*Fabulous Find Friday*

Hello my Dear Readers! I hope you're having a great day and looking forward to a fun-filled weekend. :) Today is Friday, and that means it's time for *Fabulous Find Friday*, where I showcase products that a) I have tried and highly recommend, or b) I have come across amazing deals on and want to share with you.

But first, I'd love to hear if any of you were able to make a purchase during the Gilt Groupe sale today? I ended up with nothing. zero. zilch., and it was NOT for lack of trying, either! The instant I tried to put the Mulberry Black Patent Satchel in my cart is was already SOLD OUT...UGH!!! {Sigh} Looks like I'll just have to wait until the line is released in the Target stores...

So on to this week's *Fabulous Find*...bit of an odd story behind it, actually. Yesterday in the mail I received the "Every Day with Rachael Ray" magazine, which I have never subscribed to (at least not knowingly), and was addressed to me, and not "Current Resident". Anyways, I started to browse through it and came across a page called "Every Day Faves Style".

Of course the striped shirt and metallic bag immediately caught my eye, and then as I continued to read about each item I became very excited to see these:

They are the Instant Button® For Jeans by KTR. They were invented by Dana Hanh Contey, who writes on her website:

"I am the mom inventor of the patent pending Instant Button®. Instant Button® is the original removable and reusable button that allows you to add or reduce your pants size instantly for that tailored fit, without requiring a belt or an alteration.

I designed the Instant Button® to solve the common problems that impact the waistline and therefore, the fit of the waistband. Whether you lose weight; you gained weight; you have that embarrassing gap in the back, or a missing button, the Instant Button® is your solution. No sewing needed.

The idea for Instant Button® started after my third child. I was constantly adjusting the waistband of my favorite jeans' because I was stuck in-between sizes. I tried using belts to secure my jeans, but it was bulky and added another layer of thickness to my waist. Then, I tried using safety pins to shrink the waistband. After months of poking my fingers and body with the pins, I knew that I was on a mission to find a solution.

In the Summer of 2007, I had my "Ah-ha!" moment.

With inspiration from the guests on the Donny Deutsch show, "The Big Idea," I launched the Instant Button® on October 17, 2008.

No matter the situation, with Instant Button® is your solution. You will never need to use a safety pin for a perfect fit, again!

With thanks and kind regards,

Dana Hanh Contey
Mom Inventor & Founder"

I am really excited to try these out, and ordered a set of them earlier this morning. The issue I plan to use them for is the waist gaping, since jeans and pants that fit my hips and thighs tend to be too large at my waist. I'm hoping the Instant Button® will be the answer to my dilemma. I think these could also work for women who have the opposite issue...thin thighs, but have to size up due to a slightly larger waist. Perhaps with the Instant Button® you could size down for a smaller leg opening, and use the button to extend the waistband to fit. :)

I think these would also be great for expectant mothers in their first trimester who need extra room at the waistline of their non-maternity jeans. (I used to use a rubber-band to extend the waistband during my pregnancies, and wish these had been available back then.) The Instant Button® could also be used after the baby is born when you can't quite get back into your pre-pregnancy jeans and still need some extra tummy room. :)

So what do you think about the Instant Button®? Have you already tried them? Do you plan on getting a set? Please do share.

Have a beautiful and blessed day! :)

  1. Not sure who really got a fair chance at purchasing on Gilt today. Their site's lack of functionality during high-volume traffic I find to be very unprofessional (there are ways to combat the high traffic with proper servers, etc.). The "wait list" button does not even function, nor can I link to "my account" before it times out. This was my first time trying to purchase on Gilt, and undoubtedly my last.

  2. Ooh, love the idea of an instant button! As an hourglass I find most items are too big in the waist, and those would help.

On a related note, Levis has just launched a line of jeans designed for different body types, so I'm looking forward to ordering a pair in the "bold curve" line designed for the hourglass figure.

  3. Just saw your comment on the instant buttons, and wanted to let you know I saw them at Dollar Tree in Sarasota area. You might want to check stores in your area.

  4. Hey ladies, I wanted to follow-up regarding the instant buttons. They are absolutely FANTASTIC!!! I have used one just about every day I wear a pair of jeans and they are now a must have for me. I've also heard they sell them at Walgreen's, but it may be the off brand that they are now selling on television, and not the originals. I'm not sure how those would work, but the original Instant Buttons are excellent. :)
