Madewell New Arrival Picks - What I'm Loving...

Madewell added new arrivals to their website yesterday...another round of really nice items, and plenty to love again this time, too.

As I've mentioned many times before, I absolutely love Madewell. The casual-vibe of their clothing works well with my lifestyle, the styling on the website stays more to the understated side, the prices are often more affordable than a lot of the retailers offering similar styles, and I love that they always offer Free Shipping on ALL orders, too. The quality has been good on all the items I have ordered, and the pieces are all holding up very well so far. (I've shared pics of me wearing a couple of the jackets on my Instagram.)

If you haven't ever ordered from Madewell, you should definitely consider giving them a try...I think you will be pleasantly surprised at how much you like them, too.
Click here to check out the new arrivals, and be sure to take a peek at my personal picks below. :)

What I'm Loving...
*Silk Memory Blouse in Stencil Blossom - love the length, color, tiny flower print, and smocking details, not to mention that it's silk.

*Striped Open Cardigan Sweater - I am always a sucker for long, oversized cardigans, and this one is no exception...would love to see it in solid colors, too.

*Oversized Boyshirt in Mini Gingham Check - once again, I love the longer tunic length. Even though I don't wear many prints or checks myself, I can't help but loving the smaller gingham checks. Plus the shirt is done in my favorite colors, and the contrast print on the sleeves and placket are adorable.

*Flannel Zip-Front Popover Shirt in McKinney Plaid - so this one is a 'newer' item, and has gotten good reviews so far. Love the colors and silhouette...so chic, especially for a casual shirt.

*Indigo-Dyed Popover Shirt in Casey Plaid - the perfect shirt to channel your inner bohemian self. I really, really like this one, even with the larger plaid. Somehow it works for me, and is something I would absolutely wear.

*Silk Calligraphy Top - love the silhouette and embroidery detail. This one would be lovely for spring and summer with white crop pants and sandals, too.

*Silk-Edge Dolman Tee - this is another 'newer' arrival, and so very pretty! Once again, I love the longer length, and the silk panels and hem are the perfect feminine touch.

*Chambray Courier Shirt in Buckley Wash - lovely color of chambray...wear this one now over a turtleneck or long-sleeve tee, then by itself in the spring and summer paired with white or colored denim, for a casual chic look.

*Hooded Brimfield Jacket - another 'newer' item, and one that I personally have wishlisted. Love the color, the silhouette, and the fact that it has a hood.

*Cali Demi Boot Jeans in Essex Wash - great casual wash on the denim, and I love the flare at the bottom hem.

*Openweave Scarf in Toledo Plaid - I have the openweave scarf in both red plaid and navy plaid, which are super soft, so I imagine this one will be too...wouldn't mind adding it to my collection, either.

*Wide-Leg Jeans in Shea Wash - love! I have a similar pair in a darker wash, and definitely wouldn't mind adding these in the lighter wash to my wardrobe.

*Denim Pencil Skirt - the pieced details on this one make it extra special. I think it would be ultra chic worn with a blazer, turtleneck or bow blouse, and pair of knee boots.

*Skyline Skirt in Stencil Blossom - I really like the stencil blossom print, and this skirt is adorable. The wide waistband makes all the difference for creating a flattering silhouette with the full skirt. At 18" long I would definitely wear it with tights or leggings, but that's just my personal preference. :)

*Denim Trench Dress - love, love, love!!! This one is definitely on my wishlist! How adorable would it be worn with knee boots? You could also wear it open as a long jacket. The weight of the denim looks substantial from the online pics, so I'm sure this would be a piece that would last for many years to come.

*The Orson Loafer in Leopard Print - I love pretty much all things leopard, and this loafer is no exception. These are yet another 'newer' arrival, and the reviews that have been written all give the shoe a big thumbs up in quality and appearance, although they do say that the loafer runs large, so size down if you decide to get a pair.

*Chamula™ Sheep Boots - these look so cozy and warm.
Love the color and handstitched details, too.

*The Boardwalk Slide Sandal - so these are not anything I would be wearing anytime soon (we are blanketed in snow right now), but I do think they are very cute, and I especially love the english saddle colorway. For those of you who are in warmer climates, or may be taking a vacation soon, these are a great alternative to flip flops.

*Isosceles Cuff Bracelet - This is one that they seem to bring back time and again. With the 4 star rating, and fact that it's so cute, I can see why!

*Luster Circle Necklace - absolutely adorable! Love the length, and ultra feminine feel...definitely wishlisted!

*Wraparound Ring - perfect statement piece for your pointer or middle finger. I have one wishlisted in a larger size just for that reason. :)

That's it for now...what are your thoughts on the new arrivals at Madewell? Do you have your eye on anything in particular? Please do share! :)

  1. The popover in Casey Plaid looked short in the store, but I didn't try it on (and maybe I just noticed it in a small size?). I loved the plaid and the style of the top, but wished it were longer. The Orson loafer looks really nice (saw them in store too).

    1. Hi cate! It would not surprise me at all if the Casey Plaid top is indeed short. It does look that way a bit on the website model, but I was hoping that it's due to her height. I really wish they would make shirts like this one longer, not only at Madewell, but at J.Crew, too. There have been tons of tops I have passed on due to the short lengths.

  2. Hi Melissa - I saw both Denim Trench Dress and the Silk Memory Blouse in store. Didn't get to try it, but I can say that both are made well (ha!). The denim dress is thicker and not 'chambray' like. I already ordered the dress and the leopard loafers yesterday. I will post a review once I receive it.

    1. Hi JSR! That's great news about both the dress and the blouse! The denim on the dress looks to be the same as on the overall flares, and which is thick, substantial, and sturdy. I am really looking forward to your review on both the dress and the leopard loafers...they top my list of favorite new arrivals!
