Lattice and Chambray

Hello Everyone! I hope you are having a wonderful day! :) First off I wanted to let you know that Old Navy is having a *Get More, Save More* promotion until 3.28.10. The offer gives you 15% off a $75 purchase or 20% off a $100 purchase with the code ONSAVEBIG at checkout.

Now on to the post...I styled this set awhile ago and actually own all the pieces in it. I plan on wearing this outfit in the near future (since the weather is warming up and it is now more appropriate to wear a skirt without stockings). I love chambray and khaki together...such a pretty combination and *extra* perfect for the Spring and Summer months ahead. :)

The Details:

J.Crew Contrast-Stitch Perfect Shirt (now sold out). Similar here and here.

Old Navy Belted Trench Coat in *Rolled Outs*. Similar here and here.

J.Crew Abstract Lattice Pencil Skirt...this is from a previous season and no longer available. The Factory Stores were making them so you may be able to find one there, or else you could substitute it with a solid white skirt, as well as a solid or printed black, brown, navy, or khaki skirt.

Monet Gold Hoop Earrings purchased at Macy's (not available online), similar here and here.

Ann Taylor Chain and Jewel Tiered Necklace, similar here and here.

Isaac Mizrahi Live Perfect Crystal Bold Stretch Bracelet, similar here and here.
Aviator Sunglasses, similar here and here.

Kork Ease *Bette* Wedge Sandal in Natural. Similar here and here in Natural.

J.Crew Large Metallic Gallery Hobo in Pale Gold, similar here.

Have a beautiful and blessed day!

  1. Lovely! I'll definitely be copying this set as I have the skirt and top, and now the Bette sandals too, which I'm pretty sure I'll keep. The more I think about it, I feel like I can get over the height issue. They really are a fabulous shoe. Have a great day, FFM!

  2. FFM

did you see this article about Polyvore in the NewYorker?

  3. I love the lattice skirt. I wish I'd snagged that color when it was still available, but I got the orange one instead since I love me some orange! Unfortunately I haven't worn it AT ALL...because I then gained weight and it had just fit when I bought it. Hopefully soon I'll be able to squeeze back into it!

  4. FFM: Thanks for this set, I never thought to put the chambray with the lattice...looks great! I have a question for you....I have to wear suiting for work and I also piece together alot of skirt/blazer combinations. I have the lattice print skirt in this set and I have the chambray khaki suiting (jacket, pants, dress) from last fall...the lattice print skirt and the chambray khaki blazer are almost a perfect match I would like to add them into my summer suiting rotation; however, I cannot figure out what color/style of tops to put under the blazer...I prefer sleeveless in the summer under a jacket...can you please give me some suggestions for tops, accessories, shoes to pull this look together for work?? I'd be so greatful.....THX!

  5. This is a great combination, FFM! I really like it.

  6. Thank you Patina and Shopmom!

ISABELLA: Thank you so much for that article...what a very interesting and informative read! :)

Nicole: I would love to have the Lattice Skirt in the is also so very pretty. I hope you get to wear yours soon. :)

    Thank you Desert Flower! :)

Have a wonderful weekend ladies! :)

  7. Hi Jordyn! I would be more than happy to help you! I'll work on a set or two for you this weekend. :)

  8. FFM: Thanks so much! Can't wait to see them.

  9. If anyone doesn't want to drop $135 on the Kork-Ease (believe me, I would if I could) Nine West has a cute option. I purchased the Nine West Gleamy ( dark Natural and they are adorable and comfortable! They were $79.

  10. Hi Washington Mom! Thank you so much for stopping by and sharing your fabulous find. The Nine West Gleamy is supercute and what a great price, too! :)

    Have a beautiful Sunday!

  11. Jordyn: I just finished a couple of sets with the Lattice skirt and Chambray Khaki Jacket (I actually substituted the Nouvelle jacket from this year for it since I didn't have a pic). Besides the 2 colors of tops in the sets, I think that black would look very pretty, as well as red, coral, mustard yellow, *cinnamon spice*, sepia, turquoise, navy, brown...your possibilities are numerous. Click here and here for the sets I styled to give you ideas. :)

  12. FFM: Thank you so much....I love both of these sets and am going to try to piece the looks together with a few items that I have in my wardrobe...I will let you know how they turn out....THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

  13. omg love this look!! def going to try something similar!!
