A Little This, A Little That...

Love This...

And this...

Absolutely Stunning...

This Too...

Yes Please...

And These...

Guess I could describe myself as a Procaffinator, and you?

This was our table setting for Thanksgiving Dinner last year...
I'll do something similar again this year, I'm sure.

I know I keep saying this, but I am still having a hard time believing that Thanksgiving is here again already. Perhaps because our weather has been much warmer this fall than it was last year? Perhaps due to the fact that time seems to pass by more quickly the older that I get? Perhaps it's a combination of the two? Irregardless, I am looking forward to Thanksgiving Day, and all that it entails. I'm pretty sure our menu will be about the same as it was last year...the traditional Turkey, along with Durkee's green bean casserole, corn, homemade mashed potatoes, gravy, sweet potato casserole , and rolls. Dessert will include pumpkin pie and possibly even carrot cake...yum!

Speaking of having different weather last year...here are a few pics I took on November 2, 2014. It was our first snowfall of the season, and we had gotten quite a bit of it, too.
Oh how much fun the boys did have playing in it that day! It was a bit like a Winter Wonderland...

It's almost here...

Do you go out to fight the crowds on Black Friday?
Last year was the first year ever that I have gone out to a store on Black Friday, and that's only because we live in a very small town now, so the crowds and lines were minimal. Normally I do the majority of my Black Friday and Christmas shopping online, and have done so ever since my first son was born. There really are tons of great sales and deals to be found online, so if you can shop in your jammies from the convenience of your own home, I say why not?
I had the boys make out their Christmas lists this past weekend so that I can figure out my shopping strategy for this year, and hopefully get it all taken care of within the next week, or so. :)

Speaking of Holiday shopping...

I am trying something new here on the blog this year.
I am going to be sharing a few Holiday Gift Guides with you coming up later this week, so I hope you'll be sure to stop in and take a peek!

That's it for now...have a lovely day! :)

  1. The picture of the coffee drinker, that's me, pass the huge coffee... so many good things in this post including your table from last year, and the 2014 first snow! We just had our first snowfall yesterday, a bit late for us. It's been unusually warm here as well.
I did some Christmas shopping in October to send out to my family, my brother lives in the far north and a box can take a month to reach him, that was mailed out early November. I do have to shop for my children but this year we are getting back into the ski season so they'll get some new equipment from us. I'll still add in a few small things though, I'm looking forward to your gift guides! XO

    1. Hi Dani! Yes, the coffee drinker with the huge coffee is definitely me, as well! I had given it up for quite awhile, but then started drinking it again last year...really quite the guilty pleasure, I suppose.

It sounds like you and your family are going to have a blast this winter with your ski season. I have not yet adventured onto the slopes, but may give it a try this year. I would at least like to be able to do some cross-country skiing.

Enjoy your week, and thanks for stopping by! :)

  2. I am drinking coffee even as I type this. I drink a cup or two a day, then switch to green tea. The morning cannot start without coffee though!

That first outfit Melissa, perfection. I have jeans like that. I need the other pieces. You always find the most chic outfits.

I will be happily at home on Black Friday. I do some Cyber Monday shopping. The bulk of my Christmas shopping is done thankfully.

    1. Hi Desert Flower! I also love that first outfit, and plan on recreating the look. I think I may have the majority of what I need already...just have to delve into the wardrobe archives to confirm. :)

Enjoy your Thanksgiving, as well as your day at home on Friday. Long weekends are the best, aren't they? I still have the majority of my Christmas shopping to do, but the boys are fairly easy to shop for, so I don't imagine it will be too bad this year. Thanks for stopping by!

  3. Beautiful outfits Melissa! I especially love #2. Could you please put them on Pinterest so I can pin them on to my boards. Happy belated anniversary; mine falls on Thanksgiving this year. I will be home on Black Friday; I never venture out on that day but I will stop by a few stores in my village on small business Saturday. Be well, Hugs, Dawn

    1. Thanks Dawn! I did get them pinned this morning...they are in my 'Love This' board. Thank you for the Happy Anniversary wishes! I hope you and your hubby have a wonderful and happy one, as well! Glad to know I'm not the only one who will be home on Black Friday. I know a whole lot of people that go out that day, and have often felt as if I'm the only one who doesn't. Enjoy your shopping on Saturday, and have a very Happy Thanksgiving! :)
