Style Inspiration by FFM: *Basic.2*

Hello my dear readers! Today's post continues an ongoing feature called *Style Inspiration by FFM*, where I will post one of my Polyvore set designs and include links to items you can purchase to re-create the look if you so choose. Some of the set designs will be outfits I am wearing or have worn in the past, others will be *reader request* sets, and some will simply be outfits I would love to wear. (If possible I try to include a *real life* photo of me in the outfit if it's something I'm wearing at the time. Of course my schedule doesn't always allow time for snapping a pic, but it is definitely something I hope to include more of with this feature in the future.)

Now on to today's *Style Inspiration by FFM*...this set is a casual outfit I have worn a couple of times, and is one of my current favorites. I love the look of a white blouse worn with a pair of jeans and fabulous accessories...basic, yet incredibly chic at the same time. :)

The Details:

My white blouse is the Banana Republic Short-sleeve wrap shirt. I love the feminine silhouette and bow tied at the waist...a fun and different take on the basic white blouse. (Similar here and here.)

The AG Tomboy Crops were purchased from Anthropologie last year. They're sold out now, but similar styles are still available such as this pair or this pair.

I purchased my Monet Gold Hoop Earrings at Macy's. They aren't available online, but you can find similar options here and here.

My gold oversized watch is from Target and is a great less-expensive alternative to this one from Michael Kors. It runs large, but I had a jeweler remove a couple of the links and it's now a perfect fit. I love it AND the price! :)

The Triple Scrolled-link Bracelet is from J.Crew a couple of years ago. It is big, bold, and looks great layered with the watch.

The Kenneth Jay Lane Champs-Elysees 8-3/4" Bracelet is one of my favorite jewelry pieces. It is big and bold, yet lightweight...the perfect statement piece. I purchased it at early last year, so it is sold out now, but there are similar options here, here, here, and here.

I purchased my Angela Caputi Chain Link Bracelet from Serena Italian Imports back in December of last year. I absolutely love it and wear it all the time. It's the same one seen in this photo and this photo from The Sartorialist. (I actually have both bracelets, but haven't worn them as a pair yet.) The bracelet is also sold here at the "Off Broadway" Boutique.

My Tory Burch Greta Wedge Clogs were purchased in early December last year and quickly became one of my favorites. They go with numerous outfits in my wardrobe and get worn quite frequently. (The clogs are still available in limited sizes on the Tory Burch website.)

The Banana Republic Goa 4-Pocket Hobo Handbag was purchased last year at a great discount and also gets carried quite frequently. I love the color and it goes perfectly with the Gretas, too. It's sold out now, but you find a similar one here and here.

That's it...not complicated at all, but still comfortable, pulled-together, and casually chic. :)

Have a beautiful and blessed day!

  1. Love this look...very chic! That bag is awesome...the perfect color! Happy V-day!

  2. Thanks Jenni! Happy Valentine's Day to you, too! :)

  3. I so love this look. Simple, casual yet chic!

  4. There are so many links I'm visiting now becasue of you!! ;) Happy Valentine's Day.

How do Tory Burch shoes run, size wise? Not sure if I should splurge or not!

  5. Love it. You made my outfit for tomorrow a no-brainer. Dark jeans, cute shoes and a chic white shirt. DONE!

  6. Hi FFM, Love this outfit: classic with classic accessories! love those bracelets! I too am wondering how the wedges run size wise....thanks!

  7. MP, Janna, and Margaret: THANK YOU! :)

MP and Margaret: I find the wedges to run true to size/a teeny touch big. I am normally a 9.5 and that's what my TB wedge clogs are. I did have to put a heel insert in to avoid a bit of slippage, but otherwise they fit great. HTH! :)

  8. I absolutely love this outfit! I am especially coveting the shoes and purse :) Thank you for sharing!

  9. Hi!

Love the look you put together on Polyvore. We are doing a polyvore set using the Angela Caputi bracelets and came across your blog post.

We saw that mentioned our boutique and wanted to give a "Thanks!" and say Hello!

    Kind Regards,
    Off Broadway Boutique

  10. poca: You're welcome! Thank you for stopping by to comment! :)
