Madewell New Arrival Picks - What I'm Loving...

Madewell added new arrivals to their website earlier this week...another round of really nice items, and plenty to love again this time, too.

As I've mentioned many times before, I absolutely love Madewell. The casual-vibe of their clothing works well with my lifestyle, the styling on the website stays more to the understated side, the prices are often more affordable than a lot of the retailers offering similar styles, and I love that they always offer Free Shipping on ALL orders, too. The quality has been good on all the items I have ordered, and the pieces are all holding up very well so far. (I've shared pics of me wearing a couple of the jackets on my Instagram.)

If you haven't ever ordered from Madewell, you should definitely consider giving them a try...I think you will be pleasantly surprised at how much you like them, too.
Click here to check out the new arrivals, and be sure to take a peek at my personal picks below. A couple of these are actually 'newer' arrivals that have been on the website for just a little bit, but since I haven't done a Madewell Picks post in several weeks, I decided to include them in this one. :)

What I'm Loving...

*Suede Wayfind Jacket - really like the color, suede, and retro vibe.

*Memento Fringe Cardigan Sweater - love the silhouette, and the fringe at the bottom hem is adorable. Really like both colors, but if I had to pick one I would go with the marled coal.

*Embroidered Camelia Tassel Top - I am a sucker for anything embroidered, and this top is no exception. Both colors are lovely.

*Camelia Tassel Top in Dorian Plaid - of course I love the length and peasant/boho vibe, not to mention the color and the plaid.

*Silk Garden Top in Lassi Flower - yes please!!! I absolutely love this one! Ultra feminine and perfect for layering, as well as wearing on its own this summer.

*Tunic Tee in Wavedot - a tunic with both stripes and polka dots...need I say more?

*Striped Pocket Popover Shirt - the vintage sailor stripe is one of my favorites.

*Striped Radio Tee - just add flare jeans and roller skates...lovin' the retro vibe!

*Lo-Fi Tee in Mini-Stripe - so chic with the high crewneck and stripes. This would be adorable paired with red accent pieces.

*Silk Lassi Flower Dress - that gorgeous print in dress form...so pretty. I would try wearing this dress as a tunic over jeans or wide leg pants, too.

*Title Tee Dress in Wavedot - love the color and stripe/dot combination. Wear it with tights and boots now, then pair it with sandals in the summer time.

*Sorbonne Dress in Sailor Stripe - such a lovely color combo. This one is on the shorter side, so once again, I'd wear it as a tunic.

*The Tie Transport Tote - look at the color of that red...gorgeous!!!

*The Mini Transport Crossbody in Dried Flax - loving the neutral color that can be worn with practically anything and everything.

*Indigo-Patch Scarf - such a cute mix of prints, and the blue is beautiful.

*The Dani Fringed Mule - so chic! The pointed toe and fringing are absolutely lovely...yes please!!!

*Tile Jacquard Scarf - yet another one added to my wishlist. Would love to wear this when carrying the tie transport tote above.

*Pinball Necklace - dainty, understated, and oh so pretty.

*Flora Paisley Scarf - loving this paisley print and the color combination. Also added to my wishlist.

*Wingturn Beaded Necklace - truly digging the boho/earthy vibe on this one...

*Ring Stud Earrings - so dainty, and cute. Love the geometric combo, too.

*Morocco Hinge Bracelet - really like the geometric cutouts and etched details. Not too over the top, but still gives visual interest.

*Flat Diamond Illusion Ring - I love to wear bold rings, so this is one is definitely on my radar. How cute to pair it with the ring stud earrings above.

That's it for now...what are your thoughts on the new arrivals at Madewell? Do you have your eye on anything in particular? Please do share! :)

  1. Love the silk lassi dress and top, will head to the store this weekend and see if I can try on. Was waiting to see any new colors of the Mini Transport Crossbody. I love this bag, it is perfect for me. Thanks Melissa, for reminding me to take a look, I think. You got me started on Madewell jeans and jackets and now it is quite an addiction :)

    1. I am seriously in love with that top, JRS! It would be adorable under a denim jacket or cardigan. I may have to end up ordering at full price to give it a try. Let me know if you're able to try it and the dress this weekend. I'd also love to know how the dried flax color is IRL, so look for that bag if you get the chance, too! :)

  2. Melissa. Got to the store tonight. I did try on the silk lassi top, I am usually an XS but it was too big, tried on the XXS. Not a good look, the pleats make the top just balloon out and it is completely unflattering. Overall, it is really huge, I am petite only 5' 1" but only think it would look good on someone tall with no chest. Even on the display they had the top tucked into a skirt. I did see the dress but the top is totally sheer and not something I can pull off even with a nude bra. The colors are beautiful though and the silk is very substantial on the top just the pleats are not a winner. I also tried on the tank top in strokedash, item e8959. I took the XXS into the dressing room and that was too tight across the bust and shoulders. Don't think this is something I would pay full price for, how many black and white tops can you have? They did not have the mini transport tote in the dried flax but will report back when I see it.

    1. Thanks for the update, JRS! I'm so disappointed to hear about the Lassi top! I was really hoping it was going to be a winner! I wonder if there's any way to tailor it to fit better? Of course the top would need to be purchased on super duper sale to warrant alterations, but do you think it would be possible to take it in at all?

    2. I don't think so, it is not so much the width but the volume of material and the pleats make it just stick out. I did not notice the second online picture that better describes how it looked on me.

    3. I was afraid of that, JRS. Too bad, because it's such a lovely print. Thank you for taking the time to check it out though...I really appreciate it! :)

  3. Thanks for sharing your picks. The Ring Stud earrings caught my eye, too. I'm wondering if they are so tiny, that the little charm effect of the triangle is lost IRL.
I'm really loving the Orsa print in the Courier shirt. I haven't tried any iteration of this shirt. Based on some of the reviews, I'm wondering if it is ridiculously over-sized.
Also loving the Orson Loafer and the Veranda Sleeveless sweater.

    1. Hi maryeb! The Orsa print is really cute! The courier shirt does look pretty oversized, so I would personally order one size down from my 'normal' Madewell size. The Orson loafer is adorable! Which color is your favorite? I think I'm partial to the leopard, but really, you cannot go wrong with the black or english saddle colors either, can you? Let me know what you think if you decide to give them, or the earrings a try! :)

    2. I'm thinking the english saddle. Although, I might hold out and see if they bring the d'orsay loafer back this year in a tan color. I got the black last year and absolutely love this shoe.
