Madewell: Free Shipping/No Minimum Promo

Happy Thursday! I hope you're having a great week so far! :) I wanted to let you know that Madewell is offering FREE SHIPPING with NO MINIMUM purchase amount on all orders until 3.13.11 with code SHOPAWAY at checkout. What a great time to give them a try if you haven't already! :)

I have to say that I am quite impressed with Madewell and have been very pleased with all of my purchases so far. The quality has been decent, the shipping fast, and overall shopping experience very pleasurable. I have found the sizing to be comparable to J.Crew, so when ordering I have gotten my *J.Crew size*. I definitely think they are worth giving a try, and with the Free Shipping/No Minimum promotion it's the perfect time. :) Here are some of my picks from the Madewell site:

*Set Sail Tank. Cute on it's own or layered under a cardigan or under a blazer like in the pic above.
*Shadow-stripe Shirt. I love this particularly in the Naval Blue color, but the Pink Oyster does remind me of a shirt Fiona wore on Burn Notice last season...perfect for the hot and humid temps of Florida. I've been trying to hold out for this one until it goes on sale, but with warmer temps already here, my resolve is waning quickly.
*Widelegger Jean. These are finally back in stock (although waitlisted) after selling out upon their initial website debut. I love me some wide leg jeans and am looking forward to giving them a try. FYI: All jeans on the Madewell site ship for FREE and can be returned for FREE if they don't work out...gotta love that!
*Paisley Fields Dress. So pretty and feminine, plus the color and print look absolutely lovely...perfect for the warm weather months quickly approaching.
*Shadow-stripe Tank. Similar to the shirt above, but this one will work great as a layering piece under cardigans and blazers or simply worn on its own.
*Shimmer Dust Tee. Love all 3 colors in this one.
*Pemberley Blouse. Wow! The Gemstone color is gorgeous, and reports from JCAs that have purchased Madewell silk blouses are all very positive. Plus this one is on sale!

*Pinstripe Boyshirt. This one reminds me of my Slim-stripe Shirt seen in this post. The Pinstripe Boyshirt is on sale and keeps popping back in different sizes. It's a *boyfriend* fit so I would personally size down if getting it.
*Ex-boyfriend Sweater. I think this is so cute! The fit appears to be oversized, so I would size down on it, as well.
*Spring Sonnet, love, love.

*Scenic-Route Dress. This looks so comfortable and the length is decent, too. I love both colors.
*The Dusty Roads this color! Such a great neutral to wear with anything and everything.
*The Sidewalk Wedge. These have been on my wish list in the Beach Pebble color since they made their debut. I really hope they make it to sale in my size...
*Perfect Leather Belt. I would size down and wear this one at the waistline over a dress, sweater, or tunic.
*Anchors Away Necklace. How cute is this? Love both colors. :)
*Silk Safari Shirt. I LOVE this, especially in the Red Hibiscus color, although I actually wouldn't mind having all three colors. This is such a great shirt for spring and summer worn with capris, white denim, or a skirt.

Are you planning to take advantage of the Free Shipping/No Minimum promotion at Madewell? Have you made a purchase from Madewell already? Is there anything you love and would highly recommend? Please do share! :)

Have a beautiful and blessed day!

  1. I just made my first Madewell purchase with a 20% off and free ship code I received via email. I am awaiting the arrival of the shadow stripe shirt in naval blue. It's a sheer silk, looks perfect for a warm climate. I hope it works!

Your picks are great, FFM. Love that safari style dress.

  2. FFM, What size did you get in the black and white shirt? TIA

  3. Collette: Thank you as always for stopping by! :)

Desert Flower: Thanks! I can't wait to hear what you think about the shadow-stripe shirt! :)

Anon@8:06: I have the black and white slim stripe shirt in a size small because that's all that was available. I would have gone with the XSmall if I could have. HTH! :)

  4. I guess i need to stop thinking about the Madewell painters pants I wore in my teens and get in to this gorgeous store!

  6. Monogramgirl...too funny about the painter pants! Madewell has come a long way, no? I really think they are worth giving a try. If you look past the styling that's meant for those *younger* than us, there really are some nice pieces that can easily work in our more *age appropriate* wardrobes. :)

  7. I am liking this stuff better than J Crew. But I usually love your picks, FFM!

I wish I had a BM somewhere in my state so that I could try on the pieces IRL. Even with free shipping, I am so hard to fit that I'm reluctant to order. The silk blouses are TDF and I have such a hard time fitting into any type of button down, esp when there are no petite sizes offered.

  8. Generation Kvetch: Exactly! The offerings at Madewell have been much more exciting than at J.Crew lately. Maybe as their following gets larger they'll add petite and tall sizes, too. I agree that it's frustrating not to have a store to try things on, but at least most of the time you can get free shipping to your house. It would be a lot nicer if they offered free returns on everything and not just their jeans though. :)

  9. I am very tempted by the dust tee in gold but I am afraid it will be too over the top gold and $58 for a tee is a bit steep even with the free shipping. Also very tempted by the cadet cardigan (I saw it in store and it is very good quality even if I can't comment on the fit because they were out of small sizes) but would wait for further markdowns or a % off since it is on sale.
Beware of the anchor necklace: the pendant is very small and looks very cheap (I saw it IRL). They have a brooch that is much better IMO.

  10. Thanks for sharing! Fabulous outfit choices!
