Target: Fall 2010 Trend Accessories Collection

Happy Thursday my Fabulous Followers! I hope you are having a fantastic week so far. I personally cannot believe it's Thursday already. Today is my eldest son's 12th birthday, so I want to say a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY *E*! He is such a blessing to his father and me. He is a loving, caring, and helpful young man, and we are both extremely proud of him. :) Needless to say, my week has been very busy planning and preparing for today's celebration, thus the lack of posting and delay in commenting. Today will of course be equally busy, but filled with fun as we celebrate the day he came into this world and into our lives forever changing them for the better. :)

Now on to today's post. In case you didn't know, Target recently released their Fall 2010 Trend Accessories Collection preview, and I have to say there are numerous cute pieces to look forward to. As we have discussed many times before, Target continues to offer *on trend* and *look-a-like* items at very affordable prices.

From the pressroom on the Target website:

"Target Continues to Deliver Spectacular Style at Low Prices with the Fall 2010 Trend Accessories Collection

MINNEAPOLIS (July 2010) – Target offers a wide variety of stylish accessories this season, allowing women to update fall wardrobes with ease at wallet-friendly prices. Animal prints, stud embellishments and bursts of color are seen throughout all categories.

Statement jewelry is all the rage again this season and Target offers a variety of on-trend pieces at a great value. Clean black and white watches in oversized shapes provide a fresh update to classic styles. Taking inspiration from the time of year, chunky necklaces are adorned with fall colored-jewels and gold leaf embellishments. Rock n’ roll inspires chain bracelets and leather cuffs, while cameo pendants and oversized gems provide a vintage vibe.

Animal prints make a return, adorning all handbags from hobos to clutch wallets. Stud, sequin and zipper embellishments continue to decorate bags for a rocker edge. Materials are revamped to include denim and patent faux-snakeskin for unexpected animation on satchels and large over-night bags.

Hats and scarves provide the perfect transition into the cool autumn weather, and Target offers an array of fashionable options without breaking the bank. Engineer caps and menswear-inspired fedoras are available in an array of materials, including tweeds and plaids and are embellished with feminine details of flower appliqu├ęs and printed bands. Scarves in animal prints, bright plaids and hombre patterns add a finishing touch to any ensemble.

Belts provide the perfect, inexpensive solution to any outfit. Whether paired with jeans and a tee or cinching flowy frocks, they offer a fun and functional way to accessorize. Styles with stud embellishments and embossed patterns are perfect for a relaxed, bohemian feel, while classic black straps and chain belts offer a more traditional look.

Flats and boots of all heights remain popular this fall and are joined by the reinvented clog and menswear-inspired oxford. Rosettes and kitten heels adorn simple silhouettes for a feminine twist, while studs, zippers and buckles are added to give sleekness and edge.

Target accessories and shoes range in price from $7.99 to $49.99 at select Target stores nationwide, with select pieces also available at

What do you think of the Target Fall 2010 Trend Accessories Collection? Are you planning on purchasing any of the items? Have you seen any of them already available in your store? Please do share! :)

Have a beautiful and blessed day!

  1. I am really liking that Target is using real suedes and leathers in some of their shoes. I am looking hard at those suede wedges! I think those could be great for fall.

  2. I think Target does a great job on their trendy pieces, so I look forward to seeing the fall pieces in person. The suede wedges are something I might want to try out - I like the deep purple and bordeaux! I'm also looking at
    these cute yellow flats.

  3. Oops, meant to also wish your son a happy birthday!!

  4. Great post- I LOVE Target -- its like the forever 21 for people 25 and older! :) I actually like the designs and materials of their house brands like mossimo, etc more than I like designer collaborations. They always do a terrific job. Great post.

  5. I hope you and your family have a WONDERFUL Birthday celebration with your son. Children (and Grandchildren) are such a blessing.

  6. Happy birthday wishes to your eldest son! What a celebration!

When I see such great value at Target I realize how over priced JCrew and Anthro are.
I'm always on the look out for shoes at my local Target but most of my sizes are sold out. I'm going to have to check out that suede wedge before that happens!

  7. I actually bought the black Merona watch last night. It's really, really simple and completely fab!

  8. Happy BDay to Fabulous Florida Son ;-)

Target will not disappoint this fall. Thanks for letting us know :-)

  9. Hi Ladies! Thank you all so much for stopping by, and for all the birthday wishes for my son! :)

Desert Flower, shopwithm, and jcrewphd: The suede wedges look really nice. I'd love to hear what you think of them if you get the chance to see them IRL.

shopwithm: The yellow flats are supercute and such a great shade of yellow, too. Perfect for fall. :)

    Ruby Mines: Thank you! :)

Irene: Children are indeed such a blessing...I am very thankful to have mine and have been blessed many times over. :)

anon@5:07: Congrats on the watch! I'm going to check my Target for them now that I know they're in stores.

Gigi: ITA...Target definitely will not disappoint. In fact, they seem to just be getting even better. :)

  10. Happy Birthday to your son!! I love Target's boots but I wish they'd make wide calf versions. The taller ones are impossible for me to slide into.

  11. Thanks Roxy! :)

I feel for you with the whole wide-calf issue and knee boots. I also have very wide calves and an equally difficult time finding boots that fit. I actually tried on the lug boots at Target last year and they fit me...I was very surprised. They also had a pair of Equestrian style boots last year that fit my calves, too. I think I may just give the grey suede pair at Target a try again this year. I need an affordable grey boot and it looks like this one just might fit the bill. :)

  12. I really enjoyed shopping at Target all the years I did. Unfortunately I am now, like many others, boycotting the company.
I live in Minnesota, where Target's headquarters are located. Target recently made a huge donation towards the extreme right-winger Tom Emmer's gubernatorial campaign in Minnesota. In involvement of Target in politics to this extent has alienated many of its customers, especially since Target has, as you mention in your post, donated to schools, as well as having received a high rating from the Human Rights Campaign and having stated on their web site their commitment to diversity, the environment, and schools. Tom Emmer is against everything that Target as a company says it is for (the CEO's personal political donations notwithstanding), and he is an extremely polarizing figure, racist, anti-poor, anti-gay, anti-environment.
I'm not giving Target another dollar knowing that it is going directly into Tom Emmer's campaign. No thing is worth that.
