoy the fresh homemade baked goods.

At one of the stands selling the fresh baked items, there is always a delicious gluten-free coconut flour blueberry muffin that I get for my breakfast (along with a cup of tea) each Friday morning. Now because I do enjoy the muffin immensely, I decided to find a recipe online to make it myself, and came across this one, which I plan to try out in the near future...

Gluten-Free Coconut Flour Blueberry Muffins

Ingredients:

-1/2 cup of Coconut Flour
-4 ½ tablespoons of Coconut Oil
-6 Organic Eggs
-4 tablespoons of milk (coconut milk, etc. or if can have dairy) or water
-1/2 teaspoon Apple Cider Vinegar
-1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda
-1/4 teaspoon Baking Powder
-1 teaspoon Cinnamon
-1/4 teaspoon sea salt
-2 tablespoons Raw Honey or Stevia (optional)
-1/2 cup of blueberries

Instructions:

1. Combine all wet ingredients into a large bowl
2. Combine all dry ingredients in a separate bowl
3. Mix together wet and dry ingredients
4. Add fruit and stir
5. Pour the batter into muffin pans
6. Bake at 400 degrees for 10-15 minutes

Have you tried this gluten-free muffin recipe? If so, how did the muffins turn out? Do you have any other gluten-free muffin recipes you recommend? Please do share...I always love to hear from you!

Have a lovely day! :)

Shopping Simplified @ Lands' End - 30% Off Your Order + Free Shipping on $50+ & Lots of Pretty Items to Love, Too!!!

This time the simplified shopping is at Lands' End...

Lands' End is offering an Extra 30% Off your order with code PICNIC pin 2524 at checkout until 6.23.14.

This is a great deal, and if you haven't taken a look at Lands' End lately, you really should! There are SO many cute things there right now, and the quality of their merchandise is very good, in my experience. However, if for some reason an item does not work out, it can be returned by mail, or to any Sears Department store at any time, since every item is guaranteed unconditionally.

From the Lands' End website:

The Lands' End guarantee has always been an unconditional one. It reads: "If you're not satisfied with any item, simply return it to us at any time for an exchange or refund of its purchase price." We mean every word of it. Whatever. Whenever. Always. But to make sure this is perfectly clear, we've decided to simplify it further. Guaranteed. Period.®

Click HERE to see just what they have to offer, and check out my picks below:

Are you planning on taking advantage of the extra 30% off? Have you placed an order already? Is there any item or items you would recommend? Please do share...I always love to hear from you!

Have a lovely day, and Happy Simplified Sale Shopping! :)

Simplified Style...Pretty Little Dresses

Pretty Little Dresses...I love them. They bring to mind images of Audrey Hepburn, Jackie O., Grace Kelly, and Elizabeth Taylor. A time of glamour and ultimate femininity for women...no desire to *borrow from the boys*, but to simply embrace the joy of being a girl, and all that goes with it.

I personally love wearing dresses...they make me feel extra feminine and girly. In most cases (depending on the dress) they can be just as comfortable as wearing pants or jeans, too. It's really just a matter of getting used to wearing them on a regular basis, IMO. :)

Fortunately today there are many retailers offering pretty little dresses for those of us who do still love them and want to wear them. They range from day dresses, to party dresses, to maxidresses, and at all different price ranges, so if you're looking for one, there are many to choose from.

Take a peek at personal picks...

How do you feel about dresses? Do you wear them often? Have you found any lately that you absolutely adore? I'd love to hear your thoughts...

Yes Please!!!

One of the things we have been looking forward to the most from our move to Montana is the hiking. There seems to be a hiking trail just about anywhere you look here, the scenery is gorgeous everywhere you go, not to mention that it is really nice to 'unplug', get away from town, and enjoy all that nature has to offer.

Now coming from central Florida we did not have many places close to us to do much hiking, not to mention that most of the year it is just too hot to really enjoy going. Living in Montana is a completely different story however, so I have been on the search for a really good pair of hiking boots to hit the trail with, and think I may have found them...the Ahnu 'Montara' Boot.

I had the opportunity to try a pair of them on last week at the Cabela's in Kalispell, and fell in love from the first step. They are very comfortable on, excellent quality, waterproof, have a rugged outsole for extra traction and durability, feature the famous Numentum™ technology which provides stability and support in the instep, they run true-to-size, come in a variety of colors, and the online reviews are very favorable overall...I think that I have finally found the hiking boot for me!

What are your thoughts on the Ahnu 'Montara' Boot? Do you own it, or have you tried it on? If so, would you recommend it? If not, what other brand and style of hiking boot would you recommend? Please do share...I always love to hear from you! :)

Have a lovely day!
