A Little This, A Little That...

Love this...

And this...

Absolutely stunning...

This too...

Yes please...

These too...

Pretty much my favorite time of year...

True story...the struggle is real, my friends.

On the homefront...

A lot of changes and events have taken place for our family over the course of the past several months...job change for my hubby, visits from relatives, my eldest son's 18th birthday and enlistment into the United States Marine Corps (he leaves in November, and I am so very sad about this).
We took trips once again to Hungry Horse Reservoir & Glacier National Park (my happy place), as well as first time visits to Philipsburg, & Polebridge, to mention a few.
I'll share a bit more detail with you when I have more time...hope you'll stop back by to visit!

That's it for now...have a lovely day! :)

    1. Thanks Dani! It is definitely hurting my momma's heart to let him go, but I know it's part of the process...still isn't easy to do though!

  3. SO great to see you back blogging! LOVE the pics - as always - love your style. Thanks in advance to your son for serving our country . . . but I can only imagine as a momma how difficult that must be. I have an almost 17 year old and he has mentioned enlisting as well.

    1. Thank you so much, Elizabeth! I am very proud of him. He truly has a servant's heart, and has always wanted to join the military from the time he was a small boy. I know he is all in and ready to go, but I'm not so ready to see him go, as I'm sure you can imagine!

Btw, the EF peep toe block heels I shared above are to die for! Super comfy, excellent quality, the leather is buttery soft, and they are fabulous on your feet. I know you are also an EF fan, so I wanted to let you know in case you are in the market for a new pair of peep toe booties. :)

    2. Thanks so much for the heads up on the EF heels - yes - I am an EF fan (you have a terrific memory :-)). When I saw those, I immediately hit the Nordstrom link but unfortunately they are sold out of my size in the black. I will keep "stalking" to see if they reappear in my size or I may actually consider the Ash color. I have searched online and can't seem to locate them anywhere but Nordstrom.

    3. My size was sold out online in black, as well, so I asked the Nordstrom chat rep to check store inventory to see if my size was available anywhere. She gave me two stores to check, so I called the one in Illinois who actually did have them to ship out to me. I would say to give that a try, and hopefully you'll have good luck, too. What size are you looking for?

    4. Thanks so much for the Nordstrom tip, Melissa! I will try that tomorrow. I need a 9.5 in EF shoes.

    5. You're welcome, Elizabeth! Btw, I go between a 9.5 and 10 in most shoes, and the size 10 fit me just fine. Since your feet are enclosed in the boot, I think you may be able to go up or possibly even down a size, depending on whether or not you are a true 9.5. The black are available online in size 10 right now, if you're interested in giving them a try. :)

    6. Elizabeth - the booties in black are available online now in 9.5.

  4. Welcome back Melissa! So many beautiful images. Fall is by far my most favorite season. God bless your son; I know the next few weeks will be very important to you as you spend as much time as possible with him. Sending him & you positive thoughts. Please take care! Hugs, Dawn

    1. Thank you so much, Dawn! The days are passing by so quickly, and my time with him is fleeting, so every moment is extra precious right now. I just can't believe this time has actually finally come...seems like yesterday that we brought him home from the hospital, and now he's ready to go out and defend our nation. The time we have with our children really does pass by in the blink of an eye!
